-Flashback-

I stood quietly in my fathers office waiting to meet the newest member. I was maybe twelve at the time. up until then I would crawl in bed with Sasori-nii or uncle Kakuzu when I got scared at night. Father wouldn't allow me in bed or even in his and mothers room. I held my hand to my chest and hoped that the newest member would like me. I wasn't the best kunoichi in the world. That wasn't my plan. my plan was just like my fathers. World piece. Yes, I know. A foolish belief, yet it was mine. The new member stared at me with him almost completely emotionless eyes before looking to my father for an answer.

"Itachi Uchiha, This is Ryuuka. She is the Akatsuki's sweetheart. She will show you your room and the normal everyday schedule we have here. Keep in mind if you disobey these rules she will kill you on the spot." Itachi nodded his head before looking at me. I waved him along silently behind me. I greeted anyone we passed walking down the hall. Once my eyes landed on a drunk kisame I sighed and picked his sleeping form up. my strength seemed to surprise the boy.

Kisame was a regular drunk. It irratated mother how someone could act so recklessly around who she considered a child. Me. I rolled my eyes at my thoughts when I spotted Kakuzu walking our way. His threads making an ominous appearance. I smiled at him and, knowing what I was going to ask he took kisame off my shoulders. I thanked him and made my way to introduce Itachi to the rest of our wonderful family. We got along really well and he even told me his secrets. I wished to meet his brother. I wished to have a sibling like he did, but I kept my selfish wishes to myself. I trusted Itachi with my life and that is why I no longer went to the older akatsuki members for comfort. I found it in someone not even three years older than myself.

-flashback over-

I grabbed my bag and rolled back up my sleeping bag. We went on a mission and ran out of money and had not enough chakra to port back home. Itachi and I spent the night in the woods. We were practically inseparable. It freaked the newest member out how I hung out with Itachi. The blonde didn't know what it was like for us.  I had been told by mother that she wasn't my real mother nor father my father. that I was an orphan, but I still loved them.

"Come on, Ryuuka." Itachi said quietly. I nodded my head at him and smiled. We hopped in the trees just in time be not be noticed by a group of Genin and their Sensai, Hatake Kakashi. I watched quietly for a moment and turned to ask if that was Itachis brother to notice he was M.I.A. I growled to myself at his behavior and stashed my cloak in my pack revealing a pair of skinny jeans in the same pattern as my cloak and a red tanktop. Of course today would be the day I wore this. I sweatdropped at my own stupidity.

"Whoever you are, come out!" Hatake screamed. He didn't seem all too amused that on the way back to their village to see another person. I hopped down in front of them, landing softly on my Zoris. I had midnight black hair and all my hair did was compliment my outfit. Great, this is perfect. Hatake's eyes widened and he stood protectively in front of the children. I waved my hand at him lazily.

"I'm not going to attack, you know." He didn't let down his guard. I shook my head. "man, your just like my partner, a stick in the mud. although he does entertain me." I laughed silently to myself and disappeared from Hatake's view. I now stood in front of a boy who was taller than myself by maybe a half a foot to a foot. Hatake didn't seem to like having me so close to his students.

"Why are you here?" I shrugged and pointed to Sasuke.

"He isn't the last of his clan. He just looks like someone I kno-"

"Where is he?" I couldn't help but chuckle at the boys anger, and at this moment was directed to me.

"Not here. He's already reached my father giving him our mission report. Bye Hatake!" I performed a jutsu that transported me from that spot right next to Itachi in father's office. Itachi didn't bother reacting to me until I began to pout.

"I'm a freaking midget."
