Part Two of Chapter One: References

As we all know... All fangirls suffer from... Well, quite honestly it's not a disease and it's not suffering. We have the gift of referencing. Or, the short form GOF, now Harry Potter fangirls and maybe even fanboys will smile to themselves when the see GOF, as it reminds them of the fourth book in the amaze series, Goblet of Fire. The GOF occurs when you make a joke relating to your fandom (or sometimes fandoms, if that's possible) which, unless you have Fangirl and Fanboy friends, no-one will understand. It's a rather awful feeling, as I know, seeing I have no fangirl friends. But, sometimes you make a reference and someone in your famdom is standing near you and they hear you. They send a small smile in your direction, and you feel very good. You feel like you are not alone. Which, you will never be. You will never be alone in being a Famgirl or Fanboy. Because there are millions of us out there (Unless it's a Fanboy, those are very rare) and, even thousands of years ago, our kind existed. Yes, even in the ancient times. As revealed in ancient fangirl gibberish scrolls in ancient Egypt, a young girl who went by the name of Mariam was the first known fangirl. Her scroll (translated from Egyptian, of course) goes something like this:

         Dear Scroll,

I fear for my life. What is happening to me? I do not know. Egypt is a land of prosperity, no "Man is better than woman" or even "Rich are better than poor". No. We are all treated equally, but peasant girls like me do not get education. However, I  sneak into the lessons of the higher classes. I managed to steal a scroll from the class. It is a wonderful story. It tells of a girl and a boy who loved each other very much, but were doomed as their parents were against their relationship. I very much wish them to be together. I cannot stop thinking about that story!

           Dear Scroll,

Once again, I am becoming a, as I have begun to call it, a "fangirl". As I am a fan... And a girl. It makes sense! Now, shut up, haters. A very wonderful harp player has come to my village to play his music. He is very good looking. 😍😍😍 <-- I am told I am very good at drawing... As a matter of fact I have even begun doodling the characters in the story and that harp player! I fear. I fear that I am becoming something terrible. Yet powerful. Not a force to be reckoned with... It's like I didn't choose the fangirl life; the fangirl life grabbed me by the ankle and pulled me down to the depths of hell, but it's kind of fun down here... I don't know...

Yes, there have been fangirls for thousands of years... And, we we're never alone. As even Mariam founded the very first fangirl base. Or rather, group. She found others like her, and was delighted to see that she was not alone. And you know how she found them? References, they made little references to their fandoms. There are three types of references.

~Obvious References

These types of references let everyone know that you're a fangirl, if they know about the fandom.

Ex: *You see a fly*

*Your friend is about to squash it*

You say: NO! Don't squash him! It could be Frank!

~Subtle References

Only close family and friends can detect these. Very easily, as well.

  Ex: Holy Hera!

        What in Merlin's beard?

       What the Hades?

~Vague References

Only fandom members can get these.

Ex: "Nobody".

You: Hey, that storm last night was SIRIUSLY BLACK.

You: *On a dam* I think I'm gonna go the DAM bathroom!

Thank you for reading, please remember to come back next time when we discuss the history of Fangirls. It will not be nearly as boring as Professor Binns' lessons. (Now that was an Obvious Reference)

A/N: Hope this chapter was understandable, and not too boring. PEACE.
