Chapter 12 - Garroth
I lay down on something soft, a bed maybe? Agony in my chest. What had happened? I looked up at the ceiling, my helmet was still on. What a surprise. Wait, now I remember I had taken the shot for Aphmau.
I attempted to get up, the pain in my chest getting worse as I did. I flopped back down, my armour making noise as I did.
"Ah, I see that you are awake," a person wearing a suit said. Making me slightly nervous as I had thought I was alone here. "The lovely young women who had worried about you went out somewhere. Talking about some person named Zenix who she had thought came to get me, although it was a lovely young lady with vibrant red hair." He started to blab on about who I assume is Kiki.
I couldn't help but think, Aphmau had worried about me. Of course she would, we're friends. Friends. That word, I knew it wasn't the correct one for what I was feeling about her, but it almost felt too early to think that about her. I pushed the thought aside for now.
"Do, do you know where she might've gone?" I asked, trying not to move too much since it would make me really uncomfortable.
"I would assume she went to Bright Port. Or maybe Meteli. Either one-" he once again started to blab on about the two villages.
I cut him off. "Where are you from?"
"Hm, oh, I'm a doctor from Bright Port."
I nodded, even that made me hurt. Just slightly more then I already did though. I close my eyes, hopping that this was maybe all just a dream I was having since sleeping on the couch wasn't all that good and I fell asleep during my shift. No, I knew better then to do that.
I sighed and let sleep take over me.
-----------------
I woke up when a rooster sung. My helmet had fallen off during my slumber, my blonde hair falling in front of my eyes. It had been awhile since I had seen it since my helmet had kept it out of my eyesight.
"So you're awake," I heard the same voice as yesterday (or assumed yesterday) say. "I stayed the night in case the girl who had been so worried about you asked about your condition."
I felt my heart sink, I wouldn't accept that I liked Aphmau that way though. Not yet at least. Not until I know Aphmau more.
"So she didn't come ask?" I asked, the words had been stuck in my throat for a bit though.
"Oh, no, no, no. She didn't return at all."
I widened my eyes and tried to get out of bed. Pain instantly shot through me to my chest and I winced. I felt whatever the doctor's name was softly push me back down to the bed, making sure he didn't push on my wound. If I was correct it shouldn't shot my heart, it had missed. Because if it hadn't I wouldn't be here.
Well, that would probably be two less problems gone for me. One, not marrying the daughter of Scaleswind, and two, trying not to die as a guard.
Heya guys! I'm back with inspiration! So I'll be making more chapters for my books. Heh, sorry for leaving for -what- two months. Maybe more. Heh, I'm a horrible Wattpad person. Anyways, I am back. And will be writing more!
Hope you guys enjoyed!
See ya!
