False Hope
Dauntless is the passion he greatly believes in
For it is what drives him towards the direction of courage
Shameful is the fear that blurs out his mind
For the only things he sees are myth
Stand in fortitude and give in charity
Handle life in a glass clear of perspective
With one goal and impression
Of what thy heart desires
Groan in anger when you are offended
But do not conceal the hatred inside
We may turn away with others we are in conflict with
Or choose them over our goals in life
All of us are responsible with liberty
Handed down unto starts that twinkle in our eyes
We yearn to escape from fight and anxiety
Through hopeful courage, we succeed
Triumph is not the ultimate answer
It's the wisdom we instill elsewhere
We may win in title but not in soul
That's the most unrealistic victory
Author's Note:
These stanzas are still hand-picked from the black notebook. This week has been a difficult time for my country, Philippines. Somehow this poem is a reflection on what's going on in my homeland.
