Shutting Up The Sources
Agent Ghost raised an eyebrow at the woman. "So, you saw the people?"
"Oh, I did, sir!" She gushed. "One of them was so beautiful, I-I don't know how I fell for him in those few seconds! He was just... So, so gorgeous and I have a girlfriend! Then there was someone who petted our dog, a tall one who didn't speak much and this emo who, I think, was dating the really pretty one. But, seriously, this man, he was just so-"
Agent Ghost held up his hand and she shut up. "You've mentioned four. I asked for seven. Do you remember anyone else?"
The woman thought for a moment. "Th-They didn't jump to my mind, sorry, but there were three others. A female and two males, in body types - I never caught any specific gender identities. The female had rainbow hair and one of the males wore a beanie. The second male was... Moderate. He had brown hair and, I don't know, he just fades from memory a bit..."
Agent Ghost turned to his assistant. "Taking notes?"
"Yes, sir!"
The man turned back to the woman. "Do you know where they were going?"
"A-Across the border, uh, to Georgia," She responded, "They checked out, I-" The woman stiffened. "They didn't check out! I didn't check their vehicle, I-I let them go!"
"It's fine." Assured Agent Ghost. "We're on it. You're doing a great job. This interview doesn't even matter, to be honest."
The woman frowned. "I feel like you're trying to pull a Jedi mind trick on me..."
The man smiled, standing. "It doesn't matter if you want to keep your job, anyway. No more questions."
She paled as she watched the two leave. She decided not to say a word to anyone. It didn't matter if she wanted to keep her job.
The woman got demoted when she told her girlfriend that night something weird had happened. She never spoke another word about it.
