Recognize: Batman 01," The zeta tube announced the Dark Knights arrival.

"I'm glad you are here, but unfortunately, he is gone," Kaldur spoke," He escaped as soon as he realized that I was contacting you."

"He claimed that he was your sidekick." Artemis added.

"Well, I can assure you, that he is not my sidekick," Batman replied,"Now, how exactly did this boy look?"

Superboy answered," He looked to be about 13, and he was wearing a black cape, a black mask, and his uniform was mostly red."

"Did he have a small R on the top left portion of his chest?"

"Yes, do you know who he is?" Batman nodded.

"He goes by the name Robin. He is a thief that lives within Gotham City. Recently he had been following me around lately and he hasn't seen to have done anything too bad, but I get the feeling that he's up to no good. His fighting skills are skills that would be used if someone had the aim to kill."

Kid Flash's eyes widened,"He's a criminal and he now knows his way into the Mountain?"

"You shouldn't be too worried, he doesn't seem to pose much of a threat. Though, we cannot allow for him to discover your identities,"Batman said," Is there anything else he said that might have revealed something about him?"

"No, he just said the he was your sidekick."

M'gann paused before responding," Well... I don't know if this will be much, but Wally had mentioned Wonder Woman's name and Robin seemed to get very confused. Almost as if he had never heard of Wonder Woman."

Batman nodded," He seemed to have the same expression when he met me. He seemed to find it strange that there were heroes at all."

"Perhaps where he lives, or used to live, there is no word no heroes." Kaldur suggested.

"But you think he still would have heard of the Justice League. The whole hero thing seemed to be a completely new concept to him." The team agreed with him," So, if he is ever to appear here again I need you to report to me immediately without notifying him of it. We need to discover more about this boy." They all nodded and then went their separate ways.

Robins face held a large grin as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop. He wasn't exactly sure what he was doing at the moment or why he wasn't resting in his little apartment room, but he didn't care. He had just met a team of crime fighting teens which he didn't even know existed. The Court had kept him away from anything that would influence his decisions in a bad way (well, good way, but to the Court of Owls it was bad). So, he didn't know there were people risking their lives to save others.

And then there was that green girl. What was that about? Was she even human? Robin laughed to himself. Of course she was human. What else would she be? Martian? She probably just went through something that changed her skin color, he thought.

Then Robin thoughts were disrupted as he saw a black figure moving from the side of his eye. His mind automatically went to that it was a Talon searching for him. He had been found. They were going to taken him back.... But when Robin turned around, he saw Batman. Robin never thought he could be so relived.

"Hello, Batsy." Robin grinned at his new nickname for the Dark Knight," What's up?"

"How did you get into Mount Justice?" He growled.

"Straight to the point kind of guy, huh?"

"How did you get in there?"

"Well, if you must know I entered the.... Zeam- Zel- Zet- Zeta! I entered the zeta tube."

"The zeta tube would never have allowed you to enter. You are unauthorized and not known within the League."

"Funny thing,"Robin chuckled," That's exactly what that weird voice said. I mean, we're buddies. How could I not be authorized?"

"Then how did you get in?"

"I just made it so I was authorized."

"You hacked into League databases?" Batman's eyes widened under his mask.

"I guess so." Robin shrugged. He had no idea what The League was, but it was the second time Batman had mentioned it that night.

"Where did you learn to hack?"

Robin didn't get the chance to reply because of the sudden sound of gunshots that could be heard going off nearby.

"Stay here."Batman quickly turned and began to run towards the noise, disappearing into the darkness.

     Of course Robin didn't listen and followed Batman. He wasn't very fond of the idea of waiting on a rooftop for Batman to return, and Batman could need help. And Dick was a very curious person. So, he went.

And to say that Robin was shocked whenever he saw a man with clown makeup on, was an understatement. The man had green hair, a purple suit, and he had painted his face white with a bright red smile. If Robin hadn't been trained by the Court, he would have been terrified right now.

Though he was distracted as he saw Batman fighting a woman. She had a gigantic hammer (which she was currently swinging at Batman), she wore a black and red jesters hat- her whole outfit seemed to be made just from the colors black and red. She seemed to not be the best shot because she just couldn't land a hit on Batman.

Though after her many attempts, her hammer swung towards his head and actually reached its target. Batman was sent flying across the room, eventually becoming unconscious.

The clown man then smiled as he saw that they had finally knocked him out and began walking towards Batman. Robin tensed as he realized that Batman was not waking up.

"Good job, Harls." He proceeded by pulling a gun out of his pocket and raising it to Batmans head.

Robin needed to do something. Batman was going to die. Robin had to do something, and quick. So, without actually coming up with a logical plan, Robin just ran towards the criminals, and he found himself right in front of Batman as soon as the trigger was pulled.

BAM!

Robin feel to the his knees as he felt the bullet pierce the left side of his stomach.

"Now what do we got here?" The clown man asked.

"What should we do with him, Mr. J.?"The woman spoke, but Robin was having a hard time understanding anything. He had been shot by a bullet countless number of times, but for some reason he was beginning to feel extremely dizzy and this bullet felt much more painful than any other he had experienced. He wasn't sure how much longer he could remain conscious.

Then there was a stirring next to him and Robin turned his head just enough to see that Batman was finally woken up.

And that's when Robin let himself pass out....

And that's this weeks update! I posted it a bit early since I'm going to be a bit busy tomorrow. So, here you go.

I'm having trouble searching for a cover that I would like to use for this book. Anyone have a suggestion where I can find one, or an easy way I could make one?
