God and Boy
I held Steve who was beginning to grip onto my clothes with tears appearing in his eyes.
"We built it because we felt like we had to!" Notch said in protest. "We just decided to do more, to do what we felt was right!"
"Well making a coherent being was never on the damn list! Not something that could potentially destroy what we made, not THAT!" Hero said with a rising voice, and it was getting on my nerves.
"I assure you Steve will have no intentions to harm our world! And we never made a damn list, we just got here and then we went from there." I said with a glare and saw Herobrine hesitate for a second before putting out his retort.
"Well if it does get out of control, can we kill it?" Herobrine asked coldly, and that was the last straw.
"GET OUT!" I yelled, and it caught his attention. Everything but Steve's soft crying had silenced, my brother's mouth slightly agape as his eyes widened. There was this strong urge to protect Steve, and i knew I couldn't let him just Die! He is my creation, he is the first of his kind, this boy of mine.
"That thing is messing with your head." Herobrine finally said quietly and spoke once more before I could retort. "Just make sure he stays in line or I will put him in line." He threatened before turning on his heels and teleporting.
I felt my tension relax, and I looked at Steve. "Don't worry Steve, I'll protect you. Even if you look like my brother, you're nothing like him. That's why your eyes are the difference, something about blue, it works for you. Calm, quiet, sweet." I began talking in a soft voice which soothed Steve till he was only sniffling as he wiped his eyes with his chubby little hands.
So I decided to walk over to the little 'play area' I made for him and sat down with my legs crossed. "Now, go build. Have fun and smile." I said. Oh how I wish I hadn't been so attached then, maybe Things could have turned out different. But my brother always said I was a clingy person when it came to small things. Don't know where he got that from, and he just won't tell me.
Steve crawled out of my lap and to the small chests full of different blocks. He had been making some sort of group of houses. They were all simple and designed to just house. Nothing special, but more advanced than I thought he would be. I have no clue where his hyper intelligence came from. My brother said he was like me more than him, he said it was because I made him alone he was so single minded.
He was now building something out of small cobble stone blocks. His babbles almost made words. I could get 'church' from it. So that's what I called it.
I could tell he knew something was missing and i could feel it too. I began to space out as he worked away.
"v-vi-vi ge" he was trying to name the things he built as he backed up to look at it. The afternoon sun looming through the holes in the walls so i could see around me. I looked at Steve puzzled, unsure of what he was saying.
"V-vi-vi-vil g-ge." He was struggling but he was persistent. "Vill-ge" he said and pointed, satisfied with the word. i would fix it later but this was adorable.
"villge? i asked him as i looked it over. several houses, some big, some small, two cobble stone buildings with two complete different appearances. "is that all?" i asked him. he shook his head. "miss'n" he said. that word was something he picked up quick.
"missing what?" i asked him. He pointed to himself and me before speaking.
"pepo." he said and used two fingers with a walking motion to the town. "bad pepo wrng" he babbled out. and i understood him. how can you have so many houses with no one there to live?
"want to help me make people?" i asked him, and he lit up. "but they wont be smart like you. ok?" i asked him, and he nodded. i knew i should have told my brother that time also, at least face to face. but when he was angry, there was no finding the man who didn't want to be found.
So i got up and held a finger and he knew to wait a second before i picked him up. i went to my desk near the door and quickly wrote down what id be doing. 'village' i decided. 'villagers' will be there name. much like animals they wont fight or have a mind of there own. they will wonder within there 'village' aimlessly until we give them purpose. i brought it out to the door and put it inside an item frame before going to Steve who already had his arms reaching out to me.
I should have just waited, but this was for Steve, and i would get 'Code' and 'Seed' to 'update' these villages into our world for the next time it re set. Hero was waiting to do the same with the water temples, but it could be a while till those two came back.
We only needed there respective seeds and codes to have something continue on to when we 'reset' the world in a sense. So that we not only re fresh the materials but so we can see something new.
But I can build things temporarily, and I am able to keep my blueprints after making one, which those go into having them re occur like sheep and cows!
I set Steve down on the edge of the alter I made him on. And I gathered materials but then after placing them down, I realized I had no plan.
"Steve, what should they look like?" I asked, and he quickly pointed to me.
"Not fuffy." He then said and giggled.
I gave a nod and began to carve the head while Steve played with some clay. He was making something, but I wasn't sure what at the moment. I was too focused on the skull, and soon realized it was quite big. But I let it be and moved onto carving out more bones, creating a similar bone structure to Steve.
Then after making the whole structure i felt Steve tug on my sleeve. I looked over and saw what he made. It did look like me, but with a big forehead and nose. But what confused me were the arms.
"Why are the arms like that?" I asked.
He put his palms together in front of him. "Waz!" He said excitedly.
It took me a second, but I got the hint. "Wise?" I asked and he gave a nod. "You want them simple but wise?" He gave an enthusiastic nod that made me chuckle. So, I just fixed the arm placement. And I used the wet sticky sugar to make the muscles, and basically repeated a process that was similar to Steve's. But I could hear him yawn when I was half way through. I looked at him and saw he was sleepy with his droopy eyes and slouched body. I put down my things and picked him up, taking him to the bedroom. "I'll have it ready for you in the morning. Ok?" I asked. I noticed he had a unibrow Of clay, which gave me an idea and I wiped it off with my cape before laying him down and tucking him in. I didn't need sleep, it was only used to pass the time. And it will seem like only a second for Steve, but I will experience the whole night. Of course I didn't mind, and he was adorable while he slept.
And then I returned to my work. It was very time consuming, and I made sure to add a unibrow to the villager to make it look a little funny. But sadly, yes they do look similar to me, but I need something to look off of before I actually make something. Hero was usually the one to provide me with pictures of ideas of things we could make. Including items.
He was the one who controlled and made most of the underground, I only did snit bits here and there.
And before I knew it, I finished and Steve was waking up with a loud yawn. Today he would know more words which was an affect of accelerating growth. I won't have long before he's gone. And boy did it mess me up to never speak to him directly for a long long time.
