|| π³πππ || β± They are carnivores, but will occasionally dine on the native plants. They are not against the idea of cannibalism, but everyone would prefer if that didn't happen.
|| π°ππππππ ππππππππ || β° Usually it depends on their diet. Pure proteins gives them a longer life, around 70,000 years. A mixed diet gets them a shorter lifespan, an average of 40,000. Pure plants rarely gets them over 10,000 years.
|| πππππ(π) πππππ || β± To be simple, Glancewings typically have a blend of light browns and greens molded together in their scales, making them blend in well with the misty treetops of their homes. Occasionally they might have some blueish hues.
|| π΄π’π πππππ(π) || β° All four of their eyes have one common color : Amber. However, it isn't out of the ordinary to have fully orange or brown eyes. There has only ever been one case of a black-eyed Glancewing, and they died soon after birth.
|| π·ππππ/ππππππ/ππππ π || β± While their claws are white, their layered horns are usually a dark pinecone-y brown. They don't have any spikes.
|| π±πππ’ πππππ || β° Much like a hyena, their back is an upward slope with their hind legs being the shortest and the front legs the longest. They are long and slender, perfect for winding through treetops with ease and taking large strides up and down bark.Β
|| πΎππππ ππππππππππ πππππππ || β± As previously stated, their horns grow in layers. This lets their horns break away easily if they very so please, like a gecko dropping its tail. They have large wings, not as big as a Skywing's, but they come in at second place. While the upper parts of their wings look totally normal, they reason they fit in so well in their continent is due to the false eyes they carry on the undersides of their wings.Β When fully stretched out, their wingspan looks like a large beast staring through the trees. Some have bigger eyes and others smaller ones, but even in the case of albinism, Glancewings ALWAYS have false eyes under their wings.
|| π°ππππππππ || β° Instead of breathing fire or having some amazing attack, these dragons have a more laid-back ability. Their skeleton is softer, and while they're more susceptible to attack, it makes them amazing at bouncing back when getting hit. Much like a cat, wherever their snout can fit, as long as it doesn't get slimmer along the way, they can fit. Which is why the main entrance to their palace is via the hollowed out trunk of a tree. Their wings can completely flatten, which makes one wonder how they do the things they do well. In the correct light, or in fog, by tilting their wings they can make it seem as if the false eyes are blinking.
|| πππππππ πππππππππ || β±Β They've never had an animus as far as they know, but it is possible due to being faintly related to an animus Hidewing. The token special ability of their tribe, though, is making their false eyes change color and hypnotize. Granted, it is extremely weak compared to the way native plants do it, but it usually isn't used on dragons anyway.
|| πππππππππ || β° They, like most of the native tribes, have developed an immunity to the hypnotizing chemicals the carnivorous plants and animals have evolved to use. They are also better at dealing with blunt force, having such a sturdy brain that it's nearly impossible for them to get a concussion and such rubbery bones that crashing and getting hit with blunt things don't hurt as much and won't break their bones.
|| ππππππππππ || β± While they're better at dealing with blunt force. They are much more susceptible to being scratched and bitten, which is why they make the thickest armor of any other native tribe. They're also, generally, much more flammable.Β
|| πΊππππππ'π ππππ || β° Kingdom of false security.
|| πΊππππππ'π ππππππππ || β± Located in the canopies of the forest of paranoia, their kingdom is consisted of large connected treehouses, spiraling up and down the trunks of each tree. If a less-equipped dragon fell from this height, they would certainly break something.
|| πΊππππππ'π πππππππ πππ πππππππππ’ || β° With a daily dose of mist, mist, fog, and more mist,Β the climate of their kingdom is moist and cold. Since they're elevated most of the time, they don't pay any attention to the geography, but it's mostly forest with flatter ground. There are no caves, only purposefully dug out holes and caverns.
|| πΏπππππ(π) || β± They have two palaces, a summer and winter one.Β The summer palace, located in the largest tree, is only enterable through a heavily guarded treehouse, which has only a hole in the floor. In order to get down, one has to squeeze through the tree trunk and down into the palace halls. It's generic, only that it's horribly dark and, unless one has better-than-great nightvision, it can only be navigated through memory. Which is why their queens have never been assassinated. Digging into it won't work either, as the walls have two layers, the outer one being obsidian and the inner one made of decorative wood.
