I've found that verbs in writing have become more important to me than adjectives, nouns, or any other part of speech.
For example, this:
Their entire faces crinkle when they smile, like their sassy personality.
Is not as descriptive as this:
Their noses, trimmed up in shape, are always seamed with the firm strings of a smile, and those strings also pleat their fawn eyes on their quest to vanquish the entirety of the two's faces with a jocular grin and a grain of sass to further their personalities.
Interesting verbs in this sentence: seamed (adjectival form of a verb), pleat, vanquish, trimmed (adjectival form of a verb)

Hope this helped!
