Task Two: Betrayal

Moans echoed through the darkened corridor. Anastasia pulled her knees to her chest. The she-elf hated Zeref and his minions. There had to be a way out. Since, learning that Brandish had Keely, she dreamed of nothing more than freeing the dwarf. Rising to her feet, the princess of Murkwood had determination in her eyes. She purposed to free him and end this suffering.

Boots echoed; Anastasia raced through the corridors. Pulling a sword from her scabbarded, she was ready for someone to cross her. The she-elf considered herself a much better swordsmen then Eletta. Anastasia gripped the hilt tight.  A man with messy black hair appeared before her. HIs cloths were tattered. His eyes so blue they burned through her. "Why did you attack Gondor? I thought we were friends." The man spoke.

Tears stained Anastasia's eyes. "It wasn't my choice!" She sliced through him. As quickly as the man appeared, he vanished. The elf continued. She didn't know where she was going. She didn't care. As long as it got her home and away from the black wizard. Large spiders that could fill the halls began rustling towards her.

A spider traveled on the ceiling, while the other, behind her. Gritting her teeth, Anastasia jumped in the air, spun swiftly, sliced the spider on the ceiling in the back, before stabbing the follower in the back. Both spiders squealed before collapsing and turning to dust. The she-elf place her sword back in her hilt. Something wasn't right. First Arathorn showed up now giant spiders from the Murkwoof forest.

On the left, a door slide open. A figured walked over then leaned against the door post. "Where are you going, matey?" Eletta inquired. Anastasia glanced inside her room. The room resembled that of a captain's quarter on a ship. Irene had given every prisoner a room designed after their living quarters proved they obey Zeref with no fuss.

"I'm going to the cells and freeing Keely. Then going back to Middle Earth."

"I wouldn't do that if I where you, Mate."

"Why shouldn't I?"

"Listen, I plan on over throwing Elizabeth Turner as Pirate King. I can't do that on my own Mate. I need Zeref's and his minions help. You will not ruin that for me. You don't want to mess with a pirate, savey?"

The she-elf rolled her eyes. "I'll do, what I please. I'm a princess who out ranks pirates." Anastasia headed down the hallway once more.

***********

A smirk pulled at Eletta's lips. If the elf thinks she can take away her future, she can forget it. The pirate spun on her heals; tracked back in her room. Heels clicked against the floors. The pirate forgot to mention she had a guest in her room. Sitting at a table, placed in the center of the room, sat a woman with green hair, wearing a bikini with a brown coat. "So, Brandish, did you hear that?"

Brandish sipped her tea before gazing up at Eletta with her emerald green eyes. "Every word."

***********

Gritting her teeth, Artemis flew past Bernard. Her wings sparkled in the sunlight. Azeel, along with a blonde wearing gold armor with red felt, watched the duo, fight. Artemis twirled her flute, placed it against her lips, then began playing a soft melody. Bernard and Artemis neared each other. Pulling up, Artemis flung her flute towards the centaur. Purple half curves shout towards him. Bernard ducked under the first set then hit by the second.

Landing on the ground, Artemis ran after him. Her flute rested behind her. Zeref found out that Bernard had never fought against wizards before. The Empire had the dragon and the centaur fighting against one another. Artemis turned her hand into a claw then speed past Bernard. The dragon dragged her claw across his chest.

Bernard collapsed to the ground. Sweat beaded his forehanded, he panted heavily.  Artemis hovered above him. "You went down like a chump. My sister can fight better than you!" With that, she flew off into the castle.

Screams echoed through the halls. Cassandra sat in her room telling herself stories of Starlight. Images danced around her as she talked. The screams grew louder; breaking her concentration. The starlighter stood and went to her door. As she opened it, she saw Anastasia, being dragged through the halls. She had been turned into a small pixie. Brandish gripped her tightly.

Cassandra watched the elf bang against Brandish's hand to release her. Brandish just squeezed tighter. The elf glared at her. The starlighter followed. Brandish brought her before Zeref. The girl through her on floor. The elf grew  to her normal size. "Zeref," she began, "This one was caught escaping."

The king Spriggan glared at the Elf. "How did you find out?"

"The pirate told me."

Eletta walked in from another door. "That's right, I told her she would regret that."

Zeref nodded. "Very well. I do believe Invel can handle her."

At the mention of his name, Cassandra watched a male with white hair and blue cloths step forward. "I will gladly take over her punishment." The man pushed his glasses up his nose then glanced side ways at Eletta. "With the help of one other." Invel faced her. "Eletta, how do pirates treat those under them who disobeyed?"

"We kill them."

Invel smirked. Cassandra gulped, she didn't like the sound of that. The ice mage pointed at the Elf. "Eletta, help her stand." Shrugging, the pirate did as she was told. The elf swat her hand back, Cassandra knew Anastasia thought she was a traitor. Eletta grabbed her hand anyways and yanked her up. "Now, the fun begins." Invel stated. Chains made of ice wrapped themselves around both their necks, connecting the two girls.

"What are you doing?" Eletta growled.

"Pirates fight to the death, so I want you two to fight to the death or let you mind be consumed by darkness."

Eletta starred into Anastasia's eyes. "I will not lose." She grumbled drawing her sword.

"Neither shall I." The elf remarked; drawing her's.

Eletta made the first move. She jumped as high as the chain allowed, and slashed her opponent. Anastasia, recoiled her arm and the swords collided. The she-elf was pushed back from the impact. Eletta grumbled, pulled her sword away from the elf's and jabbed upwards from underneath. Anastasia blocked once more.

The pirate let go of her sword, swung her fist towards her. Anastasia stepped out of the way. The pirate lost her balance. Both girls fell due to the chain. After a few more bouts, the girls stood facing each other panting. Their swords pointed at one another.
