A/N: So I just realized that this chapter was 6k words long..... holy crap. So I cut half of it and will move it as part 2 of this chapter. Since I know this must be one hell of a story to read haha. Anyways ENJOY!!

"Time to wake up, Young hero! Today is the day!" As the All Might Alarm clock rang and played his theme song.
As I was waking up from what felt like the best sleep of my life only to wake up to All Might's voice.

"Ughhhhhh... let me sleep All Might." I groaned exhaustedly, trying to turning off the alarm clock. I just remained in bed sulking in my sadness of a good sleep coming to an end until I heard a knock on my door. As the door opened It was Uncle Aizawa who... once again I can't tell if he is visibly tired or just normal.

"Good. You're awake. Now (Y/N) it's time to start training." He said standing at the doorway waiting for my response.
"Actually Uncle... Mirio, Tamaki, Nejire, and I were actually going to go to the training grounds today to practice our quirks and I wanted to ask if you could come to watch us? You know since you're a teacher at UA and all." Chuckling a bit to try and lighten up the mood.
"You know today is Saturday right? The training grounds are off-limits on weekends." He said in his usual monotone of voice. I actually didn't know they were off-limits since we are students of the school.

"That's why I was asking you if you can join us there. Would that be alright?" I asked curiously trying to pretend that I knew about it. Uncle really didn't look all too interested but then again... That's how his facial expression always looked like. As he let out a huge sigh he responded: "Next time let me know in advance... I'm going to give Principal Nezu a call to see if it's alright." As he pulled out his phone and walked away. "While I'm doing this, (Y/N) start getting ready." As I got up and started getting dressed I heard my phone ring. It was a text notification from Mirio.

[Open Chat]

Mirio: "Good Morning (Y/N)! I'm on my way to the training grounds now with Tamaki. When you get the chance, stop by Nejire's and take her with you. Don't take too long! haha, see you soon bro!

You: "Good Morning Mirio I'll get Nejire on my way there. Oh hey, by the way, I think Aizawa might join us for our training if that's alright?"

Mirio: "Mr. Aizawa Sensei is coming too?! Oh, man! We are going to really have to be ready to go all out! Regardless I don't see it as a problem, but don't forget us ok!"

You: "You got it, bro!

[End of Chat]

After that message, I closed my phone and finished getting ready. Once I was done, Uncle Aizawa came back to the room and said: "Nezu said it was fine, so long as I was there, but I'll be meet you there shortly, I'm going to the pharmacy to get your mother some medicine. It seems like she got a fever overnight, so try not to be too worn out before I get there. I would like to see how you'll fair off with those three." He said as he started heading downstairs. I took a deep breath and started thinking about what this day will bring. "How strong are these three? What should look out for? How far behind or ahead am I in terms of skills?" As I made my way downstairs, I saw my mom on the couch laying down with what looks like a pretty bad fever as she was covered up in a blanket.

"Oh hey, honey... where are you heading off to?" Asking as my mom noticed I was wearing my gym clothes.
"I'm going to meet up with my friends to train and improve my quirk. I have to keep getting better with my quirk." Replying back with a big smile on my face.
"Oh, that's going to be great, sweetie! Do your best and don't forget about Mr. Aizawa's training. He worked really hard these few years to help you get ready for the exams so show your friends what you are all about! I believe in you!" She said as she weakly raised her fist into the air.
I walked up to my mom to give her a hug. As I kissed her forehead and said: "Feel better mom, I love you."
"I love you too, now before you go, I made you some pancakes for breakfast. You can't kick butt on an empty stomach."
I looked at the table and saw a delicious plate of pancakes just waiting for me.
"Woah! They look so good!" I could feel my mouth watering up at the delicious sight of fluffy buttermilk pancakes. That I just felt my body gravitate towards the food and just start devouring it.

"Oh! While you're at it, invite them over for dinner because I'm cooking chicken tonight. I would love to meet them!" She asked still holding her wonderful smile. As I shot her a thumbs up and said: "I will definitely do that! You make the best chicken ever so I can imagine that they will love it!" As I finished eating my food, I washed up and headed out the door. Since I don't know where Nejire lives, I decided to give her a call.

"Good moooooooorning!" Nejire's excited voice rang out from the other side of my phone.
"Good morning to you as well! Hey listen, Mirio told me to come by and pick you up so we can walk together."
Nejire started chuckling. "Mirio wanted you to pick me up? I guess he wants you to be my escort. Well I'm roughly 15 minutes away from UA. I live by Akebono, the Mochi shop."
"Oh that's only a 10-minute walk from my house!"
"Oh really? Sweet! Well, meet me by the Akebono then. I'll see you soon!"
As we both hung up, I decided to make my way to the Akebono.

