Techno was gone.

No one could find him anywhere. He wasn't in his room. He wasn't with the two friends he had.

Nobody knew where he could be.

"Maybe he just ran off to blow off some steam," Ranboo suggested. "He is an adult, after all."

"But Techno doesn't just run off like that, especially without telling us," Tubbo argued, smacking his textbook frustratingly.

Ranboo shrugged. "I'm sure there's a reason why he's not here."

Tubbo sighed, putting his head down on the table. "You're probably right....it's still very weird for him, though. He normally doesn't just...vanish...like that."

All the memories hit him like a freight train when he woke up.

Both from his alternate time in his world and from the world he currently rests in.

It's almost at a point where he doesn't know which memories are from where.

"I've made a decision," Techno announced that morning. "I'm going back home for a while. About a week, maybe. But I'm going to come back here. Not because I don't love or miss my family or anythin'โ€”but because I've never felt like I belonged until I stumbled into this realm...I want to learn more about this worldโ€”more about myself. I'll tell my family the situation. And besides, it's like you said, Phil, I can always visit them."

Karl nodded. "Alright then, let me tell you what you need to do."

Techno came back around six in the afternoon, his hair a mess and several bags under his eyes.

Wilbur, Fundy, Tommy, Kristin, and Phil were in the middle of dinner when he walked through the door. When he did, he calmly walked over to the dinner table, grabbed a whole ass baked potato, and started eating it whole as he hugged his brothers, father, and nephew tightly.

"What the hell was that for?" Tommy asked when Techno let him go.

Techno smiled softly. "No reason, I just miss you guys sometimes."

"Where have you been all day?" Wilbur asked as Techno sat down.

"It's...a very long story..."

"Huh, you're right, that was a long story." Was Tommy's first response after Techno finished explaining what happened the past few days.

Wilbur gave Tommy a glare before looking back to Techno. "What's the point of telling us? Instead of just letting us live in obliviousness?"

Phil frowned. "I think I know the answer."

Techno nodded. "I want to stay there. I can always come back and visit! It's justโ€”I don't feel like I belong here. I felt at home there, as strange as it is."

Tommy frowned. "But what if we miss you so much and want to visit you? We can't."

Kristen walked downstairs after putting Fundy to bed right as Techno asked "isn't Death technically a god?"

"Yes and no," Kristen replied, sitting with the rest of the boys. "While yes, Death is a god of sorts, Death also cannot be injured, and on the rare instance they are, they don't bleed, so, unfortunately, you can't ask Tim for help."

Tommy huffed. "That fuckin' sucks. What if we never see you again?"

Wilbur laughed softly. "I think Tommy wants to go with you, Techno."

Techno chuckled. "Even if he wanted to, he can't come. He's dead in that world, and he can't come back to life. Same with you, Wil. I don't want to risk anything."

Tommy frowned even more. "Well, remember to visit at least once a month, okay?"

Techno laughed softly. "Don't worry, Tommy, I will."
