[Sora's P.O.V.]

  "Hey you. Ya wanna battle?" I turn around to see a boy with light brown hair and dark brown eyes run up to me, clutching three Pokeballs.

  "Bring it." I start to laugh, already knowing how this battle was going to go down. I would use one, he would use three, and I would still destroy his team.

  "Go Kakuna!"

  "Go Lavana!"

  "A fire type...this is already a lost battle." The boy thought out loud, and Lavana was grinning at me.

  "Ember." Lavana shot several fireballs towards the cocoon like Pokemon, but it countered by shooting poison needles at the fireballs, causing them to explode on contact. Some of the needles broke through and hit Lavana, poisoning her.

  "Use Ember once more, but follow up with a Flame Wheel!" Lavana shoots fireballs just to have them blew up by poison needles, but she rolls into a fiery ball.

  SLAM!

  I look in happiness as the Kakuna is fainted on the ground, being returned by its trainer.

  "I don't wanna battle you anymore. You might want to prepare for the gym leader, Bugsy, because he has strong bug Pokemon." The little boy runs off to who knows where.

  "Cool battle." I turn around to see a boy with bright yellow eyes staring at me, and Gold is no where in sight.

  "I'm Riker. I've been traveling and am here for my second gym badge, as I suspect you are." He grins, and I nod my head. Something about him is strange.

  "Nice to meet you, Riker. I'm Sora Valdez, soon to be Champion of Johto! I might become a breeder too!" I chirp back, use an Antidote and Potion to heal Lavana so we can battle this gym leader.

  "Wanna go back to the Pokemon Center?" He asks, and now I know why he's so weird. He's nervous, I can tell by the tone of his voice.

  "Not right now, since I just healed Lavana, we can challenge the gym leader." I grin and run up to a big battlefield, where a boy with purple hair and a bug catcher outfit stands.

  "I am Bugsy, Azalea Town gym leader. I am a bug type trainer and I take it you're here to battle me?" I nod my head and he has a happy smile on his face as he grabs a Pokeball off his belt.

  "Metapod, you're up!" In a flash of white, what looks like a green cocoon stands, er...sits on his side of the field.

  "Trenton, you're up!" I do a twirl before sending out my adorable little Totodile, who grins as he sees the opponent.

  "Trenton, use Water Gun, then Metal Claw." He runs forward, following orders perfectly, first he hits the bug type with a rather weak Water Gun before slamming into it with metallic claws, raking them across its skin.

  "Metapod, you okay?" Bugsy asks his cocoon like Pokemon, but instead of a reply, it glows white and changes shape, getting larger and larger.

  "I've evolved! Yes! Now you're going down you little brat!" I can't help but laugh at what the Butterfree just called Trenton.

  "Bring it, bug eyes. I can take you down." Trenton charges forward, his claws glowing a metallic color as he slashes at the Butterfree once more, this time, actually knocking the poor bug type out.

  "Kakuna, your turn!" Bugsy lets out another cocoon like Pokemon, this time it's yellow instead of green.

  "Kakuna, use Poison Sting!" Poison needles fly at Trenton, but he slashed through them with Metal Claw and charges at the Kakuna, who keeps firing poisonous needles at us.

  Trenton makes contact, but so does Poison Sting, and now he's poisoned. Grr...

  "Trenton, use Ice Fang!" The Totodile charges once more, this time jumping to reach his target, his life slowly draining. He clamps down on the target but the poison gets him, and he faints.

  "Return, Trenton, you were amazing." I grin at his Pokeball before I prepare to send out my next Pokemon.

  "Go Void!" I send out my male Eevee, who on instinct, sends a Swift on the Kakuna. Poison needles break through the stars and the stars keep coming, slowly breaking though.

  "Kakuna, return...you were amazing." He seemed sad, until he realized he had one Pokemon left, and a huge grin spread across his face.

  "Go Scyther! Let's finish them!" Bugsy calls out, letting his Pokemon know it's now or never.

  "Void, use Quick Attack and follow up with Bite!" He charges at the Scyther, but doesn't ever make contact, instead he's swatted to the side by a Slash attack.

  "Void! Are you okay? Use Swift if you're okay!" Stars keep forming before there are almost a room full and shoot at the Scyther, hitting him all over.

  "Finish the Eevee, use Slash once more." Scyther breaks through and slashes at Void, who faints and flies into me.

  "Return buddy, you were amazing. You stood up to something so strong without fear. I'm proud of you." I return him before grabbing one more Pokemon. This is now or never.

  "Lavana, it's time to win this!" As she touches the ground, she immediately goes into a Flame Wheel.

  "Scyther no!" The Scyther is hit in the gut, and sent flying back, but gets right back up.

  "Let's finish this." Bugsy and I say in unison, pointing forward as we prepare a silent strategy in our heads.

  "Lavana, use Flame Wheel!"

  "Scyther, use Slash!"

  Both Pokemon charge forward, one cloaked in flames while the other has a glowing white claw. They keep flying towards each other before they make contact.

  An explosion happens outside and inside, though the one inside is caused by the battle, with Scyther fainting, and the outside is the unknown.

  "Return Scyther. Here's your badge and now I have to go check what that was!" Bugsy runs around like crazy, throwing a badge at me in the process and I put it in my badge case.

  "Come on, we need to check that out!" Riker grabs my arm and drags me outside, and I'm completely and utterly terrified at what I see.

  "The forest is on fire! Someone help us!" People start flooding in from the forest, which is up in flames.

  "Gold! Gold! Where are you?! GOLD!!!" I start freaking out, my only real friend over the past few days is missing, or possibly dead from a fire or explosion.

  "Sora! Sora! Where are you?! SORA!!!" Another voice yells, and I can quickly tell who it is, Gold.

  "C'mon Riker, let's go find Gold!" I grab my new friend and run towards the voice, hoping it was really him yelling for me.

  "Sora!" I'm tackled to the ground by Gold, who has a happy expression on his face.

  "Thank Arceus I found you! I'm so sorry I left, I had to run some errands." He nervously rubs the back of his neck.

  "Well I got my badge, so let's put out this fire." I quickly run to the Pokemon Center, healing my Pokemon, before running back out.

  "Trenton, we have to help put out that fire. Use Water Gun on everything you can." I watch in horror as I see a small Pokemon trapped.

  "Gold, I'll be back!" I take off running, Gold trying to stop me, and dive into the forest.

  "Help me! Someone help me! Where's mama and papa?!" A panicked little baby voice rings out, making me panic even more.

  "Follow my voice! I'm here to save you. I don't know where your mama or papa are but I'll try to get you to them." As soon as I see this, I'm tackled by a tiny green Pokemon, a Chikorita to be exact.

  Wrapping my arms around her, I run out of the forest, seeing two Meganium leading other grass type out of the burning forest.

  "Twila! Oh Arceus has returned my child!" The female Meganium runs to me, nuzzling me with her head, and I put the Chikorita in her vines, which she's using to hold her baby.

  "Mama! She saved me! She's my friend now." The Chikorita Cheops, nuzzling me happily.

  "You're okay now, cutie. I wasn't gonna let that fire hurt you." I coo in her ear, and she leaps out of her mother's vines and into my arms.

  "Thank you. Mama and I must go now. Bye bye." She walks off with the rest of the grass types into the now normal forest.

  I wonder what that explosion was, and how that fire started.

  Extra long chappie today!!! :) That shows that I love and appreciate all reads that I've received so far. This was around 1,500+ words. I hope you guys really enjoy this book so far. I know the battle scenes suck like really bad, but I hope I can get better at those.