The walk to the Mochi shop wasn't too bad since there are barely any traffic stops I have to cross so it made it all the easier to get there without any delay. I just popped my headphones in and continued walking to the shop. The morning looked very relaxing, the weather was warm and breezy with the sounds of cars passing by with pedestrians chatting as I walked passed them. I can't believe today is going to be the day I get to spar with my friends. Mainly because we haven't had the chance to test our skills against one another and I'm not even sure what their skill levels are at. Regardless of that, I'm going to use all of Uncle Aizawa's training to help win!

Upon arrival, I saw Nejire in her UA PE uniform shirt with some black shorts. Before I could even say anything, it was like she felt my presence because suddenly I hear her yelling: "Hey (Y/N)! Looks like you finally made it!" In her hand, she had a strawberry Mochi that she was munching done on happily.
"Hey, Nejire! You look like you were really hungry huh?"
"Mhm! I wanted to get some food in my system before taking you guys on."
"Sounds good to me! I better see you bring your A-game!"
"Oh, you betcha! I'll make sure you boys know I'm super strong!" As Nejire was doing some action figure hand motions, I couldn't help but laugh a bit as we started making our way to the school's training grounds.

Once we finally reached the training fields we saw Mirio and Tamaki stretching and getting warmed up. As I waved at them, Mirio got excited and ran up to both of us with a huge smile on their faces.
"You guys made it! We just finished warming up so now you two need to get prepped before the fight. We can't have too many injuries so Tamaki and I will go up first." Mirio said as he started stretching a bit.
"Sounds like a plan, now don't go too hard. I don't want my victory to be because you were tired." Laughing as I patted Mirio's back.
Mirio was laughing, but then started thinking for a moment. I turned to Tamaki: "You know on second thought... Hey, Tamaki, you mind if I fight (Y/N) first?"
"I've been wanting to see this for a while so go for it." As Tamaki headed to the bench to sit and observe the fight.
"Let's get you all stretched up first before you start (Y/N)! That way you can be ready to go all out!" Nejire as she started patting my head, making me feel a bit embarrassed for a moment.
"Alright Let's do it!" With a big grin on my face.

As Nejire and I were stretching and warming up, Mirio was talking about how the UA exams' written portion will revolve around rescuing and saving procedures, however, the physical exam can be something entirely different from what you are all used to. It got me all fired up just to train harder to pass them all and be on top! Once we were done, we made our way to the field as we had a staredown just being a few meters apart. "Alright first fight of the day! Mirio Togata Vs (Y/N) (L/N)!..." As Nejire's hands were raised waiting to start the fight, Mirio and I got in our fighting stances... the silence grew heavier and the intensity of each of our eyes grew with supremacy as we knew only one will win. "... Begin!" as she dropped her hand down, signaling the start of the fight.

I ran straight to Mirio at full speed ready to strike at him while Mirio was just standing still until suddenly... his clothes started falling off?! This caused me to stop dead in my tracks shielding my eyes.
"Gah! Dude! Your clothes! What happened to your-!" I was cut off as I felt his fist smack me straight into the gut sending me flying back rolling onto the ground. A small click went off.
"Careful (Y/N) don't let your guard down so easy! I'll end it faster than I would like to." Mirio said as he was putting his pants back on feeling a bit embarrassed.

Narrator: "Mirio Togata! Quirk: Permeation! Mirio's Quirk allows him to become intangible, letting him travel through solid walls and the ground while letting enemy attacks slip through him as well!"

I pulled myself up as I brushed the dirt off me. After a bit of waiting, I rushed towards Mirio again. As his clothes fall off again I aimed my focus on his body to visualize his movements to predict any counter-attacks. As I threw my punch at him... my fist went right through him, leaving me right behind him.
"Heads up!" As he yelled out loud, but before I could turn around to react he threw a roundhouse kick that connected with my rib, pushing me back a bit. I could feel my quirk kicking in, this time my eyes changed from brown to purple, to 10% of my power. As soon as I felt the additional boost of strength, I threw a punch at Mirio, catching him off guard. Now I felt like we were on even footing and I'll do what I must to win! No matter the cost!

