Welcome To My Garden
Logan was falling through the sky, screaming despite the wind blowing it away. Patton was shrieking too, blue lightning crackling around his body as he conjured a stormcloud that exploded across the entire sky.
Roman was shaking a limp body of Virgil, yelling something Logan couldn't hear over the wind. They passed through the clouds as Patton let off another ripple of lightning.

Thomas peered through the shutters of his large window just in time to see the second flash of streak lightning. "Huh," He said to himself, "The forecast said nothing about this..." He looked back at his TV, lounging over to his sofa as the curtains were left slightly open.
.:*:.
Patton's' screams turned into echoes of thunder, as he reached out for Logan. Logan stretched out to grab Patton, leaving one hand gripping to the Book as they plunged lower and lower. Roman and Virgil had disappeared behind more clouds, leaving pits through the ones they collided with.
.:*:.
The thunder made Thomas jump and he checked his phone to see if the storm would last that long. The internet said nothing about any sort of storm. It was still sunny outside, with mild wind.
He stared out of the window again, but the skies were perfectly blue, with white clouds. Still holding his phone, Thomas slowly dialled Joan.
.:*:.
Logan burst through the bottom of the clouds, being dragged down faster with the extra weight donated by Patton. Roman was stretching out to his friends while trying to cling to the unconscious Virgil. Patton reached forwards, pushing his weight forwards as he tried to grab Roman.
Athena's' son looked at the Book in his hands, trying to calculate the time until they landed without needing it. If he wanted to read it safely, he'd need to let go of Patton but to let go of Patton could mean to lose him.
Logan strained to see the ground, confused at the sight of-

-The neighbourhood was probably confused, Thomas mused to himself. He knew he was. Joan picked up on the final ring.
"Hey, Thomas the dank engine, wassup?" Joan's' voice came flooding through the phone speaker.
"Joan, just checking, the news said nothing about a storm happening today, right?"
A moment of silence. "No, not locally anyway..."
"There's a storm going on right now..."
Joan laughed, then heard the seriousness in their friends' voice. "You serious?"
"Yeah, look outside."
"Thomas, I'm outta town right now, driving home from visiting Terrence. Remember?"
Now Joan had said it, Thomas could hear the engines in the background, the faint radio and Joan's' silent cursing at idiotic drivers. "Right," Thomas said, taking a deep breath, "Sorry, there's just a storm going on right now."
"Huh, that's odd. Don't go outside then, if there's-"
.:*:.
Lightning coursed from Patton's' eyes and mouth as he screamed out in terror, before forcing down the fear. He managed to grab Roman's' wrist, trying to pull his friend up to him but only managed to succeed in dragging him and Logan down further.
Both pairs sped up in their descent but Logan could now hear Roman screaming Virgil's' name as he tried to shake the other god awake.
Logan's' eyes flickered to their landing spot. There was a creature below them, caged in a wooden box and green grass was getting closer and closer.
.:*:.
Thomas stared out his window, eyes falling on the squirrel that was staring up at the sky. "One second, Joan, there's a squirrel out there."
"Okay?"
"I'm gonna make sure it's okay. I don't want it to be hurt in something like this." Thomas got up off the sofa, walking carefully to the door and placing his hand on the handle as he tried not to get put off by the three bolts of lightning that tore randomly through the sky.
"Woah, wait, Thomas, don't go out there! I just saw those lightning bolts, it is not safe!" Joan protested loudly.
Thomas ignored his friend as he opened the door. "It'll be fine, Joan, I'm only gonna be out there for-"
.:*:.
A few seconds before they hit the ground, Logan watched as Roman let go of Patton's' hand to curl himself protectively around Virgil, turning away from the approaching grass.
Paton whimpered at the sight of his unconscious cousin, pulling Logan closer to him out of fear.
Then they smacked into the ground and-

Thomas screamed as four people his age dropped into the ground at breakneck speed and Joan yelled frantically before Thomas hung up on them out of shock.
There were four men, separated into pairs and each one of them looked like their bones had shattered on impact. They all wore fancy dress and were lying very close to each other.
One began to sit up, rubbing his head, as he looked around almost drowsily. His eyes fell on Thomas and he yelped, crawling over and off his friend in fear or surprise.
"Hi." Said Thomas in a small voice as he stared at the other. "Welcome to my garden." And then he blacked out.
