Part 8: The Dance

/Yamaguchi's p.o.v./

After dinner it was time for my dreaded waltzing lessons to start. My parents and Flora were talking and cleaning up in he kitchen, and we could still see them slightly from the small doorway that connected to the living room.

"Alright, you have to get the basic steps right before we even think about putting it to music." Tsuki started off emotionlessly. He then stepped toward me taking my hands in his, and pulling me toward him lightly. "So this is the basic position." He placed one of my hands on his shoulder, and then raised the other into the air gently resting it in his palm, and folding his fingers along the top of it.

I fought off the blush trying to creep onto my cheeks, and tried to scowl at him. To which he responded with a smug smile.

"Good now just follow me." He said as he took a step back, then to the side, and to the other. "One, two, three."

In turn I stepped trying to keep up with him.

"Straighten up." He muttered, and I automatically stood up with better posture.

"If I did that then you wouldn't be marrying me." I couldn't help but joke.

He chuckled slightly and shook his head. "Shut up Yamaguchi. Focus."

"Sorry Tsuki." I couldn't help but let a smile tug at my lips. He actually laughed... kinda...and it wasn't sarcastic. I felt my heartbeat pounding in my chest.

We were stepping around the living room for a while And I almost got the hang of it... almost... sometimes I'd step wrong, or awkwardly tug the wrong way, Tsuki had to save me from crashing into furniture at times. All in all I sucked, but I already knew that before we started. Still with Tsuki teaching it was a bit easier. After a while, and I have no idea how, but it was like I was beginning to read his steps before he even made them...

"Seems like your getting the hang of it. Now, don't be so stiff." He used the hand he had on my waist to pull me a bit closer and then moved it to tilt my chin up to meet his gaze. "And don't look to your feet, you have meet your partner's eyes." He gently placed the hand back to its proper position making sure it grazed my cheek lightly on the way.

I blushed and my throat went dry, I felt like I couldn't say anything even if I wanted to.

When we turned a certain way I could see my stepdad watching us intently from the kitchen peering through the small entryway as he dried the dishes. His scowl grew a little more as Tsuki adjusted our position.

"So you finally noticed him watching us huh?" Tsuki asked. "He really is so protective of you. Do you think I'm making him angry?"

"I don't know if I'd say he's angry." I actually managed to speak quietly.

He stepped even closer to me, so close that we were almost pressed against each other, and our noses were only centimeters apart as he stared into my eyes. "How about now?"

My breathing hitched in my throat, I stopped moving my feet, and stepped away from him, suddenly feeling lightheaded. "Um, I think we should stop for today."

He let go and gave me my space the flirtatious smile still residing on his face. "It is getting late anyway, I should probably get home."

"O-okay I'll see you tomorrow then." I nodded quietly, not able to look him in the face.

"Goodnight Yama, get some rest." He replied simply before turning and walking out of the room and out the door.

I watched him form the window as he left.

This feeling... I know what it is. I don't think I've ever felt it this strongly before, but I've heard of it.

I'm falling in love...

The next few days went as they all do. Go to class, get threatened to be beat to death, have fun at practice with my new friends, go on the awkward train ride home, and then have dinner with Tsuki and the family.

Today was another dance lesson, but to be honest I don't know if I really need the practice. However today my father had his business partner over and they were having a meeting in the living room. Me and Tsuki were in my bedroom.

Alone...
And now we were putting it to music.
And I was already extremely flustered.
And I'm pretty sure he could tell.
Great...
End me, please.

"I-I'm starting to feel dizzy..." trailed off as we stopped.

"Sorry I guess we've been spinning too much." He didn't pull his hands away.

Yeah spinning, that's it. "Maybe we should stop then." I suggested trying to pull away my hands.

However he stopped me, looping his arm around my waist and keeping me close. He kept my hand secured in his grip. "Doesn't mean you have to let go."

"Wh-what?" I stuttered. He was teasing me again, I know he was, I could tell by that signature smug look on his face. But after realizing my feelings now, I really wish he'd stop this. But at the same time... his touch is so warm an inviting. I almost don't want him to let go...

"It so much fun to make you embarrassed." He gave a sarcastic chuckle. Then he took my hand and brought it to caress his own cheek. "You can stand to touch me you know, technically we are engaged. If you keep keep being evasive people may think you're too unhappy."

I felt my fingers twitch slightly against the soft skin of his face. His hand resting against the back of mine sent sparks throughout my body. "I-I'm not being evasive." I defended.

"So what then?" He whispered teasingly tickling my wrist with his breath. "Don't tell me you're just being coy?" He then turned his head bringing his lips to kiss the side of my hand. "There's really no need to be."

I froze, my body almost like it was in shock. I found myself unable to refuse him over the large lump that formed in my throat... not that I'd even want to. How is he so good at flirting?

He then turned my hand over lightly in his and kissed my knuckles, much like the first time my mother introduced me to him. Then he brought his lips the the center of my hand, and to my wrist, then slowly trailing up my forearm. Each kiss only becoming that much more electrifying, and after each one he looked up to see how much more flustered I was becoming.

It was infuriating, but intoxicating all the same.

Tsuki stopped when the sound of the doorknob being restricted by the lock sounded, seeming to echo through the room.

"Tadashi?" It was my stepdad's voice, and he didn't sound amused. "My meetings over, come back down stairs now."

This time I did pull away from Tsuki. "Alright we'll be right down." I'm so glad I locked the door out of force of habit, even if my stepdad is a little upset about it. It would have been much worse if he had just walked in. "We should go before he seriously does get pissed. I don't think he likes the idea of you being in my room." I walked over to the door, trying to act normal despite completely exploding inside.

"I can't imagine why." Tsuki smirked in a deep voice as he followed close behind me.

I quickly opened the door and started my way down the stairs, a prominent blush on my face, and a heart beating so fast I swear it could fly out of my chest. Just the lingering thought of Tsuki's lips brushing against my skin made me want to spontaneously combust. The thought was more embarrassing than anything that's happened so far.

Seriously, end me.

Hey guys, woah it's getting all crazy! XD I hope you liked the new part. Tsuki is such a godamn tease! Lol. Poor Yama. Vote and comment, bye!