*Meanwhile with Nejire and Tamaki*

"(Y/N) isn't putting up much of a fight... He's being overwhelmed Mirio at this point." He said with a disappointed tone in his voice.
"I don't think you are seeing the big picture. (Y/N) is letting Togata hit him on purpose. Haven't you noticed how different (Y/N) is reacting now after several punches?" Nejire said pointing out the changes in (Y/N)'s sudden improvement.
"I mean it just looks like he is adapting to his fighting still, but he is still getting overwhelmed with Mirio's punches. I-I'm not sure what I'm supposed to look at Hado." Tamaki feeling more confused.
"Take a closer look." She said pointing at (Y/N).  As Tamaki looks closer, he noticed the sudden change of eye colors from brown to purple then out of nowhere it changed to blue. This shocked Tamaki making him glance over at Nejire. She was smiling and in a low tone of voice, she whispered: "You got this (Y/N)... I know you got a plan against Mirio. Especially after what we talked about along the way." As her hands closed in a fist and smiled.

*Back to You and Mirio*              

After a barrage of strikes from Mirio, I was struggling to get up for a moment. Mirio chuckled a bit as he said: "Come on, are you all talk and no action? Where's that spunk you had in the chats? It seems like I was overestimating you. I am actually disappointed (Y/N) because I thought you were going to bring your A-game." Letting out a sigh of disappointment. As I got up, several crackling sounds go off, as I began laughing menacingly.
"Mirio, that was a lot of fun! Now I know how strong you really are which is why now..." Suddenly I felt my eyes go from blue to green which caught Mirio by surprise as he took a step back. It was finally time to let my work shine!
"... Now it's my turn!" I yelled out, activating my quirk that generated a green aura; covering my eyes, arms, and legs. Within a blink of an eye, I dashed towards Mirio, catching him off guard, as I slammed a kick into the left side of his gut, sending him flying. Tamaki and Nejire were shocked at the sudden speed I created.

"Limit Breaker - 30%! Let's get this fight started!"

Narrator: "(Y/N) (L/N)! Quirk: Retaliation! (Y/N)'s quirk allows him to take all the pain and injuries received in any battle or scenario to boost his strength, speed, endurance, and stamina all by the certain percentage he is in which can be noticed by the sudden change in eye colors!"

As we both ran towards each other,  I leaped forward into the air, ready to make contact with a quick punch, but Mirio phased through my attack again. However, as I was about to land, I slammed my hand on to the ground, doing a 180 spin and landed on my feet. "He is going to phase through my attacks over and over again, I'll have to find a way to counter him." As I stopped my train of thought, I noticed that only Mirio's shirt fell off, but not his pants so that means... his quirk isn't activated on his legs!
"There's my opening!" The moment I felt my feet touch the ground, I jolted right to his legs and kicked them, sending Mirio falling over, allowing me to follow up with a punch to his gut.

"Crap!" As Mirio flew backward, rolling on his back. Once he stopped he quickly recovered back up: "Damn! That's some quick thinking there (Y/N), but it's not over yet!" He yelled as he bolted straight towards me. As I saw him run towards me yelling: " Give me all you got!" I responded, "With pleasure!" As I ran towards him continuing our battle. It was a continuous onslaught between Mirio and I. So many punches and kicks being thrown left and right as we were both left bruised with scratches across our faces. As we were breathing heavily facing each other we both cocked our fists back and charged towards each other with every last bit of stamina in our system.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!"

While our battle cries exploded in sync, growing louder and louder as we got closer. Running towards each other again, we winded up our fists, propelling them right at each other's faces. The moment we were about to make contact, I felt my surge of energy just... vanish into thin air. As our fist collided with each other's faces, we both stood against each other in a stalemate.

"That's enough... both of you."

That voice... it was...

"Mr. Aizawa Sensei!?" Nejire and Tamaki yelled out when my Uncle showed up. His hair was flowing upwards and his eyes glow red causing both my quirk and Mirio's quirk to be erased.

Narrator: "Shota Aizawa! Quirk: Erasure! Shota's Quirk gives him the ability to nullify anyone's Quirk by looking at them. However, if he blinks or looks away then the quirk stops affecting its targets."

