What Feels Right
YOUR POV
I turned around. "You were dead... How are you alive? I watched you die."
My mom looked down at her feet. "That was an illusion."
"Made by you?"
She looked up at me. "You know I have magiks, baby girl." Tears streamed down my face. I didn't know if it was because I was happy, or because I was angry.
I shook my head in confusion. "W-Why? Why would you do something like that? Why would you make us go through that pain?"
She looked back down at the ground.
My father interrupted. "It doesn't matter. What matters now is that she's home."
I ran over and gave my mom a hug. "I love you, Mom. Please don't ever leave us again."
She hugged me back. "I won't, baby girl. I won't."
We released from our hug and I turned to my siblings.
Andi stormed into the castle while Aaron hugged Mom.
"Umm, I'll be right back." I walked inside the castle, following Andi.
I found her standing in the hallway, a hole in the wall next to her. Her skin was getting paler and her eyes were getting brighter. I knew what was going on.
I took a deep breath and walked up to her. "Hey."
"Hey? That's all you can say?!" Andi stormed.
"Huh?"
"You just learned that you dead mother isn't actually dead. I watched you cry over her every single day, for two years. Two years, (Y/n). How can you just... forgive her, after she faked her death and disappeared under circumstances we don't know?!"
I stayed quiet. She rarely got this mad, but every once in a while, she would. I knew to just let her calm down.
"How, (Y/n)? HOW?!"
I looked down at my feet. "Andi, calm down. You can't go into your demonic form here. Everyone will see you." I said in a small voice.
"I. Don't. Care."
I sighed. "Why are you so stubborn?" I mumbled.
"Why are you so forgiving?" Andi shot back. "(Y/n), I don't understand you. I don't understand most the people in this world. And nobody gets me."
"I get you..."
"NO! You don't (Y/n). You don't know what it's like to loose both your parents, truly loose them. At least you knew your mom before she disappeared. I didn't. My parents died before I could. You don't know what it's like to have a best friend who lives in a castle, has her parents, never has to worry about her next meal, when you do. You don't know what it's like to have a power, that every time that you use it, or it comes out, even on accident, everyone runs screaming in the other direction because they're scared of you. Correct me if I'm wrong, (Y/n). Do you know, (Y/n)? Do you?"
I stayed silent.
She nodded, a skeptical look on her face. "That's what I thought."
She stormed down the hall.
I knew not to follow her. A single tear dripped down my face.
She didn't mean it (Y/n). You know that's her demon speaking.
I know... but it still hurts.
Andi first found out she was a hybrid between a demon and human about 5 years after her parent's death. So she was about 6. She didn't tell me about it till we were older though.
She found out when she was taken to Thurmond's orphanage. They had to do a medical exam in order for her to be let in. So that's when she found out.
She used to go all demon over silly, stupid things like cupcakes and legos. But eventually, she learned to control it. Her demon side only shows when she's feeling really strong emotions, when she isn't in control. It's usually anger and sadness when she goes demon, but it's possible for it to come out at other times.
When she holds a magiks item or near a really powerful one, her skin grows really pale and her green eyes are really vibrant. Her hair has silver streaks in it and sometimes starts floating a little.
I turned around and walked out of the castle.
"Hey, is Andi okay?" Laurence asked and I and Aaron looked at each other.
"Yeah... just... she just needs some time alone." Aaron tried to explain.
"But she's okay?"
I grimaced. "Uh, yeah. But I wouldn't bother her. She's just walking around... in a demonic rampage... again."
Laurence looked confused.
"Well, you already know Andi's parents died when she was young."
Laurence nodded.
"Well, she was 1 when they died. A widow took care of her until she could go to the orphanage."
Laurence continued to listen.
"So Andi never knew her biological parents and apparently, one of her parents was a demon and one was a human. So every once in a while, she just gets upset and, poof, she's in her demonic form, which she hates."
"So Andi's a demon?"
I nodded.
"I knew this guy back in Metalli who is like that. He's Andi's age too."
I smiled. "Maybe they can get together. Ooh!"
Laurence looked down and nodded. "He's a nice guy, but he can be a little perverted at times."
I rolled my eyes. "What's with you guys? Always with the dirty minds. That's why I love Garroth. He isn't like that!"
"What? I heard my name." Garroth stood next to me.
"Nothing." I kissed his cheek and a light blush formed on his face.
I smiled. "That's the Garroth I know and love."
He smiled and kissed me. He gently pressed me up against the castle wall.
"Oh my Irene... this again?" Aphmau laughed before Laurence grabbed her hand and kissed her.
AARON'S POV
I looked away as Laurence kissed Aph. I bit my bottom lip and I noticed Andi standing in the large entry way, glaring at Laurence's back.
I knew she really liked him, but I don't know if Laurence knows. I saw Andi disappear into the castle again.
Laurence pulled away from Aph.
"That didn't feel right..." Aphmau said and Laurence nodded. "It didn't..."
I looked over and Aphmau was looking at me.
"Sorry, Laurence, but I feel more like your sibling, than the person you're dating."
Laurence nodded. "Same." Laurence hugged Aph. "Umm, I'll be back in a bit."
Laurence ran off into the castle.
I smiled.
Sounds good to me.
ANDI'S POV
Well, there's a first time for everything, right? A first love, a first kiss, a first heartbreak...
I walked through the Scaleswind castle's hallways. I looked down at my feet, thinking.
Suddenly, I ran into someone. "S-sorry." I mumbled
Their hands were placed on my arms. I looked up and my eyes widened before I looked back down.
"I thought you were making out with Aphmau." I mumbled and pulled out of Laurence's grip.
Laurence grabbed the back of his neck with his hand and he grimaced. "I was wondering if you'd like to continue what we started a few days ago."
I looked up and studied his face. His light blue eyes and floppy brown hair. I smirked. "What do you think?"
Laurence smirked. "Yep." He placed he hands on the wall on either side of me, trapping me.
"Smart. Otherwise I would have made you chase me."
Laurence smirked again. "Well, I am rather smart. I mean, I did choose you after all."
He leaned in and placed his lips on mine. My hands automatically went around his neck and locked in place. He nipped at my lip and I smiled into our kiss.
Gradually, his hands floated down to my waist where he held me in place.
I smiled.
This felt right.
YOUR POV
I turned to my parents. "I and Garroth will have to bring the twins to Thurmond soon."
My father smiled. "We'll be looking forward to that."
I smiled and looked over at my fiancé. "Let's go home.
Hey Guys.
As you know, I'm home-schooled, so my laptop was taken sense I'm done with school for this year. Sense I don't have my own computer anymore, I probably won't be able to update to often. :/
The next chapter is a... very IMPORTANT chapter, so it might take a while to write.
Thanks for reading!