The winter palace, the one most external tribes are familiar with, is much like any other palace. It is still hidden in the woods, but the queen never comes here. Only the princesses.Β
|| πΎππππ πππππππππ || β° None of the other buildings are as fancy, save for a few. The herbalist has a much larger treehouse, spanning over four trees and being the second largest dragon-built structure. It has two floors, both capable of storing dragons. Then there's the guard's quarters, which spans around three thick trees. It's got an armory and cafeteria, as well as a landing port for when dragons need to quickly fly in and out instead of landing somewhere else. Finally, there's the messenger's hut, spanning across two trees.
|| πΎππππ πΊππππππ πππππππ || β± Since these dragons never cared about visitors, the only way to get up is by flying. There is nothing to climb unless you plan on hanging upside down for a while. Not many things are hard to fall off of. They don't need to worry about falling since it wouldn't hurt them. Bulky dragons, like Mudwings, are not advised to walk around here since everything is made for use by Glancewings, and thus is harder to navigate for such a big, less agile dragon. The houses usually have tons of space,Β and windows wherever they feel fit. The flora here have been restricted and relocated into only having more docile plants, like strange flowers and mist-blowing plants.Β
|| πππππ πππππππππππππ || β°Β Usually, they don't have one partner. Being Polyamorous is a more common thing within this tribe. There's no real limit to how many partners one dragon has, they all just kinda love each other. Everyone in the tribe usually gets along, like one big closed community.
The Queen, Glare, has both a wife and husband. Though, unfortunately, her wife doesΒ not count as a queen due to being less strong and not related directly to royalty. That would be incest, and that's not cool.
The princesses don't have a spouse. Perhaps they're waiting, or they don't don't care. Who knows?

Hidewings || Since the Glancewings are at war with The Mesmrwings, the Hidewing's allies, they have moved down to a neutral stance.
Mesmrwings || Due to the actions of the queen, they have moved on to a fully-fledged war.Β
Flashwings || Allied tribe, as once the flashwings evacuated everyone from a mass fire, allowing the Glancewings to stay with them. Queen Glare appreciates that.
Skywings || They don't interact often. Hell, the queen doesn't know what a 'Skywing' is.
Seawings || Unknown.
Sandwings || Unknown.
Icewings || Neutral. Icewings seeking something new have accidentally sailed to their continent and for now they leave each other alone.
Mudwings || Unknown.
Nightwings || They despise eachother. If Queen Glare had the chance she would kill every single one of them- there's no doubt the Nightwing queen thinks the same.
Rainwings || While they're on good terms, Queen Glare is suspicious of the 'peaceful' dragons. They're too powerful to be so nice.
Hivewings || Unknown.
Silkwings || Unknown.
Leafwings || Unknown.
|| π°πππππππ πππ ππππ ππ’πππππ || β° They don't really care as long as it isn't a STUIPID NIGHTWING.
|| π°πππππππ πππ ππππ ππππππ || β± While Queen Glare is stubborn and (occasionally) mean, she rules well and makes good decisions. Her daughters hate her though.
|| π°ππππππππ πππ ππππ πππππππ π πππ πππππππ πππππππππ || β° Usually, they are more neutral to dragons with such abilities. As long as you AREN'T A DAMN NIGHT WI-
ahem.
The Queen actually goes out of her way to inquire dragons born with special abilities about what it's like.
|| π²πππππ πππππππππππ’ ππππππ || β± Glancewings have a stereotype of being reckless, skittish, or horribly mean. While those might be common personality traits, it certainly does not define the tribe as a whole.
|| π΄πππ || β° I can't describe the way it looks so you get a photo.Β
ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING
The shells are usually a blend of misty grays and faint iridescent green, perfect for hiding. This, of course, sends the parents into a panic when they loose sight of their egg. Usually, the parents care for the egg, though there is an orphanage that cares for abandoned or lost eggs. They hatch after about two months. Typically, they rest in a cool, dark corner where the parents sleep.
|| π³ππππππππ || β± After two months, the eggs hatch and become dragonets. When they've just hatched, their colors are faint and thus they are gray, making them better at hiding. Their wings are small, as not to injure themselves. Before they can fly, they are small enough to be carried by most adult dragons. The only dragon that can't carry them is the Mesmrwings, due to being very small. Their layered horns begin to grow in at the start of their growth spurt, beginning at 3 and ending at 7. Usually, they start with the skin at the sight of the horns bending open like a star and covering with bone. This is rather itchy. Then grows in the first bit, the second, and third. They experience a major growth spurt at 4, growing to the size of an average juvenile in the span of three days. For any other dragon this would be horribly painful, but this simply causes more itching.
|| π±πππππ πππ’ππ || β° Since they can't take much slicing damage, their only main tactics are to terrify and confuse their enemies to exhaustion, where they can then deliver a killing blow. This does not always work, as projectiles can force them to close their wings to avoid getting struck, ruining the illusion. In case of failure, they resort to areal attack since they are much more agile than most and can leap off of trees immediately after landing.
|| πΎππππ πππππππ πππππππ || β± Since their eggs are leathery rather than hard shell, Glancewings throw their eggs off of the balcony after laying. Supposedly it's supposed to make the dragonet strong. After hatching they also immediately throw their hatchlings off of balconies. If they bounce, it's good. If they don't, well, what the actual fuck. WHY DID THE CHILD NOT BOUNCE?
|| π·ππππππ’ || β° I.. am not writing that...Β
