Still in front of the library, hand in hands, eyes locked, bending down.

"I'm so sorry," apologized Brayden when he saw what was happening and all these eyes that were on them. By pulling his hand away.

"It's okay," she replied as if nothing never happened.

"I was so focused on the phone and I did not see you coming, and for rare beauty like you, I should have!!" Darcy's gaze remained fixed on him despite his attempts to explain.

These blue eyes did not left him not even for a second.

"Neither do I, I was so focus on my book... but it's okay,"

The all got up and finally she stop looking at him as if he was some sort of art.

He stepped back, grabbed something from the ground, and handed it to her on top of the books. "These glasses also belong to you, right?

Darcy took it from him, got lost once more before realizing what she was doing, and pulled herself together. "Yes, thank you!"

"Oh my goodness, I can not believe it happened to us!"

"What is it?" She asked

"This, I always seen this happened in the movies and then they fell in love right just after,"

Darcy appears puzzled.

"It's happening to us now, isn't it?" he continued

But then when she realized she began smiling, "What? You're so funny!'

THE PERSON ON THE PHONE Answeres.

"Initially, they always find it amusing."

They both started laughing.

"Dad that's it, you're done." He exclaimed

'Hey, I'm telling you guys the truth it's almost happened to your mother and I," Continued Brayden's father.

BRAYDEN went quietly

"Not this again," as if this is an usual thing between his parents and him.

And Darcy started laughing and couldn't stop.

BRAYDEN'S DAD kept going...

Except that he placed the phone behind him, making it appears inaudible.

"Ok, ok, dad got Ya, I got to go now. We will talk later," he quickly hangs up, having had enough of him and his romantic stories that no one wants to hear.

Especially when it involves two people whom he refers to as Parents.

"Where were we again?" He went directly to the point.

"You were going to tell me your name?!" Mumbled Darcy while fixing her hair behind her ear.

"Oh yes, I remember now"

Darcy smirked as he carried on

"I'm Brayden, I believe you Barbie!!"

DARCY chuckled, then quickly tried to hide her laughter with her hand.

"No, I'm Darcy! but good one... nice to meet you Brayden,"

"Likewise, Darcy...beautiful name!" He did not waste his time and gave another compliment.

DARCY fell under his charms and blushed then went

"Thanks...You are new here, correct?

"Yes, and I am also new to this town. My family just bought a new house downtown, so they forced me to move with them, and things got a little complicated at my previous college," he explained.

"Are you still living with them?"

"Not anymore, they be annoying at times, I could not take it any longer, so I moved out with my best friend Danny, who is also in that college," he added.

"I feel you! every parent is annoying at that stage." She remarked

Brayden scoffed "The wealthy ones are the worst!"

"So, Danny is your best friend, huh?"

"Yes, we grew up together, at this Stage we more like brothers" he comfirmed "You were heading to the library, right? when all that happened to us, you know.."

"Yes, I was about to hand over those books... I think I should keep going now," she decided

But Brayden, being the gentleman he was, was not going to let a lady who was clearly in distress carry all of these books on her own.

So he offered up "Let me help you,"

"If you don't have somewhere to be," She did not refused his help as she should.

And hoped that their conversation would continue as she tried to get to know him better.

"Actually, I have, but my offer still stands. I am going to help you first, then I am going to see my mother, who has asked me to come over and help her with something. "Hopefully it is not doing laundry or cooking, because I am helpless in these areas," he jested.

DARCY smiled. "Okay, let us do this."

Darcy escorted him out after they returned the books to the librarian, and they continued to talk all the way until they reached the door.

"I should leave now; should we continue this conversation another day?" He proposed

"Yeah, good idea...and I can not thank you enough for making me smile and assisting me today,"

Brayden grinned, "Anytime!!"

Here comes Chloe and Ruby.

As BRAYDEN continues, "You have not seen anything yet."

"Oh yeah!"

Chloe appeared out of nowhere, pretending to have walked into them by accident and interrupted them. "Hey guys, what's poppin?"

"Hey, Chloe... Ruby," rambled Brayden

DARCY was surprised by him identified each of them just like that.

"So, you guys know each other?"

"I should ask you the same question?!" Chloe inquired sarcastically.

"Yes, we just met beside Brayden was about to leave," she reminded him, and Brayden skedaddled out of there.

"Yeah, I have to go guys, so maybe another time?"

After hearing that and seeing this scenario play out right in front of her eyes, Chloe knew what was going on and immediately stopped him. "No, no, no wait... you guys just met. I am sorry to interrupt you guys. Ruby and I will get going and let you guys finish and perhaps get to know each other better."

She cast a quick glance at Ruby.

Ruby noticed this and tried to get her back as she nodded repeatedly, "Mmm, mmm,"

Darcy and Brayden started speaking at the same time. Attempting to explain themselves.

"No," yelled Darcy.

