Knuckles pov

We arrived back at the island ready to cuddle down under the stars with a warm blanket between each other when-

"Attach!" Before I could react the three ninjas from espios old group were pinning me down with a kunai to my throat.

"Knuckles-" he was stopped by a kunai to his throat.

"We'll deal with you later tratoir" he growled "now it's about time we ended the life of our target"

"No!" He streamed as the kunai came closer to my throat, causing a thin line of blood. I sent a glare their way. If I'm going to die then I'm not going down obediently-

"Stop!" Espio called out "I'll go with you quietly just please don't kill him"

The main ninja gestured for the others. The nodded and got off of me.

"I suppose letting one target go is worth your cooperation" she smirked "you will honour your word won't you? I know how much your honour means to you"

"I will" he nodded.

"No I won't let you go with these jerks" I grabbed him by the shoulders. He looked away with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry knuckles but it's best if you forget all about me" he walked away with the others as I watched helplessly. This can't be happening.
