Distress of a Heart.
Ice did not have a great return. It wasn't that he was attacked, he just didn't have a quiet one. He slammed into Isaac, causing the duo to land on the ground. Isaac had landed on Ice's back, getting a peaceful landing, while Ice landed on his face and it hurt. It got worse when Dijon walked in on them trying to sort out what happened. His giggle gave him up.
"Aw... look at the love birds..." Ice cursed under his breath.
"Painkillers or not, he just knows, doesn't he?" He hissed lightly. Isaac, the only one with a mind to acknowledge it, nodded slightly as they got up. Ice stretched as Isaac tried to reason with the redhead.
"We don't like each other. We just happened to collide." Dijon gripped the wall as he chuckled.
"That's what they all say." Ice paused as he smiled.
"Hey Dijon, what about you? Don't you have a boyfriend?" Dijon's face warmed up and he dazed off as they slowly slipped away. He blinked as he shook his head.
"What does that have to do with-" He stopped as he noticed them missing. "Guys!"
They stayed quiet as he looked around. They had slipped into the lab and were waiting for a miracle to happen. He must've still been in the clouds as he drifted off the topic and went to go do something else. They giggled softly.
"I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm so glad he got damaged." Ice nodded.
"Agreed."
He shifted a little before they paused. Their faces were inches apart. Neither of them moved until Isaac gently moved and their lips touched gently. Ice didn't stop him as he wrapped his arms around the blonde. They held for a moment before they separated. They shared a warm blush before Isaac pulled back.
"W-we should get back to work." Ice nodded as they went their separate ways.

Ice should've known his question, or the scene in general, would've hurt Dijon. He found the redhead in his room hiding under the covers as he tried to keep himself together. Ice froze before going over.
"D-dijon...?" A red eye peeked out as he trembled.
"What do you want?" Ice sat down and sighed.
"I'm sorry for what happened. I should've realized you were going to be hurt by the question." Dijon didn't answer as he silently held back tears. He pulled the redhead into a hug, making him crack. Ice rubbed his back as he cried into his shoulder. "I know... It hurts.... I'm sorry. We're all hurting by the news. He was more than just a unit for us. But a partner in many forms." Dijon sniffled as the tears slowed down.
"What do you mean by that?" Ice paused. Did Crepe not tell them? Or was there something else? He pulled away to look at him. He kept his hands on Dijon's shoulders as he spoke.
"Crepe never called anyone that was more than a friend a friend. They were always partners. And there are many kinds for him. Some for love, others for battle. There's always someone out there that's titled partner for something. You and I are Crepe's partners... just for different reasons. Alright?"
Dijon nodded as Ice brought him back into a hug. Dijon relaxed in his arms as he ran his hands through his hair. While Ice didn't know any of Crepe's calming techniques, his bond said otherwise. He smiled softly as Dijon calmed down.
"We're going to get him back. If it takes our last breath, then so be it. We won't let them keep hurting anymore than they already are." Dijon nodded. A soft voice escaped him.
"Now that I think about it... Lavana owes me a fight." Ice couldn't contain the laughter that followed. The playful smile returned as he pulled away.
"You... Dijon no. Just no."
He giggled as Ice got a tissue to clean his face. Ice smiled as he finished. Dijon wasn't any different from him. Lost and needing guidance. That guidance was Crepe. But until they got him to the right side, Ice had to be that guidance. He patted Dijon's head.
"Rest. We might get info soon." Dijon nodded as Ice tucked him into bed.
