Owain, the unusual man, looked at Lucina with the same way as she and says "oh, thank the gods that you are here! Finally, a proud face among these demons. You will not believe what kind of horrid hospitality I am getting from these belligerent bumbling boneheads". "Owain, stop for a second and listen to me" Lucina told Owain "you can't go around yelling at guards for not letting you pass into a palace that they specifically said only dekus ca..." and she looks up, as if in deep thought. "...Only dekus can get into the palace! Owain! Didn't that guard say that a monkey was being punished in there?"

"The one that wooden weakling so stupidly compared me too. Yes, I believe so"

"And didn't he say that any deku can go in there?"

"I am pretty certain"

"Well, Link, get out the mask then"

Link looks at her confused.

"...What mask?" Link and Owain said in unison

"remember, the deku mask! The mask that guy from the clock tower gave us after I turned back to normal"

"Oh yeah, where did I put that"

Link rummaged through his belongings and pulled out the deku mask saying "found it!".

"Hmm, what is that strange mask!... And who are those two?" he said, pointing towards Link and Tatl. Lucina explained to Link and Tatl that Owain was her cousin, and described to Owain what had happened since the first time she stepped into clock town, meeting the great fairy, seeing the moon fall to the earth, but carefully taking out Morgan's death.

"Ah, so you have seen the moon's beckoning complection with your own eyes as well, for I saw the lunar body plummeting with each passing day, like the boar of fate charging in it's field of hellfire. But then, just before it could heed the earth's untouched vulnerability, everything suddenly eclipsed in a white shadow. As if the goddess Naga herself was assisting the world with the blessing of added time. I noticed that all things returned to their original states and I, like the crisp clean mist in the winds of time, disappeared in the minds of all inhabitants of this wretched domain. I discovered that my quest to end the moon's unending vengeance has reversed back to square one, but this allowed me to start anew! I took this new opportunity to find Mystletainn, the blade that can only be held by my twitching sword hand alone! A blade who has healed nations and hurt enemies of it's owner! A..." .

Owain tried to continue, but is harshly interrupted by Tatl. "hey, dude, do you EVER shut up!" she blurted out rudely. Lucina looked at her with a face that said "you really had to say that out loud!" .They both shared a long, hard stare with stern expressions on their faces for several seconds until Link got in between them. "Okay, guys. We have a lot to talk about, but right now, we need a way into the palace. Okay, Lucina, put on the deku mask!" He said, throwing the mask to her. "What, no you wear it" Lucina objected. After awhile of squabbling, Link agreed to put it on. After putting it on, he felt a massive surge of strangled pain, he eventually took his own deku form. "Alright, here's the plan: Me and Tatl will go into the palace and try to figure this mess out. Lucina and Owain, you two find another way into the palace and , when I give the signal, you charge into the main room where the king will most likely be and cause a diversion. Then, Me and Tatl will try and free the monkey so we can get that taken care of". They all looked at each other then nodded in agreement. Then split up to begin the rescue mission.

(this is Link and Tatl part, and is happening during Lucina and Owain's part, so keep that in mind)

Link walked over to the lone deku scrub guard and whispered "uh,excuse me?". "THIS BETTER NOT BE THE SAME GUY..." he bursted out yelling, but stopped when he saw Link. "...Oh, finally, a fellow deku. This is the Deku palace, I cannot allow you to get a tour of the palace yard,but you can go into the royal chambers to see the humiliation of the foolish monkey who insulted our kind" and he turned around to allow Link past, "the royal grand hall is directly in front of you, do not go to any other areas whatsoever" and he disappears into a plant similar to the flower Lucina used in Clock Town. Link and Tatl went past two passages and soon made it to the darkened entrance at the far end of the outdoor hallway. Inside the room ahead, they saw a large fire burning in the center, on the far edge of the room was a deku scrub almost the size of an average adult human. He seemed to be so huge due to a big headpiece the size of the big octo from before. He was stranded on a large stage, where many smaller deku scrubs were dancing around him. Link walked up to this grand deku and asked "uh, excuse me, but who are you?"

"Who am I?" the deku bellows

"I am Kikorai, the deku king. Normally, I would not allow the likes of you into my royal chambers, but today is an exception! today we punish the idiotic monkey who kidnapped my daughter, the princess! He has made a fool of me and the royal family! We will show him what happens when he does that. If you wish to see his foolish face for yourself, we have him tied in the cage to your left." Kikorai finishes .

