Tohru was walking to Kaibara Municipal High School with her friends, Momiji, Kyo and Yuki Sohma. 

It seem like a typical day for the group, although, the main thing is that Tohru kept a secret from everyone she had interact with. 

The Sohmas hid a family secret that been held for many generations. They have the animal zodiac curse which is the ability to transform into the year of the animals they were born in.

Tohru doesn't mind of the family curse and that it really adapts to her everyday life since she lives with the family as well.

As they were going to the high school, a girl around their age, suddenly spoke to the group.

"Excuse me! " She said, as Tohru looked at her uniform. "Ah, you go to the same school as us?" 

She nods, "Y-yeah. I'm actually lost. I simply..."  

"It's no problem, you can walk with us. It's not that far from where we are." Yuki said, trying to smooth the girl's worry.

"Some weird girl ." Kyo mutter in his breath, as that it truly bothers him, as Momiji didn't say a word to her.

Anita was a little bit surprised. It was her first time interacting with other people, despite of her insecurities .

Tohru went to her seat, as her homeroom teacher cleared his throat to get the kids' attention. "Please pay a warm welcome to your new classmate. Please write your name in the blackboard and introduce yourself." 

Tohru was stunned. "This girl... she was the one we bumped into on our way here." 

"Hello. I'm Tsuki Anita. I'm a freshmen and I hope that everyone could be kind... That's all." She introduce herself. 

She hurried to her seat, as she glaces at the school window, not to attract attention to anyone in her class. 

Tohru, however seemed to be curious about her, as that she wonders about what her personality was. 

As the school bell rings, Anita spotted the familiar group. Tohru asked, "Yuki, are you coming home late?"

He nodded, confirming her concerns, "Yes, you know it is really hard work, and I don't want to let the school body counsel down. " 

"Hey! Yuki, we really need you back here!" Yuki heard his friend, Kakeru Manabe said. 

"Coming! Oh, can you get Momiji too, Ms. Honda? He intends to wonder off somewhere again." Yuki asked, politely. 

"Sure, I'll do just that. Don't worry so hard, ok?" She said, beaming. Anita was curious, overhearing their conversation.

"That is Yuki Sohma, the one of the members of the Sohma Clan. They're very popular here in school." A girl said, which Anita jumped. 

"Sorry to scare ya. " She replied, "I'm Arisa Outani, this gothi girl next to me, is Saki Hanajima. " Anita seems to be amazed of those two of know the popular group of teens in her new school. 

"Awe, Tohru! Are you heading home?" Arisa asked her, as that she nods, "Yep, but Momiji is going off again. 

I have to find him before he gets himself lost going back to the family esate." 

"Oh, that blond boy I saw earlier?" Anita thought in her mind, remembering the encounter they had briefly. 

"Well, that boy has some issues, maybe he is where you go to work, Tohru, that is where he might go to." Saki suggested. 

Tohru thought for a moment, as that she knew that is the only explanation . "Right, off I go!" 

She speeds away, leaving the girls, as Anita couldn't believe how fast she could run. "She's an enthusiastic girl, don't you think?"

"She's doing it again, always caring for others again as if her friend's problems are hers. That is what type of person she is. " A new voice spoke up.

Anita looked to see it was no other than Kyo Sohma. He seems to be speaking softly about Tohru like she was his personal treasure.

"I figured that stupid rat is going to working late as usual. I'm heading back before he shows up to annoy me." 

He walks away as Anita titled her head in confusion of that comment. "Did I hear that right? Did Kyo refer Yuki as an animal?" 

As she was walking home, she saw Momiji . He was all alone, as that he was sitting next to a window. 

"Momiji? That's your name isn't?" Anita asked. 

"Oh, u must be that girl, ya? That's me. Why you come here?" Momji asked. 

"Um, I was kind of wondering why you here all on your own? Yuki was asked by Tohru to look for you." She explained. 

"Oh, is that so? I was actually wondering about something. " He said, which Anita was curious. "About what, exactly?"

"About how life I should've gotten. " He replied. Anita seems to be seeing things. His facial expression on his face was sad, like he was doubting himself, like she was doing to herself as well.

Anita knew that his feelings are something so similar to hers, but she couldn't have the courage to speak up about how she truly felt. 

As she was about to go to him, she slipped through the slippery, waxed floor, Momiji exclaimed, "Watch out!" 

Tohru came running, but she was too late to react from what had happened beforehand. An explosion came out of Momiji as that it was revealed that they had accidentally touched each other. 

"Oh, gods. I'm so so sorry! Are you o-" Anita asked, but what she was holding wasn't Momiji at all.

In his place, there was a yellow rabbit, which Tohru begins to sweat nervously, as if things had been so nostalgic for her as to remembering the very first time she met the Sohma family and learning about the animal zodiac curse, when Kyo crashed through the roof of her room.

"What the-???????????????????????????" Anita exclaimed, being so stunned of what she had been seeing.

"Anita, c-calm down, we can explain everything back at the house. " Tohru said, being worried about her new friend's sudden reaction of seeing the zodiac animal firsthand. 

In that moment, Anita's new school life was never going to be ordinary again.
