The Hoenn group walked into Emerald's room. He was getting worse. He was twisted in his blanket. He was shaking. Ruby shook him lightly.

"Come on... time to wak-" Emerald shot awake. Sapphire was there to grab him.

"Whoa whoa whoa." Emerald looked like he had been crying. Something was giving him a bad feeling. He tried to pull back.

"N-no........" Ruby bit his lip. "No........."

"No one's here to hurt ya. Calm down." His eyes were different. Almost as if he could see something that they couldn't.

"N-" He was cut off by Ruby knocking him out. Sapphire glanced at him.

"Wow.... rude." He shrugged.

"Someone had to. Something is happening that we're not seeing." She nodded. She wrapped Emerald up in the blanket.

"Should we tell the others? Cause we haven't figured it out and I've already gotten a call from Crystal." He gulped quietly.

"We can't keep avoiding it. I'll tell Wally to keep an eye on him. Wait until he comes in. I'll meet you outside."

The duo walked into the Johto base. The others were murmuring until Sapphire spoke.

"Now I know that you're gonna to greet us." The entire room jumped at her voice. A smirk crossed her face. "Too easy." Gold adjusted his hat.

"We weren't expecting you guys..." She paused.

"Embarrassing." The other Dexters tried to intervene with that comment. Red was the only one that said something interesting.

"Likewise." Ruby grabbed his mouth as Sapphire turned to him.

"Classy. What's the meeting about this time?"

"And no. We're not talking about the base." Several Dexters groaned. Red shrugged.

"When I find it you are." Sapphire glared at him.

"In a million years maybe." She sat down next to Ruby.

"Still no Emerald?" Crystal whispered nervously.

"We can start with that." Sapphire huffed.

"Why? What happened?" Crystal adjusted in her chair.

"That's the problem. We don't know." Ruby showed them photos of the situation. The group glanced at each other.

"When did this happen?"

"During the meeting in Kanto. That was what the call was about." The others glanced at him. "This is why we came. It's a problem within the Dexters."

"Something that we can't avoid..." Green murmured. Silence filled the room. Gold finally broke it.

"We have to figure this out. We can bicker about the base later. Let's split up and deal with it before it gets out of hand." The others nodded before leaving.

My POV

It was dark and quiet. I thought that I finally found peace. I knew that I was in a dream, but even if I woke up, the darkness and evil followed me out of the dream.

"EMERALD..."  I froze as something loomed over me. I looked up in enough time to see something race at me.

I bolted awake. Arms wrapped around me. Wally. Despite the friendly gesture, I saw something in the corner. My first reaction was to run. I tried to pull back.

"It's.... ok... Emerald..." The words weakly entered my ears. They were super quiet. A voice crowded the calming voice.

"OH EMERALD... TIME TO PLAY!"

My efforts to escape failed as Wally hugged me tighter. He was a lot bigger and stronger than me. My small body couldn't slip out of his grasp.

"Calm down..."

"EMERALD..."

"No......... leave me alone..." I buried my face into Wally's chest and shuddered. Wally rubbed the back of my head.

"Shh............" Tears streamed down my face.

"No.............." Darkness clouded my vision.

"It's ok... no one's gonna hurt you..." I whimpered weakly before passing out from all of the struggling. The worst part about it? The voice came back.

"ARE YOU READY NOW...

EMERALD?"
