Part Two
*Good morning or afternoon to you all, here is Part Two out of three, hope you enjoy. See you on Hallowe'en for Part Three!*
The lone teen stood in his Gryffindor tower, his tower, looking out over the grounds as the sun beat down for the sixth day. All is peaceful now as no shadows can leave the forest, where nightmares live. He has a few more minutes when the sun starts to set Harry looked back at his desk seeing his large book of memories sitting open. The past couple of days he has been trying to figure out a way to get out of his head and banish the demon, but no luck so far. Jumping in his chair as he heard the bells chimes, its Sundown. Harry quickly set to work lighting all the torches and fireplaces and candles to shine light in the room. He wasn't running this time there was no way to fend him off. Standing surrounded by the flickering candles and torches Harry saw the shadows seep through the corners. After all there isn't a way to ward off every shadow.
Late into the night the matron and a younger gentleman sat in conjured chairs, "I have looked in most of the library, Irma is continuing the search for now."
"I'm assuming dead ends Severus?" The matron asked.
"Yes, afraid so." the man drawled, sipping his drink, "is there anything new to share on Potters condition?"
The matron shook her head no, "all magical means has been checked out, he is technically in a coma. Reliving through traumatic events, I believe."
The man paused looking at his cup then back up to the matron, "what about muggle means then?"
"Severus," she scolded. "This is by magical means. How could it be muggle orientated?"
"You know there are muggles called shamans and that satanic ritual stuff." the man then stood up banishing the mug away, "I will return in the morning, I think I remember a muggle book at my childhood home."
"Very well good luck" she wished him as he left the private room. Singing she stood looking over the young teen, "soon we will wake you. It's been a couple of days already, and I am worried it will be too late." She tucked in the teen some more as the sun peaked out behind the Scottish hills.
Sobs wrecked through the teen, though muffled from the pillow, they could still be heard. Shuddering Harry seen the pain and torture he was forced to endure again. Every night thus far he would die and wake when the sun rose, back on his bed. "Please..." the teen sobbed to nobody in particular, "I...I need help. I don't know what to do." An Anguished sob came out of his mouth they wouldn't go away. The memories.
In between his sobs a loud crash was heard behind Harry. Spinning around he found there toppled over on the shelf was an old book. Not remembering it being there before, Harry stood up pulling out the book. Gods and Demons were written on the cover. It was a book long ago he stole from Dudley, a muggle born. Excitingly Harry was quickly sucked into the book till the chilling laugher was heard coming up the stairs. Not realizing the time Harry never lit any lights, frantically he slid the book up his bed as the door opened.
Slamming in the wall the door creaked with age, as a small group of students filtered into the abandoned room. "Okay spill, who was the name you burned?"
Holding up his hands he only defense strategy at the moment, "really now. What got you all mad."
An angry sigh was here, "there is a teen in the hospital wing as we speak; unable to wake up. Now I demand an answer, who was the enemy you chose?"
A glaring contest commenced as the one didn't want to say only to cave the story after, "Harry Potter. It was Harry Potter."
Everyone in the room froze, "Merlin...Great Circe...Merlin's beard..." were heard from around the room as the implications play back in their minds.
"The ritual, i-it worked," they all shared a terrified look. "Harry Potter is in the Hospital Wing as we speak and has been for the past couple of days."
"I have heard from the paintings they hear his screams at night."
"Wait a minute, you're telling me that hoax of a muggle ritual worked?"
They all nodded, then the one question they didn't know the answer to was asked. "What should we do now?"
At a quick pace Harry went down the last aisle in the library. His childhood books. The section wasn't that large, just a couple of bookcases as he couldn't read anything at the Dursley's. Growing up he could only read in libraries, never checking them out but he would read endlessly. Smiling Harry came to the book in question, Alice through the looking Glass. All the clues led to this muggle book. Flipping through the old copy, stopping at a certain spot, only to have his smile grow larger. He had a plan in motion, there is a way out.
"Come out. Come out wherever you are.'' Harry froze as he heard the demon. Hiding the book, he placed it back into its spot. "I know you're in here, boy." Running through the isle he tried to get far away from that section he could, only to fall on his face as the snakes wrapped around his legs, looking up the emancipated man looked down at him laughing. "Time for some fun memory games."
All throughout the infirmary and down the halls, the paintings and the matron silently cried as the wails from the teen was hard. This time though the matron was pleased to note no external injuries but there was nothing said on the mind part being fine.
Standing up with a proud smile Harry was admiring his work on the final trap. The plan was ready, he stepped out over to the opened window, looking over the quidditch pitch. Now all he needed to do was wait for the sun to set.
A tall man with shoulder black hair raced through the first floor of Hogwarts heading to the infirmary. "I have the book Poppy." He placed a large book on her desk.
She peered over at it, "Gods and Demons?"
"Yes it was in one of the shelves, but it's an encyclopedia of different muggle gods, goddesses, Demons, all of the known practiced ones." He flipped open the book to a section, I haven't read it yet, but the sections of nightmare demons cou-" He was stopped in his sentence when an alarm sounded, both of them dashed to the private room.
Harry was running at full sprint with the shadow snakes, and the demon was chasing him and then at a dead end Harry vanished from site. Turning around the demon scanned the hallway only to see Harry running up the stairs at the opposite end. "I'm going getting you now boy." He laughed as he began the chase. "Come out wherever you are," the demon sang as he looked around the moving staircases. Harry smiled as he waved to the demon from the seventh landing. The demon laughed as he shadowed up the seventh floor, Harry then ran to the spiral staircase to one of the various towers. Slowly Harry heard the demon joining him up the stairs. "You can't escape from me, now boy," Thinking Harry was now trapped. There Harry panting heavily stood in the center of the small tower room at the top of the stairs. The demon watched Harry smile and wave only to fall to the ground. Suddenly the door slammed shut, as the demon looked at the note "fooled ya!"
Harry laughed to himself as he heard the screams of the demon. Looking up he was sure the demon was looking out the window. He just gave a salute and ran into the forest, a torch in his hand. A few golems and projections, the plan was perfect.
Sprinting through trees he zigzagged here and there with one place in mind. A way out. His torch lit his path as Harry ran without stopping knowing the demon wasn't the only nightmare in the forest. Finally, he made it. Stopping Harry stood in front of a small rocky clearing a frozen liquid waterfall was glistening in the night. Cautiously Harry stepped into the hard lake caught in the beauty of it all. Slowly he reached out his hand to touch the frozen liquid- "You don't want to do this boy."
Harry turns and smiles at the demon who stood the edge of the lake unable to go farther "of course I do." Harry turned back around knowing that once he passed through the demon wouldn't have a reason to stay in Harry's mind, the emaciated man would be banished back to where he belonged.
With quick movements Harry plunged into the frozen liquid waterfall. Instantaneously Harry was surrounded by blinding light. In a combination of everything he heard a scream and pain from the emancipated man as he ceased existence. But also shouts of fractured conversation from far away. Then nothing, everything stopped. Windblown Harry stood looking around where he sto-
"Harry? What on earth are you doing here?!" He spins around he saw two people he never in his wildest dreams would see.
Shock emanated throughout the private room the occupants in the room stared unblinkingly at the unresponsive teen. They fell bonelessly into chairs shocked and drained by it all. "He's gone. There is no pulse. We tried everything. Harry Potter is dead."
*Up Next: With the knowledge of the ritual actually worked; what will the group do next? Who do you think enacted the spell? Where did Harry go? The adults seemed to have found something is it too late..
They will be answered in five days from today on Hallowe'en. Hope you enjoyed!*
