Knuckles pov

I was sitting on my rock in deep meditation. I've been told that medication can help unlock your mind and since I'm admittedly not the sharpest tool in the fruit basket I figured it could help me come up with a plan-

"Chao chao"

I opened one eye in annoyance to see a chao tugging on my arm.

"This better be good" I growled but the chao didn't move. Those little creatures don't seem to take my threats seriously.

"Chao!" He pulled me onto my feet and down the stairs.

"Hey hold on" I protested as it dragged me through the woods.

We stopped at a tree where a green and blue chao tied to a tree. I raised an eyebrow before walking over and cutting them down. They flew over to their friend and embraced each other. I smiled softly. They might be a pain but they sure are cute-

Suddenly like a sixth sense I got the sudden urge to dodge. I ducked down as a kunai hit the tree. I heard a string of curses coming from the trees before the rustling of leaves faded into the distance.

"Oh no you don't" I growled as I chased after him. The boy was quick and agile but I was determined. I'm not letting him get away. Not after he used that chao to get to me.

"Gah" I lunged forward, grabbing ahold of him. Unfortunately I didn't think over my actions and sent the two of us tumbling downwards...
