[Sora's P.O.V.]

  "How can I understand you two?" I ask them quietly, then another voice appears in my head.

  "Only time can tell, Guardian, only time can tell." A wise feminine voice says in my head, a strange feeling overwhelms me and I sink to my knees, clutching my head.

  "Sora!" Gold rushes to my side, steadying me as I slowly make my way to my feet.

  "Something is wrong." I whisper, clutching my throbbing head in pain, and slowly the feeling subsides.

  "C'mon Sora, let's not worry about it. We're in Violet City, and now it's time to challenge the gym!" Gold grins and starts dragging me to a large building with an orange roof.

  "I bet Falkner is gonna be surprised by my visit." Gold says casually as we walk out onto a high platform that has a bluenette boy with blue eyes standing across from us.

  "Gold, good to see you again. My team has improved, but I still have to use lower leveled Pokemon for beginners." He grins at me and sends out a Pidgey, challenge accepted.

  "C'mon Cyndaquil, let's show this guy who's boss!" I can feel the fire burning inside me, my want of battle increasing.

  "Start this off, Ember!" Cyndaquil's back flares up and she quickly fires many fire balls at the bird Pokemon, hitting it with the entire attack.

  "Pidgey, use Quick Attack!" The bird Pokemon, though damaged, shoots forward like a rocket, a white trail behind it as it rams itself into my fire type Pokemon.

  "Ember again! Try to avoid physical contact!" Cyndaquil starts to flare up again, only to have to jump to avoid a Peck attack. While in the air, Cyndaquil fires another barrage of fireballs at the Pidgey, rendering the poor little bird unconscious.

"Pidgey, you did good. Return." He returns the small bird and sends out another bird, which looks like Pidgey, but bigger and its head feathers resemble hair.

"Pidgeotto!" It caws, flying into the air. Cyndaquil looks back to me nodding her head.

"Let's do this, Sora! Time to show this bird brain!" I stifle a giggle at what she says, and Pidgeotto has an indignant look on its face.

"Bird brain?! I have a higher IQ than you ever will, you little rat!" Pidgeotto screeches, and Cyndaquil hits him in the wing with a fire ball, causing him to lose balance and fall.

"Cyndaquil, use Tackle!" Cyndaquil starts to run forward, but she jumps into a roll, turning into a flaming wheel. Flame Wheel hits its mark on the bird, making him become infuriated.

"Pidgeotto, use Quick Attack, then use the momentum to go straight into a Peck attack!" Pidgeotto rolls his eyes and dives forward, a white trail of energy behind him as he slams into Cyndaquil, who takes the opportunity to charge into a Flame Wheel from the sky.

"Hiya!" A cute little voice rings out in my head, but I shake it off and watch the round finish, Cyndaquil being unable to battle.

"Cyndaquil, return. You did amazing." I whisper words of encouragement to her as she gets sucked back into her Pokeball. In a flash of white, Totodile is on the field and ready to fight.

"Totodile, Water Gun!" Totodile shoots a blast of water from his mouth, hitting the bird, who thought the attack was weak, but was proved wrong.

"Pidgeotto use Wing Attack, finish that pipsqueak off!" Pidgeotto flies forward, white energy coating his wings, but as he goes to strike Totodile, he's hit with a blast of water and is rendered unconscious.

"This match goes to you, Sora. You are now a holder of the Zephyr Badge, proof that you defeated me." I happily take the blue, wing shaped badge from his open hand, clipping it to the inside of my badge case.

"Excuse me! Can't a couple Pokemon get a break around here?!" A frustrated girl's voice rings out in my head. Two Eevee prance up to me, both holding their heads high.

"Hiya! I'm Rosa!" The little Eevee chirps, hopping up on my shoulder, the other Eevee sits down, looking bored.

"Come on Rosa, leave this girl alone, you don't need to bother her." The male Eevee laughs and hops onto my other shoulder, nudging his friend.

"Void, you're such an overprotective brother, ya know that?" Rosa asks with a smirk and the other Eevee, Void, growls in frustration.

"You two are so cute!" I exclaim, hugging both of them in a death grip. Void struggles in my grip, but he eventually relaxes and Rosa just snuggles with me.

"So, do you two have a trainer? If not, I would love to have you on the team." I snap them out of it and Rosa cheers, hopping onto my head while Void just relaxes, slowly nodding his head.

"YAY!!! LETS GO!!!" Rosa yells and her and Void tap their heads on empty Pokeballs, allowing themselves to be captured.

"Woah, Sora! Why'd those Pokemon just prance up to you and let you catch them?" Gold asks, becoming very curious of the Eevees' behavior.

"I don't know myself. C'mon out Rosa and Void!" I let out my two new team members. Both pop out with huge grins on their faces, and soon enough I'm approached by a Kimono Girl.

"Why hello there!" She grins at me, "I hope you take good care of that egg. It's beautiful." She twirls and walks away, going towards Azalea City, south of Violet.

"Well, don't ya wanna get to Azalea Town today?" Gold asks, pulling out a Pokeball, a smirk on his face.

"Sure!" A giggle escapes my lips and Gold let's out an adorable Togekiss who grins happily at me. Gold climbs on and drags me on with him, a smirk still present on his face.

"From now on, we won't be walking as much. It takes up too much time and it will be easier." Gold pats the side of Togekiss's side, and it spreads its wings. With one flap, we are in the air and landing in Azalea Town.
