Calvin Flashed His Dick In My Condo.

Three months and one scarcely successful mock trial later, Shara strolled through Preppy Baby Boutique searching for a gift to give to her ex lover's wife.

The pain of her separation from Vance lessened as she watched her former roommate blossom into her pending role of motherhood.

She stealthily kept track of Calvin's adventures, surprised many were completed, alone. Her lack of interest slowly morphed into a seething desire to discover if what he had shared with her that one strange day was really his truth. She giggled as she scrolled through his social media pages, entertained by his #goldyngirl and the thousands of questions asking him what he meant by it.

Deena nudged her arm. "What about this one?"

"Yeah." She responded half haphazardly. "That's cute."

"You sure you're okay with going to her baby shower?"

"Why wouldn't I be? I've accepted his choice, and Vance hasn't batted an lash since Calvin flashed his dick in my condo."

"I would've loved to be a fly on your wall for two reasons that day." Deena daydreamed while massaging the stuffed lion tail in her grasp.

"Well, I'm glad it happened. Lord only knows how bitter I would be if I would've fallen for Vance's fuckery again. As crazy as that entire event was, it actually worked out for the better. But I won't ever admit that to anyone other than you."

"So you don't regret letting Cali Cal walk out of your life?"

"We smashed and vibed for like a day. Let's be honest. Was he ever really in it?"

"So, you're just going to keep stalking him, I guess."

"Is it stalking, though? Maybe I'm simply another fan."

"Another fan my ass. I bet you know where he is right now."

"Well, duh, doesn't everyone? He's getting ready for the Excellence awards as we speak."

"Like I said, another fan my ass."

Following their shopping expedition and usual Sunday brunch, Shara returned home, donned her favorite sweats, plastered on her favorite face mask, then popped the cork on a dusty bottle of vintage red wine.

Focusing on law school since before her acceptance had kept her head tucked into the sand, at least until she experienced a crazy 24 hours with a celebrity she hadn't known, but now couldn't forget.

His occasional text to say he was thinking of her always made her smile, but she still wasn't fond of being tricked into spending time with a man she naturally would have gravitated to anyway. So, she never replied.

As celebrities all dressed to the nines began to walk the red carpet. She admitted that she was looking forward to seeing Calvin as he absorbed his time in the spotlight. She also crossed her fingers and toes for an extra dose of juju that he would still be alone.

As the pre-award shows continued, she watched and waited, intermittently scrolling through his silent social media feeds. Tempted to check up on him, she began to type a reply to a week old text, but changed her mind before she could press send.

She was a fan like anyone else, and convinced herself she would be patient even though she was on pins and needles in anticipation of seeing his smile again. As the event began, buzzes of concern about his whereabouts started surfacing among his fans and the media.

"Maybe I should call." She muttered towards the phone in her hand.

Moment's later, a light tap alerted her that the food she ordered had arrived. Nibbling on a celery stick, she grabbed a few dollars from her tip jar, then trotted to her front door.

Slinging it open, she smiled beneath her cracking cucumber mask, accepted her food, provided her tip, then closed the door. As she rummaged through her bag, she noticed her favorite tzatziki sauce was missing.

Hoping to catch the delivery guy before he reached the elevator, she propped open her door, then dashed down the hall, soon to be disappointed that she was too late.

Shara checked social media as she took a slower walk back to her condo. According to reports, Cali Cal was still M.I. A. Growing concerned, she plopped onto her couch and tried to talk herself out of calling the man she thought about, but had ignored for months.

After losing her own argument, she scrolled to Calvin's number and pressed send before she could change her mind. Holding her breath, her eyes sprung open when the phone rang. Looking around, she muttered. "The hell?"

The echo of rings from her balcony lured her like a siren's call. Finding Calvin with a container of tzatziki sauce in his hand made her chest heavy and her knees buckle.

"Looking for this?" He offered with a smile.

"Calvin, what are you doing here?"

"You didn't know I had a side gig delivering sauces?"

"You really are a psychopath."

"And you should really stop propping your door open. I could've been a serial killer or a thief."

"Well, apparently, you've stolen my heart. So, maybe you should add that to your resume."

His smile warmed her through and through.

"I missed you, goldyn girl."

"And to my surprise, I've missed you, jackass. But what about the awards?"

"I recorded an acceptance speech on the flight here."

"But, why are you here? You've been tweeting about this night for months."

"The only person I want to spend this night with is standing in front of me. And the only award I need is you."

"Calvin." Shara screeched as she wiped a tear and realized her face was covered in dried, mint green plaster. "Oh shit." She shouted before running to the bathroom.

"You look fine." He laughed as he called out behind her. "Your face matches my socks."

Barely amused, she frantically scrubbed her skin. "I'm going to kill you."

When she emerged from the bathroom, Calvin's category was next. He had removed his tux, was clad in boxers and a wife beater. He patted the cushion next to him, ignoring his phone vibrating on the coffee table.

"Are you hiding out again?"

"Nope. I'm right where I need to be."

Their passionate kiss lingered beyond his name not being called.

"I'm sorry you didn't win." Shara whispered as she snuggled into the crook of his arm.

"I will, soon." He announced.

"You sound confident."

"I am. I found you didn't I?"

"And now that you have, where are we supposed to go from here?"

"We'll see." Calvin declared as he switched off the tv, then spent a second night with his one night stand.

The media frenzy following Calvin's loss and missed award show appearance paled in comparison to his smile and new hashtag, mygoldyngirl.

Desiring to finish law school in peace, Shara opened her mind to dating a celebrity, but chose to remain in the shadows.

It wasn't long before Calvin's comedy career changed in front of the world's eyes. Whenever he walked onto a stage, he would smile at his new lover, clandestine among droves of adoring his fans. He would then raise his hand, prompting the crowds to calm prior to speaking one suddenly infamous line.

"You know this thing called love has a funny story."