Link and Tatl turn around to find a monkey similar to the one from the dock bound to a log post that was behind a grass and wood caged fence. As Link got closer to the cage, the monkey started squirming in his spot wildly, causing Link to jump back. "Please, you have to listen to me. They keep saying that I kidnapped the princess, but no matter how many times they say it, it's never going to bring her back. If we don't do something soon... something terrible might happen!" he shouts to Link. Link also noticed that their was a small hole protruding from inside the cage. That has to come from somewhere, I'll find the way into there and then give the signal he thought as he left the palace. In the outdoor hallway, the monkey from the docks was waiting for him to give him a message. "You saw my brother, yes? In bad state, yes?" the monkey started "saw entry into cage he was in, right? Me and brother know way to entrance, but it very high up. Need magic bean sprout. You can buy beans like this from bean seller to the left of palace. I'm counting on you to help my brother!" and with the message given, the monkey runs off once more. After Link carefully crossed the river, got a magic bean from a man underneath the palace, and used it's power to grow a giant leaf that sent him up towards a ledge that lead straight to the royal garden. He snuck past several guards, flew across the garden via. pink and green flowers, and soon made it to the entrance he found to the cage. When he got in there he took off the mask and returned to his human form. He went up to the tied monkey who said "Whoa! How did you get in here!? If those guards see you, they'll throw you out for sure! Look, I was trying to figure out why the swamps have been acting strange lately, when I found the princess get kidnapped by a horrible monster! You have to help me, get this rope cut for me, please.". Link tried to reach the rope with his Kokiri sword, but he was to short to cut them, and merely hit the log the monkey was attached to. "Oh, it's no use." the monkey said disappointed, " If you can't free me, do you at least have an instrument, a loud one that can carry sound over long distances?". Link thought for a while.

All I have is the ocarina of time...

But even that isn't very loud...

Hang on... what about when Lucina was a deku scrub, her sword... Falchion, was it, it was a bow.

...I wonder. Then Link put on the deku mask again. In his deku form, he pulled out his ocarina, which wasn't an ocarina anymore. It was a set of massive wooden pipes, similar to tuba horns. They seem to be spouting from Link's tubed mouth. The monkey gasped, "yes, that's it. They are just like the princess's... deku pipes!" he exclaimed. "Okay, I wanted to help her personally, but I've ran out of options. You will have to go to the woodfall temple in my place!... oh but one thing... who are you?". Then Link, not used to having a heavy instrument on a tiny body, he fell over from his burden. Kikorai and his men stared at the two beings in the cage. "Okay, look, we are out of time!" the monkey said "I am going to teach you the song the princess taught me, she said it opens the temple that is the cause of all of this chaos, I'll have to whisper it to you" he finished as he quietly sang a short song. Link then played the song with the deku pipes, which causes the entire room to go silent shortly afterwards...

(this is Lucina and Owain's part in this section, just so you know)

Lucina and Owain tried to carefully cross the moat around the palace and made it to a small courtyard outside the fortress walls. Owain sat their on a small stump with a puzzled look on his face. "What?" Lucina asked curiously.

"Why are we here?" he responded.

"Look, I'm not sure about that"

"Do you think Naga sent us to the wrong time and place?"

"I had that same thought, actually. But a goddess like Naga wouldn't have done this without a reason"

"It's like she wanted us to be here"

"...Like she wanted us to keep the moon from falling on this land..."

"...Like she knew this place would end if we were not here..."

"...Nah!" they said in unison, then laugh.

"You know, I missed you Lucina" Owain says thoughtfully

"Thanks, Owain. It's kind of hard to have a family reunion with the fell dragon's followers breathing down our necks" Lucina added, and they laugh once more. "But seriously, Owain, we have to find a way into the palace"

Owain looked around then said "does that look like a secret entrance, or is it just me?"

and pointed to a small indent in the wall which appeared to have a secret corridor in it. Lucina saw the indent then said "Owain, you're a genius!". "Well, I dabble" he answered jokingly. They look up at the indent, then Owain cupped his hands and Lucina used them to lift herself onto the platform. She then held out her hand and Owain used it to climb up the wall. Upon getting onto the platform, the two find a large garden sprawled out underneath them. There were several towers with deku scrubs atop them keeping watch from above. Lucina then motion for Owain and he threw one of his assassin daggers at the closest deku scrub, killing it on contact. They carefully jumped onto the tower, got the dagger back, and kept doing this for many more towers. Eventually, they found a large hole near the center of the palace. "Should we go ahead?" Owain asked Lucina. "Link said to wait for a signal" she retorted. Then, the two heard the strangest thing. It sounded like a very loud trumpet playing a small ditty. Lucina and Owain looked at each other confused...

"Did you hear that!" Kokirai yelled from his throne "it is the song passed down from generations. A song only the deku royal family knows... That is proof of the monkey's attempt to get the princess to open the temple for him. GUARDS! SOLDIERS! REMOVE THIS DEKU AND LET THE MONKEY'S PUNISHMENT COMMENCE!!!". "guess that's the signal" Lucina said, then she and Owain jumped down from their perch above the grand hall.
