Afterwards, the mask salesman looks at each of them and says "I believe you guys might need something to get you going." and he picks up the mask on the floor. It looked like a deku scrub, but not like when Marth was one. It had simple, yellow eyes, and a large tube-like mouth. They look at the man strangely. "Believe me when I say this, but when either one of you put on that mask, you will return to that state Marth was currently in. However, you can now take it off and return to normal." he assures them. "Okay, I guess we could bring it with us" Marth said. "Oh, good. I know you could find use for it!" the man said. Then, the three leave the room and go back to Clock Town, but before they do, the mask salesman says "Oh, and Marth... I know who you really are" and he winks at her, then waves goodbye. "Hey, remember that thing that Tael was talking about, 'the four that are there' ... But what does that mean! Oh, Tael,he always forgets to mention important stuff like that." Tatl says. "Well, he also mention a swamp, a mountain, a canyon, and an ocean were where they were... apparently." Marth said to them, "any idea on if their is one of those around here". "...There is a swamp to the north of here, just past that entrance over there" Tatl says, pointing to an entrance directly in front of them that was guarded by what looked like a soldier or town officer. They approach the exit, but the guard blocks their way. "You two, do you have any errand in the swamp?" the guard says accusative "because it is very dangerous outside these walls, and I can't allow kids like you to leave without an ad...". The guard then notices that Link and Marth are both carrying weapons. "...A sword?" the guard asks, then gets out of his defensive pose, "my apologies, it was the wrong of me to treat you like children. The southern swamps of Woodfall lie ahead...be careful" he warns, and the trio continue on their way. They exit Clock town for the first time to see that it is in the smack middle of a field that is ten times bigger than it. "okay, while we have a moment alone... Marth, we need to talk." Link says to her. Marth looks at link curiously and says "...about what?" . "About who 'you really are' , you didn't think I was paying attention when he said that, didn't you" Link reports. "...Okay, since I don't need to keep any secrets from you, I might as well say it." Marth answered.

"My name is really Lucina, and I am really supposed to be the current leader of a country called Ylisse. However, my world was destroyed by the fell dragon, Grima."

"Oh, is that all!...is there anything else you haven't told us" Tatl says sarcastically

"Well, I also came here from the future to make sure Grima isn't resurrected."

"... well, that explains a lot." Link says

"Also,do you see this?" Marth, who is actually Lucina, pointed to her left eye. The one with the mark in it.

"Uh, yeah, pretty clearly" Link answered

"This is the brand of the exalt. It's a special symbol representing that I am a member of the Ylissean royal family."

"Wait?...so you're saying you're a... a princess?" Tatl asks surprised "...So that's why you freaked out when I said that... Well you sure don't look like a princess"

"Well, Ylisse had different ideas of what a princess is, but yes, I am" Lucina said, with a slightly annoyed tone

"Oh, I'm so sorry about everything I have ever done to you, your majesty." Tatl says, bowing in her spot. Lucina looks at her weirdly.

"First off, don't call me your 'majesty'. And second, I don't care much for the royalty business, I just want to avenge my father" Lucina said to both of them, holding onto the handle of Falchion, which was sheathed. Link was about to ask about her father but decides otherwise. Lucina saw the worry in link's face and said

"my father's name is Chrom. He was the true ruler of Ylisse until he died. But he wasn't a leader to me, he was my dad. Remember how I said that I came from the future to prevent it's destruction? Well, I also wanted to change my father's fate, which right now seems like a selfish act in my part" She said ashamed. "Come on, don't beat yourself up like this. I mean, look at me, I don't even remember my old man!" Tatl said cheerily. Well, that makes two of us Link thought, remembering before he went on his world-saving quest in hyrule. His dying mother gave him to the Kokiri tribe as a baby. There, the deku tree had the never-aging, child-like Kokiri accept him as one of their own, and several years after that, he almost believed them. That was until the deku tree sprout told him how he ended up in the forest and that he was really a hylian. As link continued thinking, he heard Lucina yell "Look! Over there!" pointing at something in the distance.
