Depending on you

She was in deep trouble, she didn't know what to do at this point. Despite the amount of studying that she did with Steve, she somehow still failed her math test the next day. Her grade was now a D- and when she was in English class she got called out of class the day after the test to talk to her counselor.

"Hey is everything okay?" Steve asked.

"Yeah I am sure," She said grabbing her stuff. "I will see you at lunch?" She asked and he nodded with a smile. Steve and her relationship was great, they were going to tell their friends today that they were officially together, but she had to focus on other things at the moment.

She really thought about running away at this point, it seemed better than actually going in and talking to her, however she was sure Nick would figure out she was running before she could even make it out the door. This was her safer option, even if it scared the shit out of her.

"Mrs. Romanoff," her counselor smiled as she saw Natasha walk in.

"Please, call me Natasha," She answered taking a seat across from her.

"Okay Natasha, I assume you know why you are here?" She asked typing on her computer probably pulling up her file.

"Umm, I guess I do." She said.

"Okay, so I am currently looking at the rest of your grades for this year and you are doing extremely well, even in English and I know it's not your first language so congratulations on that." She smiled.

"Yeah English has never been a real problem for me, learning new Languages comes easy, I actually know four other languages." She smiled.

"Well that is really impressive. Unfortunetly we aren't here to talk about your ability to learn languages, we are here to talk about you math grade." Natasha looked down. "Listen in most cases I wouldn't call a student out for one bad grade, but in your case you are a foreign exchange student and in order to stay here you must have a C or above, and you have a D-"

"I have been trying, I actually spent the entirety of Sunday working on studying for the test but I guess it wasn't enough." She sighed.

"Listen Natasha I like you, your a good student, excelling in many things and the principle seems to like you," A small smirk fell on her lips but quickly faded. "We have decided to give you by the end of the month to get your grade up."

"The end of the month? That's in three weeks!" She complained.

"Your teacher has two tests coming up, and not to mention all the homework he assigns." She said. "If you are serious about staying here then you are going to have to work really hard. If you pass each test with at least a B then your grade will go up."

"And if I don't?" She questions although she already figured out the answer.

"I believe in you Natasha," She replied instead. "Do you want me to set up a tutor for you?"

"No no, I can't have a tutor."

"She'll get a tutor." Natasha turned around to see Nick standing there with papers in his hands. "Came to drop these off." He turned to Natasha. "If you want to stay you are getting a tutor-"

"I can have Steve tutor me he's great at math." Natasha tried.

"No, I don't need you two making googly eyes at each other instead of studying." He said and then looked at the counselor, "I know just the kid for the Job," Natasha knew the look on both of their faces. Her heart dropped.

"No no No"

"Looks like I am tutoring you!" Standing before her was no other than Tony Stark with a smug look on his face. "See I told you you'd come back to me."

"I was never with you," She rolled her eyes. "Listen neither of us wants to do this, so why don't you do us both a favor and leave? You can tell Nick that you did your job and you get a pat on the back or whatever it is they promised you and then I go spend some time with my boyfriend."

"First off, you have a boyfriend? Who? Wait is it me?"

"Why on Earth would it be you?"

"I don't know I space out a lot that sometimes I miss some pretty big things." He shrugged.

"Besides aren't you dating Pepper?"

"Most of the time I don't know, we do date sometimes but other times she tells me I am the biggest idiot she's ever met and doesn't talk to me for days. So I wouldn't know how to answer that." He shrugged. "oh back to the conversation at hand, I will not leave. I am here to help...besides Mrs Fury scares me I'd rather not lie to her or her husband."

"Are you seriously going to make me spend three weeks studying with you?" She asked.

"If you don't run off then yes. That's exactly what I am going to make you do." He said.

"You can not tell anyone about this." She said as Tony took all the books out of his backpack, they were at the library at the moment, it was completely empty because no ever goes to the library.

"I don't know. Can you imagine what everyone will say when they find out I am tutoring you?" He asked. "I think it would do wonders for my reputation."

"You don't have a reputation." She rolled her eyes. "and if you ever dream of getting one then I suggest you keep that mouth of yours shut."

"What's in it for me?"

"What do you want?" She asked.

"I want to know your whole story."

"Why?" She asked defeated and taking a seat on the table where Tony put all his stuff.

"I don't know, you intrigue me I guess." He said. "You came here out of nowhere and you got the attention of everyone, I'd like to know who you are. Besides we are friends right?"

"I mean I guess." She shrugged. "I will tell you what every day you are able to keep this secret I will tell you one thing about myself." She said.

"Deal," He smiled. "Why don't you want anyone to know you are getting tutored?"

"It's embarrassing," She shrugged. "Can I trust you?"

"Of course," He nodded. "Besides you kind of scare me too. The good news is, you can't kill me, you need on me, practically depend  on me."

"You know if you don't want me to hit you in the face I suggest you shut up," She said and Tony held his hands up in defense.

"Okay let's get started." Natasha couldn't believe the entirety of her stay in America depended on Tony Stark. Things were really getting insane at this point in her life. Let's hope it actually helps.
