Over the last week the team had gone on two missions to try and figure out what Vlad was up to. Vlad was never actually there so it made it easier for Phantom to sneak around and look for clues. Robin had tried hacking into their files but there wasn't much information there either.

Phantom was pretty sure he was going to get a headache at this rate, at least he wasn't thinking about it 24/7. Robin made sure Phantom didn't dwell on it all of the time by dragging him out of his room. Cujo also make Phantom play with him so that helped to, it was like the two were working as a team to make sure Phantom didn't go crazy.

Phantom wasn't going to go complain though, he liked spending time with Robin and playing with Cujo was fun. Today had a different distraction though, the team had been hanging out when Phantom's ghost sense went off. Phantom looked around and the team wondered what was going on, Cujo barked at Phantom.

Then a ghost came through one of the walls, it was Dora, Phantom was both happy and shocked. Dora smiled and hugged Phantom for a second before she looked at him seriously. "We need help in the ghost zone."

Phantom immediately went into what many called 'king mode,' it only happened in situations like this. His posture changed and he his presence made you feel like he was a person of high status. His tone of voice also changed, "What's going on?"

"Some of the ghosts are beginning to fight with each other and we can't stop them."

"Then we'll leave now, we both know how quickly things like this can escalate." Before anyone knew it a portal appeared and the two, along with Cujo, walked through it. Everyone stayed silent for several minutes as they tried to figure out what was going on.

Robin sighed, "I'll call Batman." While Robin went to call Batman the team eventually went back to whatever they were doing. Once Phantom, Dora, and Cujo appeared in the ghost zone Dora lead him to where the ghosts were. They were arguing about territory, it took Phantom almost an hour to get them to calm down.

He got them to go back to their own places of residence and he was glad that he stopped a fight from breaking out. Dora thanked him and Phantom went back to the human realm, he opened a portal that lead into the mountain and stepped through it with Cujo next to him. When he did everyone was staring at him and he raised an eyebrow, "Why is everyone staring at me?"

"A ghost suddenly appeared and you left without any explanation." said Aqualad.

Phantom hummed, "Fair point, some ghosts were arguing about territory and I had to resolve it before a fight broke out." Cujo barked at Phantom and the ghost teen mentally sighed as he walked with Cujo until they were outside. Phantom made a ball out of ectoplasm and he threw it as far as he could, it was out of sight within seconds.

As Cujo went to chase the ball Phantom quickly climbed a tree and sat on one of the branches. Robin came to find Phantom a minute or two later, when he saw his boyfriend in the tree he climbed it. Phantom was a bit amused by it because Robin almost fell once, apparently he wasn't used to climbing trees.

When Robin was finally sitting next to the halfa he turned to his boyfriend, "I have no clue why people like climbing trees so much."

Phantom smirked, "Well I think it's fun." Phantom laughed at the strange looked on Robin's face and the young hero rolled his eyes. Robin kissed Phantom on the cheek before holding his hand, "So how are you?"

Phantom shrugged, "With everything that's going on it's hard to say." Phantom quietly sighed, "There are some things you should know."

Robin gave Phantom a slightly confused look, "What is it?"

"You know that I'm a halfa, what you don't know is that I'm not the only halfa."

Robin looked completely stunned, "There's another halfa, who is it?"

Phantom hesitated for just a second, "Vlad is a halfa, he became a halfa before I did."

Robin was seriously wondering if he'd ever know all of Phantom's secrets at this point. "But if Vlad is a halfa then shouldn't you two be allies, why are you enemies?"

"Vlad doesn't know I'm a halfa, the first time I met him he tried to kill Jack, it was after I ran away from them. At that time I still cared about them for some damn reason, it was before everything with the GIW."

Robin seemed to have lost the ability to speak for a few minutes, he wasn't sure how to respond. Robin blinked, "So they only person that might be able to understand you is your enemy."

Phantom nodded, "Pretty much."

Robin shook his head, "That's messed up, then again if you hadn't become enemies you might have been evil so I'm sort of glad. I have mixed feelings about this, I don't know how I'm supposed to react."

Phantom laughed a little, "Well that bastard was evil before I became a halfa and he's probably not going to change. If he knew I was a halfa he'd probably try to get me to join him and I'd say fuck that, I'm glad we're enemies."

Robin smiled, "So do you have any more world changing secrets you'd like to share?"

"Just one."

Robin's eyes widened, "I didn't think you'd actually say yes, how many secrets do you have?"

Phantom smirked, "I have a lot of secrets, so do you want to hear this one or do you want to stay oblivious?"

Robin didn't even hesitate to answer, "I want to hear it."

Phantom took a deep breath, "Do you remember when I went to the ghost zone for a few days?"

Robin nodded, "It's kind of hard to forget."

"Well when I was there I kind of, um, well, I was crowned king of the ghost zone." The second half of Phantom's sentence was quiet but Robin somehow heard it.

Robin was sure that he had heard Phantom wrong, "Sorry can you say that again."

Phantom hesitated for a moment, "I was crowned king of the ghost zone." It almost sounded like a question, Phantom was just hoping that Robin wouldn't freak out.

Robin tried to speak but there was no sound, it was like a silent movie until he suddenly found his voice again. "You're the king of the ghost zone?!"

Phantom covered Robin's mouth with his hand, "Are you trying to tell the whole world?"

Robin moved Phantom's hand away from his mouth, "Sorry, but your the king of the ghost zone?"

Phantom laughed nervously, "The ghost zone was in a state of chaos and to restore order they needed a crowned ruler. The previous king was locked away and ghosts starting turning on each other but higher level ghosts managed to control it. After I became prince they calmed down a bit but when I went missing it got even worse."

"In order to calm everyone down and let them know I was okay I was crowned king. I decided to keep it hidden for several reasons but I figured that you should know. Since we're kind of dating now I wanted to tell you, it's not exactly something I should hide from you at this point."

Robin felt like his head was spinning a little but after a second his brain caught up with what was going on. "So I'm dating the king of the ghost zone, what does that mean exactly?"

Phantom thought of how to put it into words, "Your sort of like an honorary ruler I guess. Since we're not actually married or anything and you're completely alive you're also a ruler but few ghosts would probably listen to you. They also have no clue that we're dating so it's complicated, I'm not completely sure how to explain it."

Robin thought for a second, "So would I be queen or another king, this is so confusing."

Phantom was about to answer but he didn't know what to say, he didn't know the answer. "I honestly have no clue, all of the previous rulers either didn't marry at all or they married someone that was the other gender." The two sat in silence for a minute as they tried to think of what the answer might be.

Robin eventually shrugged, "Screw it, I honestly don't care, I love you so I couldn't care less."

Phantom felt himself blush as he pulled his hood over his face, "I'm never going to get used to that am I?"

Robin smirked, "Used to what, me saying I love you."

Phantom tried to look angry but he couldn't, his green blush just made Robin laugh a little. Robin kissed Phantom and the two sat in the tree for a while, once Cujo came back they went inside.
