"After the sudden monster attack, the citizens of Mustafu have been still trying to recover from all the property damage as well as casualties. The numbers continued to rise up during the search and rescue attempts. Updates will be reported once the information is received."

Moments after the Monster Attack in Mustafu ended...

We last left off with the vigilantes where were caught in the mess of the monster outbreak. Located in a warehouse near by, Hajime, Yang, and Kaori are talking about the chaos...

(Hajime's POV)

"Kaori. Yang."
"I know what you are going say, Hajime... and I'm pissed about it too."
"Was this some kind of set up by the f**king doctor?! Was he trying get us all killed or something?!"
"Kaori calm down."
"Calm down? Calm down?! Yang we could have been f**king killed out there if we had injected those monsters with the quirk enhancing drug or whatever the hell that shit was!"

The three of us were in a safe house as we were talking about the craziness that erupted. Yang, despite being angry about this situation, was the calmest one in the group as he was just smoking his cigarette.
"Kaori... I know you are upset, but lashing out here isn't going to do shit for you. All three of us aren't happy with this stunt the Doc pulled. Killing a group of  men who didn't even realize what they signed up for. It's tragic." With a sigh, Yang was unable to let go of the screams he heard over the walkie talkies.
"I swear I'm going to kill that bastard! I can't believe that greedy old piece of shit was trying to play us like his lab rats for his stupid experiments!"

Suddenly, I snapped. Slamming my fist to the wall, letting out sparks of lightning sporadically.
"God f**king damn it Kaori! Quit whining like a damn b**ch will you?!"
Kaori flinched as he was ready to snap back, but hesitated.
As I let out a sigh, I tried to collect myself.
"Look... there's only one thing we can do. We need to leave this area as soon as possible. The Doc probably thinks we were killed in this attack, giving us some breathing room to leave. However, we need to stay out of the sight of cameras in case he is watching. With the free time we have, we can come up with a plan on how to get back at that bastard."

Yang chuckled.
"Whatever the plan is, I'm already in. However, we are going to need to be careful because there's no denying that he is heavily guarded, as well as Mr. All for One. So there's a lot to be aware of if we plan to take on the Doc."
Kaori didn't say anything, but nodded in agreement.

"Well I guess it's best we try to find some more people to join us too because I know just the three of us won't be enough. Plus, we need to still get some money on the side... because just sitting around here, we aren't earning anything."
As the other two smiled and agreed.
"So it's settled. Lets get out of here and make our way up north. As long as we stay out of sight of the cameras, we will be clear of the Doc's line of sight."

As we exited the abandoned building, we go into a black suv and drove away. With Yang on the wheel, I had some time to think for a bit as we drove past the destruction that was left behind after all the chaos. It was dreadful to see how much damage those monsters made as well as the casualties of people who were both injured and killed. Even some pro heroes weren't so lucky. All this left a bitter taste in my mouth as I can hear the voices of those men screaming after getting mauled to death. However, those were the Doctor's men... not mine. I can careless about them but I know now that working with a shady scumbag like him means you're basically sacrificing yourself for his own cause.

"Hey Hajime."
"Yeah Kaori?"
"Why are we heading up north?"
I forgot that Kaori was still new to the team, despite joining us at a young age. Though I haven't taken him to our original hideout in Japan.

"We are heading north to our old hideout. We used to be stationed up in Kanazawa, but we left it to come to Mustafu after many of our old team members abandoned us. However, if we can establish communications safely out of range of this location, it can give us a chance to contact our original boss that's stationed in the U.S."
"Why would they abandon you guys?"
That's when Yang butted in.
"It's because we weren't as big back then. Thankful, we got more and more connections throughout time and managed to find some jobs that pay us well. Hopefully these connections are still active."
I nodded.
"I'll start by calling Eleanore first once we exit Mustafu. Hopefully she is still working within that Kanazawa."
"Ask her about Danzo and Lee too, they were great with weapons supplies, intel gathering, and support items for our quirks. We are going to be ready to take on this Doc bastard."

Even though we have our own strong quirks, we need support items and equipment to help us use our quirks to their fullest potential. Just like any normal pro hero or pro hero in training, they can request those agencies to help create it. However, they obviously keep track of all the orders so in case of investigation, they have the full information of the clients. For people like Yang, Kaori, and I; we have to get our stuff from a deep underground network that is practically untraceable. Giving us the upper hand against heroes and the police force as we did our jobs. However... that day when Alphonse was shot, it still bothers me that we haven't heard about his recovery. They did say he would need to do physical therapy to get the function of his arm. He did tell us he would call us soon when he is ready to come back.

