GARROTH'S POV

"Okay, so you and Laurence will hold the portal open. I, Aaron, Aphnau and Andi are going to go in."

(Y/n) nodded along with everyone else.

We had started planning our trip to the Nether about two weeks ago. We were finally going to try getting in.

"Ready?" Andi asked.

Everyone nodded.

Laurence and (Y/n) stood in front of us, getting ready to open the portal.

We were outside of Phoenix Drop in the woods.

Zoey was watching Ophelia and Finn while Dale, along with Dante, watched over the village in Aphmau's place.

"OK, we're going to try..." (Y/n) breathed.

I waited with Aaron, Aphmau, and Andi behind them. I watched as they focused their energy together in one spot. We waited.

After a few minutes, red sparks appeared in the air.

"Here we go..." Andi bit her lip.

All of a sudden, an explosion sent me flying back as well as the others.

When I stood up, (Y/n) and Laurence were still standing, focusing on the portal in front of them, both of them on their shadow knight forms.

Laurence was breathing heavily.

Andi stood up and went over to him. "You OK?" She breathed.

He nodded, tired.

She kissed him lightly on the cheek.

Laurence was to use his energy to open the portal and (Y/n) would keep it open.

Closing it wasn't a problem.

AARON'S POV

"Ow..."

I sat up and moved over by Aphmau. "You OK?"

"Yeah..."

I helped her up before noticing the ginormous portal in front of us."Woah..."

"Is that the portal?"

Andi nodded grimly. "That's it. I've only seen it once in my life before..." She trailed off.

I nodded. "Let's go."

YOUR POV

I watched everyone go through the portal, disappearing one after one.

Garroth kissed my cheek. "I'll be back in a few hours. Stay strong."

I nodded.

Andi hugged Laurence before turning to Garroth. "Come on."

Garroth nodded.

Before going into the portal, he looked back. "I love you."

"I love you too." I murmured, trying not to break my concentration.

He walked through, disappearing.

~2 HOURS LATER~

Laurence was shaking and breathing heavily. Sweat beaded his forehead.

"Take a break."

"No...Garroth would kill me if I did."

"Andi will kill me if you don't."

He was quiet.

"Look, just a short break. Your shadow-energy is low. I can barely sense you."

"OK... I'll take a short break. But I'm not falling asleep."

I nodded.

Laurence slowly lowered his hand. He collapsed, his eyes closed.

My eyes widened. "Laurence?!"

He didn't respond.

I looked between him and the portal.

What do I do?!?

I focused on the portal.

I need to keep the portal open... I can't reopen it... Garroth where are you?!?
