"You're waiting here again?" Came a voice from behind him, he didn't turn to great the angel.

"Ya know, usually one would reply," he fished.

The angel huffed and sat down next to him. They sat in silence, looking over the edge of the cliff for a time. Finally the demon replied,"Why do you keep coming here?"

"Isn't it obvious?" He replied,"I'm here to keep you from falling down to humanity."

"Right, you have to protect humanity. I should have guessed,"He stood.

Alex caught the hurt in his voice,"What do you mean? There's more than one reason for most actions!"

He turned to see a grin on the others face,"We don't see many demons, I mean, you guys aren't really able to get over there," he gestures towards heaven,"So when I saw you on the edge I was curious."

"Curious?"

"Well, it's not like we don't talk about demons. There's a lot of stories about demons corrupting or taking the souls of humans, but you seem all right." He smiled Brightly up at the other.

The demon felt a sly grin spread across his face,"Not so bad?"

He throws himself at the angel, pinning him down. His wings fluffed up fearfully. Adorable.

"Hey!" His voice trembled,"Why...?"

"Why so afraid, Al? I'm "not so bad", aren't I?"

The angels face was pink,"You're.. You're not going to hurt me! If you were you would have done it before now!"

He didn't reply, instead he pulled he angel up into his arms. He hugged him, pressing his face into his shoulder.

"Wha?"

"You could say I've been observing humans, an interest that is frowned upon. I am... Broken? It's like, demons don't have emotions but I do for some reason?" Alex pulled his wings up around the two.

"So I assume, because they don't feel, they aren't working to your needs?" He asks.

He nods. Even if the angel didn't actually care about him, it felt nice for someone to understand. Did angels feel? They must for him to understand, unless he knew from humans.

He let go of the other,"I should go."

"I'll see you here again soon, correct?"

"Yeah."

"Farewell then...?"

"Zex."

"Alex," As if he hadn't already introduced himself the first time they sat her together.

"Goodbye Alex."