"Yang. We need to go to Alphonse's place."
"Huh? You want us to go back?!"
"Yes, I am having a really bad feeling right now."
Yang didn't argue and turned the wheel to take us to Alphonse house.
"Wait... who's Alphonse?"
"Alphonse was an old partner of ours that was with us during a mission in California. The issue was he got shot several times and was left in a horribly critical state. He had to take some time to recover and go into therapy before coming back out with us."
Kaori was surprised to hear this, but was curious to meet him.

Something was off. We've been so busy working with the Doc that we never had some time to check up on Alphonse. However, he should have been well recovered by now. I can feel my heart sinking a bit as I was getting anxious if Alphonse was caught in the cross fire of last night's incident.

Once we finally arrived by the back of Alphonse house, we got down and walked straight in. Before calling out his name, I noticed that the door in the back was partially opened.
Looking back at Kaori and Yang. "Keep quiet and stay alert."
As we inched our way in, we walked in on a somewhat destroyed house.
"What the..."
Before we continued, Yang noticed something lying on the floor in the kitchen.

"Holy shit... Alphonse?!" As Yang ran to a beaten up Alphonse, Kaori and I followed to see the blonde haired vigilante injured as if he just survived a fight to the death.
"Alphonse! Hey Alphonse wake up!"
As Alphonse let out a painful groan as he was slowly coming back to his senses.

"Damn. I didn't expect to see you guys again... in the condition I'm in heh."
I let out a sigh of relief as Yang chuckled.
Alphonse's attention focused on Kaori.
"Is that the new kid you guys were talking about?"
I nodded. "Alphonse meet Kaori. Kaori, this is our old friend Alphonse." As I picked him up and let his arm rest on my shoulder. Yang helped out by clearing my the way.
Kaori was a bit quite but Alphonse broke the silence.
"Don't worry Kid, this isn't my first rodeo in a near death experience." As he chuckled through the pain. I quickly grabbed some makeshift first aid kit that Alphonse had in his kitchen.

As we made it to the car, Alphonse was surprised to see the car.
"Holy sh*t! This car looks nice! Who did you guys steal it from?"
"Some bank broker who was to careless with his drinking habits. Was too easy in fact."
Yang said as he loaded Alphonse onto the car. As Kaori and I got into the car, I took the back seat to help Alphonse with his injuries.

As the car took off to head north, Alphonse spoke up.
"So I have to ask, what made you guys come back for me?"
"Because we didn't want to leave you behind. Especially since we are planning to reunite the old squad." I responded as that shocked our Blonde haired partner.
"Wait! You mean we are going to get the old team back together?"
Yang butted in. "That's if they are still around. Hopefully they are also still willing to help us out. Though, besides getting some more jobs to grab some cash, the real goal is going against the doctor."

"The Doctor? Wait you guys are going to fight the doctor dude? The one that gave you guys those jobs?"
"Yeah that same job that nearly got us all killed!"
"Wait what are you guys serious? Was the whole monster attack all part of the Doc's plan??"

We stayed quiet. It just boiled up our blood just remembering that we were sent on a suicide mission for the Doctor's own test subjects. Just from our silence alone, Alphonse knew what was happening.
"Well whatever this plan is that you guys are working on... I'm in."
Once his wounds were patched up, I decided to start calling up Eleanore.

After a few rings I heard her voice.
"Thank you for calling, Helen's Nail Salon. We are currently booked for-"
"Chimera Rules The Night."
It was silent for a moment and then a chuckle could be heard.
"And here I thought you would have been killed by now, Hajime."
"Glad to see you haven't forgotten about me, Eleanore."
"So what has you crawling out of the dark to have you calling me?"
"You seen the news about the monster attack?"
"Of course... it was something straight out of a horror film, but why do you ask about it?"
"Well unfortunately... we were involved with that."

Another awkward silence.
"Hajime... what the f**k have you been up to?! Are you insane?"
"I know it's crazy but it wasn't our idea. We got aquatinted with a crazy doctor guy who promised us a job and help us make extra money. Though, the monsters you saw, were created and mutated by a quirk enhancing drug."
"Quirk Enhancing Drug? Don't tell me you believe that such a thing really exists."
"I wouldn't lie about something like this... especially to you."
Eleanore sighed. "Well you always had a sweet spot for me. Though, I have to cut this call short. Meeting up at the same place as usual?"
"Yeah... that would be nice."
"I'll see you soon, Sparky."

As the call ended, I couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed.
Alphonse heard the call because he started chuckling.
"Awww Sparky. Such a cute name."
That's when suddenly Yang and Kaori bursted out laughing.
"She still calls you Sparky?!"
As Yang was visibly tearing up from laughing.
I was ready to snap... but I just held back because... in the mist of all this madness... I just wanted to have everyone smiling again.

Slowly but surely...

We are going to rebuild all that has been lost.