"Yes!!" And when he realized she said no to that, he double-checked himself and lost a little hope. "I mean, we should finish this tomorrow, if you do not mind of course."

"Yes, I would love to. But you also said earlier that your mom said she needed your help, and you were about to go and help her, so I said no," she blurted.

Brayden appears puzzled.

"I mean no for today, but yes...damn it, I am screwing everything up, are not I?" She beamoned.

Ruby and Chloe both nodded simultaneously.

She then smoothing her voice and try to worder correctly what she wanted to say; "Never mind everything I just said...and yes, I would like us to finish what we started."

"Tomorrow!" Darcy quickly pointed out.

"sound good to me!" Brayden responded that despite being in a hurry and having somewhere to go, he was very patient and calm with them.

BRAYDEN to CHLOE and RUBY

"Well time to run, friends!" He blurted while making the peace sign.

BRAYDEN to DARCY

"Darcy, it was a pleasure!! see you tomorrow," He kisses her hand before running away.

"Same, see you tomorrow!" Darcy flushed.

After Brayden's left, the sweet and lovely moment seems to shifted as Darcy lost her temper.

"Damn it, Chloe, what was that?"

Chloe started acting all confused and reliable "What?

But Darcy, the astute girl she was, saw through her and knew what she was up to.

"Pretend like you're confused, I told you not with him,"

"This wasn't the rules, Tho; our condition was I Choose the player and that's it. Just like you did for me...it was not like you could pick whoever you wanted; if that was the case, this game would have been unplayable!" Squawked Chloe.

revealing her true self.

"Yeah, you right. I also remember you forced me into playing with you because you were sad because of whatever happened to you and force me to accept those conditions, it wasn't like I had a choice. You were like..." She put on a mimicking expression, "Oh, that would be fun! Blah, blah, blah,"

"Yes, I remember all that. But it was enjoyable, was not it?"

"Why have you suddenly become obsessed with that game?" Darcy stood motionless, crossed her arms, and seemed frustrated.

"Because I love playing games, you know that better than everyone. Why do we gotcattached to phone, Tv and stuff like that?" She emoted, "Cause it is makes us forget, and for me this is my hobby, that is make me forget the past all those awful things that went by, and now you are ruining it for me, you and my mother keep ruining it."

She burst into tears.

Ruby saw this and rushed over to her, demonstrating her good heart and sense of responsibility to her friends.

Petting her softly on the back.

"Hey, it's okay. "I am here!"

She straightened up, still hand over her face and hugged Ruby.

"Can someone tell me what's going on in here?" Curiosity drove her to shout.

I am not sure what got into Darcy, but she put herself down and agreed to Chloe's nonsense so she could stop performing the act: "Okay, okay. I am sorry, I didn't mean to..."

Chloe stops her in her tracks as she approaches them; "You stay away from me," she says, pointing at her while her face remains glued to Ruby's chest.

Darcy stoped and apologizes "I said I'm sorry...okay, I'll play only because I didn't know that you and your mom still not in good terms, and arrived at the point that she messed your whole mood. Which we spent the entire summer trying to build!"

"And now you," she pointed once more.

"Sincerly regret this, I'll play!!"

Chloe fix her face and looks her way, "Okay, my rules?!"

Darcy shrugged "Yes, your rules but It'll also be my last game I play with you," she decided.

Chloe dashed forward and embraced Darcy firmly.

"Aw, thank you!! you'll really do that for me,"

"I guess," she politely answered.

"Alright then, I forgive you.. bestie!"

"Thanks Chloe!!"

Chloe then reaches into her bag, grabs her make-up box, and begins reapplying. "Okay, that is enough; you will start tomorrow!"

"But remember it will be the last time" Darcy got close to her face and pressed one finger against her.

"Yes, yes, yes, I heard ya!" She returned her make-up box and pushed the bag back to Ruby before placing both of her hands on her side, displaying her well-groomed nails as if she were about to fly like a butterfly.

"Now I have to run, girls."

"Tomorrow," Chloe shouted, but DARCY had already moved away from them.

CHLOE jumps enthusiastically.

"That's going to be fun,"

"I don't think that's sound fun to her," commented Ruby

"I do not think I asked for your opinion either, so please remind me when I do!" Rashly suggested Chloe and went away, leaving her standing all by herself.

"Ouch,"

"Next time mind your own business," she added on her way.

Ruby simply swallowed her spit and whispered "Mmm, I'm sorry,"

"Yes, you should" Insists Chloe

Ruby stood still, trying to process what had just happened in front of her. And CHLOE was already quite far away from her.

A few minutes later, when she realized Ruby was not next to her, she turned around and called her name.

"Will you be coming or not? Hello, Earth is calling Ruby!" She snapped several times.

"Oh shoot. Yes, I'm coming" she ran with her heels clacking on the ground with each steps.
