Round 2, Chapter 3: Last Minute Reconcile

"Ok, now that that part's out of the way, I'm sure you all have a lot of questions." The announcer said. "First off, for all the people that've been here before, you can tell I'm not the original host. Our usual announcer is a little busy and he wanted me to take charge of this batch for whatever reason. So hello there! Second of all, I already did the whole intro thing but I still need to explain everything else about this for the new people.
"This is Flicker, a real life murder mystery game where losing the game ultimately means losing your life. The goal is simple; use the information you can gather to get rid of the Murderer, or get rid of everyone else before they can figure you out. I may or may not have forgotten to hand out roles this morning, my bad, so I'll explain what each one does and give them out later when they're ready.
"The Murderer is the main role. Their job is to kill everyone they see in this house. And I mean brutally murder everyone in here. Every night they are allowed to target and maim one person, and once they've done just that, the killed is gone. Done, dead, completely. No take backs.
"The other main role is the Survivor. Survivors have no special abilities and are only there to basically be sitting ducks. Sorry if you get this one, but everyone who doesn't get a special role will just get this one by default so it's very likely for you to have it.
"The Investigator is allowed to vote for someone twice, and their vote will be made public, though their identity will remain just as anonymous as every other roles'. The old announcer wanted me to tell you it was supposed to be the, quote on quote, 'leader' of the good team, but honestly it kinda sucks, so I'm not calling it that.
"The Medic can protect one player every night from the Murderer. The Murderer is not allowed to harm the Medic or the targeted player when this happens, but if the Murderer attacks someone the Medic isn't protecting, someone will still die. Usually the Medic isn't allowed to protect themselves at all, but this time they're allowed to protect themselves for one night only. Even if the Murderer doesn't come after them, they won't be able to do it again.
"The Twins share a soul bond, meaning that if one Twin gets targeted by the Murderer, the other will get killed as well. But, if one of the Twins gets protected by the Medic, the other will also be safe. If you get the Twin role, you'll also be provided with the name of another competitor, and that other competitor will be your Twin. All it is is just double or nothing.
"The Muffin Man is a very cosmetic role. They're allowed to give out muffins every night, any flavor and any kind goes. There's not much to it other than it might be useful when you're getting suspicious to everyone else, but it's pretty cool to have, plus it's my favorite!
"And last but not least, the Psychic is probably one of the most powerful roles here. They are allowed to uncover one person's role every night. This one was changed a little like the Medic was. Usually the Psychic would only be told if the person they checked was the Murderer or not, so every other role would just be labeled as 'Good'. But this time I was allowed to let the Psychic know their exact role! So instead of just being good, they'll be told if they're the Investigator, a Survivor, you get the drill. You're welcome!
"The lights will shut off at about 2 AM every night, and that is when the special roles will be able to use their abilities. After the lights come back on, players will be given some time to look around the crime scene for any clues they can find. Once the time is up, you will be asked to take a vote on a small tablet that'll appear on the kitchen table, don't ask how they do that, that's a question for the other guy. Take the one with your name on it and select the icon of the player you want to vote for, and after everyone's done voting, the player with the most votes will be removed from the game. Aka, they'll die, even if the accusation isn't correct. That's all I have written down here, I'm assuming that's all I need to say, so I guess I'll be back later. And by later, I mean in less than 10 minutes, because you guys woke up way later than I thought you would and it's currently 1:54 in the morning. Bye!"
And with that, the speaker finally shut off. The newer people started talking among themselves while the rest of us stayed in a shocked silence. Well, it was a shocked silence until someone started to scream.
"I CAN'T DO THIS! I CAN'T DO THIS AGAIN!" Jojo yelled, running into Solitary. Chidi followed after him, along with me and few other people while everyone else went to look around. Jojo was banging on the door to the outside, or more like punching it, no doubt it should've broken if it were a normal door. Instead, his hands started to bleed, and Chidi had to pull him away. Splinters were stuck in his hand, but the door just seemed to fix itself after every snap and crack. Despite this, Jojo still tried to wiggle out of Chidi's grasp.
