Chapter 10: At the Beach
You and Calli are walking on the beach holding each other's hands.
Calli: "I've been wanting to go to a beach for a while. I'm surprised there's one near town, though it kind of sucks that it's an hour away."
"We're pretty lucky that it's only an hour away. I mean, there's actually a bus stop, so we don't have to ask our parents."
Calli: "Yeah, you're probably right."
You saw a pier leading a bit farther into the water and you ran toward it. You and Calli got on the pier and ran to the end of it.
You looked at the ocean and saw the horizon.
Calli: "I'm just gonna say it: that is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
"You know the most beautiful thing I've ever seen?"
Calli: "No, what is it?"
"You punching me in the face before saying you'll be my girlfriend."
Calli laughed.
Calli: "Would you just let that first part go?"
"Sorry, but between everything that has ever happened, I'm keeping it."
Calli sighed.
Calli: "Very well. You did happen to restrain yourself from being over-excited and making a scene."
"Honestly, I'm happy that we became official. The old fanboy me would be running and jumping for joy for hours."
Calli laughed.
Calli: "You would do that."
"Now, I'm simply at a loss for words."
Calli: "Well, how would you describe it?"
"Something I am really grateful for. Something that I really want to see where it's heading. Something that I plan on enjoying with you, if that's okay."
Calli chuckled.
Calli: "It is, but thanks for asking for permission."
"To think, this all started when I was just a fanboy that found out you moved in across the street."
Calli: "And you getting on your knees and begging me to give you a chance."
"Yeah, pretty much. Then I got to hang out with you every day and I got to know you more and have fun with you."
Calli smiled at your statement.
"Then after Valentine's Day, and taking a trip to the city with you, I felt something genuine that wasn't just what you'd expect from a fan. I actually fell for you, Calli. And when you said yes to us going out on that hill, It felt like something out of a fantasy."
Calli: "I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt that way."
You grabbed Calli's other hand.
"Calli, I ain't done showing you things. And I can tell you ain't done revealing things to me as well."
Calli: "Then let's keep having fun together."
You and Calli kiss and see the sun setting; as such, you walked away from the pier and headed to the bus stop to go home.
