Finding You
Valerie frowned. "What do you want with them?"
The big man smiled sadly. "I'm afraid that we believe your friends have committed, for a lack of a better word, a murder. Do you know where they've gone?"
"I-I mean, no, they asked me to borrow m-my camper-van but that's it! They n-never said anything, I- Listen, my friends would never commit a murder!" She tried to fight back, pointing her finger accusingly.
"We're afraid they have. Did they tell you why they had to leave?"
"...No."
"Then why would they tell you if they killed someone?"
Valerie was silent, head pounding faster than her heart. She looked around her street, trying to lock eyes with anyone who wasn't this man getting inside her head. His voice and eyes were almost hypnotic and if she looked into them, she'd be sucked down into a pit of confession. Valerie felt her throat constricting with nerves.
She scowled, struggling to regain her defence. "Whatever. I can't help you, sir. Leave my friends alone-"
"How's your mother, Valerie?"

Agent Ghost smirked as he got back into his van. His pathetic helper looked up. "Did you get it, sir?"
"Of course, she's just a foolish girl. Send this back to HQ," He handed the assistant a strip of numbers and letters, "It's the number plate. I want to know the location of every camera that's snapped the number."
"If you don't mind me asking, sir, how did you know it was them?"
Agent Ghost strapped himself into the passenger seat, glancing back at the door of the young woman. "Because when no one answered the houses I broke down the doors. The first two houses were ransacked of clothes and essentials, but it seemed to fast and rushed to be for a well prepared holiday. Both houses the same photograph on the bedside table of three people. I looked around the house of the first person, finding a lot of hair dye in different colours and a dye preserver of some kind."
"But how does that help in finding the run-a-ways?"
"Because, you idiot, when I searched for the next house and I found the same picture, I noticed the same clothes in the wardrobe as the clothes another was wearing. Also, it had also been emptied in a rush and some bags were missing."
The assistant's' jaw dropped. "How could you find that out?"
Agent Ghost shrugged. "There wasn't any dust on certain places on the floor in the attic, and it looked like the shape of a bag."
"And the third?"
"I found a picture of the third online and asked around for where he lived. I got to his neighbour and found his house. His coffee table had been destroyed and there was a dent in his bedroom wall. The dent was shaped like an oval and there was black and gold liquid staining the walls. It tasted like blood, so the men from the sky can only be aliens." Agent Ghost nodded as they drove down the street. "We've already come across a few."
The assistant grinned like an idiot. "You're so good at this, sir! Do you know where they've gone now?"
"No. But HQ will send that information. But now we have the number plate. There's nowhere they can go to in this country that we can't follow."
A derpy giggle from the assistant and Agent Ghost prayed that this wouldn't be his laugh for the rest of this trip.