"Jojo, calm down dude!" Chidi said, struggling to hold him back. Eventually, Trey came in to help keep him stable too, and I felt bad for seeing something that looked so personal, so I left without another word.
As I walked towards the kitchen to see if there was anything around to distract myself with, I looked up to the same pitch black figure I've been seeing for years now, standing in the corner of the kitchen while Vinny, Jackson, Peter and Eva were just inches away from it having a discussion about god knows what. When I first started seeing it, it was only something I saw out of the corner of my eye, or worst case scenario, which happened a lot, when I got sleep paralysis. But for about the past year this thing's been getting so much worse. I'd been able to see it completely unprovoked, sometimes in my house, sometimes outside in public, there was even one time when I looked in my mirror and that thing would've been breathing down my neck if it even breathed, it was that close. But not once has it ever said a word to me. Occasionally it'd move ever so slightly, but that was the most it ever did. The only real feature it had was its golden yellow eyes, which I swear I've seen before somewhere. It stared at me, I stared back at it. I had no idea how long I'd just been standing there when I felt a hand on my shoulder and heard someone call my name, breaking me out of my trance.
"Charlie?" Ally called to me. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah, just... just thinking, that's all." I said, looking back at the spot to see the monster had disappeared. Ally gave me a quick hug.
"Let's stay together for the night. It'll be safer that way." She said. I smiled a little in her embrace.
"Yeah." Was all I could say before the lights suddenly turned off. Naturally, there were screams of panic coming from every which way, so I held onto Ally's hand tightly as she led me to the closest wall and sat us down. I had almost forgotten that we didn't get roles yet, so I was a little surprised when a single word rolled through my head.

I decided to hide in the Solitary room, backing into the far right corner from the door. It was pitch black, but at least I'd still have a slight chance of seeing someone come through if I stayed where I was. Which, lo and behold, I instead heard someone walk in.
"Seung, you in here?" I heard Miguel call for me, more whisper-yelling than anything. I wasn't gonna say anything, but I groaned in annoyance anyway.
"I'm right here." I reluctantly said. I heard him tip-toe his way over to my spot and stand next to me.
"Don't think just because we're twins it means you can suddenly be all buddy buddy with me." I growled.
"I'm not being 'buddy buddy'. It's just safer to be with another person." Miguel said. I rolled my eyes.
"Then go be with Reza or something, don't come crawling to me like a little goblin." I said. As my sight started to clear up in the dark, I noticed a new figure standing in the doorway.
"Look, there's like a thousand people in the living room and you're the only person I saw going somewhere else, I had to follow you." Miguel said.
"I'm not interrupting something am I?" The figure at the door spoke, walking into the room and up to us.
"God dammit, the only reason I came here was so that I could hide from the Murderer, not have every person in this fucking building find me!" I groaned.
"Well don't worry, you did hide from the Murderer-" They said. There was a slight relief that came with that sentence, but it left just as quickly as I felt something wet splash on me. Then I saw Miguel collapse as I looked over at the other person and realized they were holding something sharp.
"-just not for long enough." They chuckled, beginning to walk out when they stopped. My breath hitched and my body froze as they turned to me.
"Looks like I caught a Twin by accident. What a good sign for me!" They said, readying their blade again as my fight or flight instincts finally kicked in and I ran for dear life. But they had me cornered, and my movements came to a halt when the figure swung their blade into my gut. I stumbled backwards and fell to the ground, landing right next to Miguel's body. The burning pain was unbearable and I couldn't bring myself to get back up. I heard the Murderer laugh and leave the room, leaving both of us to bleed out.
"Hey..." I heard Miguel call, just able to hear him over the ringing in my ears.
"Miguel..." I said, straining my voice just to speak, "shut the fuck up..."
"I'm sorry..."
