Chapter 25: Lake Picnic
You and Calli are at the lake, having a picnic on a cliff that has a good view of the lake and your surroundings.
Calli: "I like that we have places like these. I mean it takes some time regardless if it's by foot or by vehicle, but still."
"I get what you're saying. We got more chocolate?"
Calli: "You know it."
She grabbed some chocolate from the basket and fed it to you. Your phone rang, and you saw that a text message from your parents.
Calli: "They asking you where you are again?"
"Yeah."
Calli: "Well, they know about me and talked with my parents a bunch of times, so just tell them you're hanging out with me. There's nothing wrong with that. And I am not criticizing you like when we first met."
"Well, that was the only time I was begging to you, but that's something I should leave out."
Calli: "Definitely."
You texted your parents that you're hanging out with Calli.
"They said good to know. I guess they really are okay with us hanging out together."
Calli: "Not entirely sure they know that we're also kinda dating, but we can tell them later."
You nodded, and the two of you continued enjoying their picnic for a bit before going down near the lake.
"I like places like these. It's kinda nice to just be with nature and take a break from modern society. I still don't mind going back to it, just saying being somewhere away from civilization is just peaceful in the moments that are cherished."
Calli: "Yeah, I get it. I'm still going to be a big city girl, but I see the quiet places are also important to be in as well."
"Well, now that we've been to the lake, how about we head back?"
Calli: "Okay then."
The two of you gathered your things and headed to a bus stop. Once one arrived, you hopped on it and headed back to town. You and Calli then took a selfie together and hugged each other.