"Both of you need to take it easy... You are training to fight not to kill each other. As for you (Y/N)... I told you not to stockpile so much power like that! You know what happens when you store up so much power after taking so many hits like that don't you?" Aizawa stated as he glared at me with disappointment.
As if it was on cue, I felt my entire body just imploding in pain.
"AAHHHHHHHH!!" I scream out as I collapsed gripping my stomach and face. I curled up with an immense amount of pain circulating through my body. Mirio and the others came rushing to me to trying to help me. "(Y/N)! What's wrong?! What happened?!" Mirio frantically asking as he crouched down putting his arm on my back.
"Hold still! Curling up and squirming around like that is only going to make it worse!" As Nejire tried holding me down to keep me still. Her worries were only getting more and more intense by the second.
"Buddy we got you just calm down! W-what's going on with him Professor Aizawa?!" Tamaki asked while trying to hold my head as his anxiety was acting up instantly.

The pain felt like being stabbed by 100 knives and being brutally smashed by 20 baseball bats while having 15 people continuously kick me with steel-toed shoes right into the stomach. It was unbearable for any person to withstand, but after all, this is the drawback of my Retaliation quirk.
With a sigh of discomfort, Aizawa starts to speak. "This is what happens when you go all out using your quirk. That's why I always trained you to never unleash it all at once. The pain from all the hits you take can easily knock you out into a coma if you're not careful!" He exclaimed with a disappointed tone of voice.
Nejire looked up at Aizawa and asked: "To release it all at once? Do you mean all that energy he uses can cause him to get hurt?"
Aizawa looked at Nejire as he nodded: "In a sense. You see, he is currently feeling all the pain from Mirio's attacks, given that he hit his 30% mark from his green aura you saw from before, is pretty much a multiplier to the repercussions he takes back. Any average human would easily have broken all of their bones, muscles, and even damaging their internal organs in the process. What you are all witnessing is the drawback of his quirk when used fully at its current power level."

"H-how long does he feel the pain for?" She asked in concern as she was holding on to me trying to comfort me.
"Usually it only lasts a few minutes, but really tends to depend on how long he stays in his transformation. His drawback is that once he turns the energy he absorbed into power to fight with, every place he was previously hit will spike up with pain by the given multiplier lasting the duration he ends up using it. Luckily he only held up 30%  for a short amount of time because any longer than that could potentially break his bones or rupture his muscles. At least I hope he doesn't get to that point." He stopped for a moment to glance at me before continuing: "From time and time again I always tried to show him how to properly release the energy without damaging his body, but even then he gets carried away with his pride and determination to win. That's why he is in a lot of pain now for being such a stubborn child. Hard-headed like your father..." As he looked up at the other three. "I would give him some time to rest. It won't be long before he is back to normal." As he helped me up and took me to the benches to lay down.

The three were left in shock and followed Aizawa to the bench. Nejire sat next to me and put my head on her lap. While I was recovering, all my friends were just next to me checking how I'm feeling. "You have to take it easy on yourself, (Y/N)." Nejire said in a stern tone of voice.
I started groaning from the pain when I was finally done dealing with my drawback. Uncle didn't seem all too impressed... or happy. Actually I have no idea what he is thinking about or feeling since he rarely ever shows any emotion. "You've got to stop overusing your quirk, (Y/N). If you keep doing this, You'll never last long in battle." I didn't say much, but I know he is right. It's hard to normally control my levels of power when I reach it because the moment I reach a certain threshold, I can only really ever use that percentage of power. I have yet to learn any other way to manage it all. I didn't want to keep talking about it so I decided to change the topic.

"Oh! Hey guys, how about all 3 of you come over my house tonight? My mom is cooking some chicken and I can tell you that it's the best chicken you'll ever eat! Right, Uncle?" As I look at him waiting for his response. He simply murmured: "Yes... it is delicious..." he said looking away, but I knew he is a lot happier inside than outside. Mirio was quick to jump up with excitement: "Oh sweet! We finished a great fight, then now we get to meet your mom AND have some food! Today is awesome!" Tamaki smiled at Mirio's pure joy as he stood up: "Any day with food included is always a great day, so I will gladly accept the invitation." Mirio chimed into his response: "No doubt! You can count me in!" As Mirio started messing with Tamaki's hair. The positive vibes that kept emanating of these two were definitely contagious because I could help but laugh a bit and smile. It was like my pain just went away at that very moment. "Oh, I'm so excited! I can't wait for tonight." As Nejire joined in on all of the excitement.
"Then it's settled! We meet up at my house at 7 pm. See you all there!" Mirio, Nejire, Tamaki happily cheered: "All right!" I was actually nervous about having friends come over... in fact... I never had friends come over to the house, especially since that house belonged to Aizawa. I was actually shocked that Uncle was ok with them coming over, but I guess he actually likes them so that's a plus. I just hope my mom doesn't embarrass me.
