There was a time when I was alone
Nowhere to go and no place to call home
My only friend was the man in the moon
And even sometimes he would go away too

"Oh, so this is Tommy's house," Ranboo commented as he walked alongside Tubbo to Tommy's place.

Apparently, there was this big 'going away party' going on for one of Tommy's older brothers.

Tubbo nodded. "Yep! Uh, really quick though, I know you probably won't, but don't make fun of Techno or Fundy about anything. Don't make fun of their names or appearances. Again, I know you probably won't, but just in case."

Ranboo nodded. "I won't trust me."

Then one night, as I closed my eyes
I saw a shadow flying high
He came to me with the sweetest smile
Told me he wanted to talk for a while
He said, "Peter Pan, that's what they call me
I promise that you'll never be lonely"
And ever since that day

"Ranboo, this is Techno, Wilbur, Tommy, their adoptive father, Phil, his wife, Kristin, and Wilbur's son, Fundy." Tubbo introduced, gesturing to each person respectively. "Guys, this is Ranboo."

They all said their greetings.

I am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored, we play in the woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
"Run, run, Lost Boy", they say to me
"Away from all of reality"
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free

So far, the party was calm for the most part. The adults were gathered in one spot, and the teens (plus Fundy) were gathered in another spot on the opposite side of the room.

"I still can't believe that prick adopted you," Tommy muttered, watching Fundy play with Ranboo.

Tubbo rolled his eyes. "I told you this a year and a half ago, Tommy. You should be used to it by now."

"But we could've been brothers if that lawyer guy didn't adopt you!" Tommy whined.

"You could still come and visit me. We could actually plan a sleepover one of these days. I'm sure Schlatt would love you."

Tommy rolled his eyes. "Yeah, right. I'm not going to speak to the devil anytime soon."

"Schlatt isn't that bad of a guy, Tommy." Ranboo butt in. "He's actually really nice, like, genuinely."

Tommy rolled his eyes. "Of course, you would know."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Ranboo said defensively.

Tubbo sighed as the two started bickering immediately.

He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe
Believe in him and believe in me
Together, we will fly away in a cloud of green
To your beautiful destiny
As we soared above the town that never loved me
I realized I finally had a family
Soon enough, we reached Neverland
Peacefully, my feet hit the sand
And ever since that day

Dinner was very quiet.

Techno didn't understand why Tommy and Tubbo refused to talk to each other since they hardly ever fought, but he decided to not push it.

He assumed that no one else wanted to fill the void of silence, so that's why everyone else was in a piss-poor mood while eating his favorite meal.

And as much as he enjoyed peace and quiet, it was suffocating him.

"Why is everyone so quiet today?" Techno asked, finally breaking the suffocating silence. "I did not want my last day in this realm to be a sad one."

Tommy was the next one to speak up, his voice broken with tears he refused to let fall. "Because we don't want you to go..."

Techno frowned. "Tommy, you know why—"

"Yeah, of course, I know why. That doesn't mean I like it though. With you gone, I'll be all alone."

"What about me!?" Tubbo shouted, causing everyone to jump. "I'm still here!"

"You left me for that asshole!" Tommy gestured to the third teenager—Ranboo, he thinks his name was.

"I literally didn't, we talk all the time, still!"

"Bullshit!"

And now Techno saw as to why the table was silent beforehand.

"KIDS, HUSH!" Phil snapped, immediately quieting Tubbo and Tommy. Phil huffed. "Techno is right. We should enjoy this family time, not fight throughout it."

The teens nodded.

Later that night, Techno sat on the rooftop, watching the night sky. It was about 11 pm at that point, but he didn't want to sleep.

Nobody did.

He didn't turn to look to see who joined him on the roof.

"The stars are pretty tonight, aren't they?"

That was Wilbur's voice.

Techno nodded. "You should see them in the other world. There's no light pollution, so the stars are even brighter."

Wilbur laughed, shuffling so he sat right beside his brother. It was then that Techno noticed the guitar in his lap.

"What, are you gonna sing me a lullaby?"

"Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?"

Techno laughed, shaking his head.

"I actually wanted to play a certain song...if you don't mind, of course."

"Wil, you know I don't mind. I mean—we're your biggest fans, Tommy and me."

Wilbur flushed slightly from the compliment as he got his guitar ready.

"Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy Darling
Even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook
Neverland, I love you so
You are now my home sweet home
Forever a Lost Boy at last"

Techno turned as he heard another join them on the roof.

This time, it was Tommy.

An exhausted-looking Tommy that looked like he just rolled out of bed—but Tommy nonetheless.

"Did you just roll out of bed or somethin'?" Techno asked half-jokingly.

Tommy sat in-between Techno and Wilbur and put his head on Techno's shoulder sleepily. "Shut the fuck up."

"Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy Darling
Even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook
Neverland, I love you so
You are now my home sweet home
Forever a Lost Boy at last
And for always, I will say"

Not long after, Phil joined his sons on the rooftop, sitting on the other side of Wilbur.

It was peaceful.

It was his family.

But it wasn't home.

"I am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored, we play in the woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
"Run, run, Lost Boy", they say to me
"Away from all of reality"

Techno felt Tommy's weight being put on him as the teen dozed off.

Techno sighed, repositioning the two of them so that Tommy was sleeping peacefully (and comfortably) in Techno's lap.

He could hear Phil's quiet 'aww'.

"Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free"

Four men sitting on the rooftop.

None of them are normal.

Three of them are brothers.

None of them are related.

Two of them aren't even fully human.

One of them fucked a fish hybrid and had a fox hybrid for a son.

Hell, the only 'semi-normal' one is the youngest.

Yet they all love each other.

Techno eyed the locket that hung around his little brother's neck for his entire life, never being opened.

He gently grabbed the locket, opening the pendant.

On the right side of the pendant was a picture of a baby Tommy with what Techno assumed his birth parents, considering that they had some of the same traits as the teen.

On the left side was a picture of a young Tommy—a bit older than a baby, but clearly about a year younger than he was when Timothy dropped him in Phil's arms—sitting beside a small child about the same age as him. Both of their faces were messy from seemingly spaghetti sauce. The other child had brownish eyes—it was still in the middle of transitioning from an infant's grey eyes—and brown hair just long enough to have a boyish type of cut to it.

Tommy was wearing a black-and-red striped shirt with overalls. He was holding a teddy bear that was as big as he was.

The other kid was wearing a light blue shirt with a cartoonish bee image on it with the phrase 'Bee Happy' underneath with baby jeans. He was holding a bee plush that was about the size of his small torso.

A bee plush that he recognized from the many times Tubbo spent the night at their house.

Never stop being friends, boys.

It'd be a shame to lose a lifelong friendship like that.
