Amour Day Special ~ Flashback
"You're leaving me Delia?" I protested, stamping my foot and crossing my arms.
She gave me a stern look. "Ash Ketchum!" She took my hand, engulfing it in hers. "You will go to this camp and you will call me Mom."
"Fine, Mom." I snorted, still disapproving of the situation.
I noticed a Poliwag heading into the forest, looking around slightly, as if searching for someone. "Ooh! A Poliwag! I've never seen one!" I chased after it, waving back at the woman behind me. "Bye Delia!"
"Ash Ketchum-!" Her voice was silenced by the trees as I raced through them. I jumped over small bushes and swung across low branches. Seeing the Poliwag up ahead, I call out, "Hey! Poliwag!" I waved as it startled and turn towards me. "Wanna hang?" I threw out a hand.
The Poliwag stared at me then my hand and back again. Then it dashed through a large bush, a surprised cry following it.
I gasped. "Poliwag? Poliwag are you okay?" The bush rustled as I pushed the branches aside. "Poliwag? Where are you?" I shoved the last leaves away and found scared blue eyes staring up at me.
"Hi there!" I grinned. She's cute. "My name's-" I hesitated a second before groaning in my head. "-Ash! Nice to meet-cha!"
She sniffled, tears brimming her eyes. "H-hi."
"Can you stand?"
"My leg..." She stared down at the red welt tainting her skin. "It hurts." She cried.
"Here." I pulled a handkerchief from my pocket and wrapped it around her leg. "Pain, pain, go away!" I chanted, smiling. "It makes it feel better." I explained to her.
"It still hurts..." She complains again and I ponder for a moment. How do I help her without hurting her more? I smirk.
I offer her my hand, and pull her up, right into my arms. Her hair smells like marigold. Wow...
She pulls away, pink tinting her cheeks. We beam at each other before walking out of the forest hand in hand.
"Mommy!" She cried out, her arms wrapping around the leg of a dark purple haired woman.
"My darling girl, oh my baby!" The woman dropped to a knee, hugging her daughter.
"Thank you Ash." Straw-hat girl looked up, cerulean blue eyes shining.
I could feel my heart pounding hard, like a stampede of Tarus. As she left, my heart knew I wanted to see her again.
