A MOTH TO THE FLAME- I
Hi everyone. Presenting to you another madam sir recreation. Time line of the story is after the case of Rama- Karishma Singh's friend. I understand the feeling when a fan has to see his favorite character in a negative sort of light. So, I know the frustration of the fans of Karishma Singh's character. This recreation is dedicated to all of you.
A special dedication and a special apology to @haseenakarishma. I know I have promised you for the story a long time ago but I haven't published it. The reason was that I was unable to right a good climax. I have written its ending and deleted it twice because it wasn't justifying with Karishma's emotions. Another reason was that after writing it, it skipped from my mind to publish it due to some professional commitments. Secondly, reason for not publishing it by 8 and 9 p.m. as per my promise was the description and cover of the story which took a lot of time. Once again I am sorry that you have to request me again and again. And I really hope that this story will not hurt the sentiments of your or any other member of madam sir army.
The story will be based on three to four parts and I will try my best to publish them daily.

It was the night after the Dahi Handi event, Haseena was in her lounge surfing through news channels randomly. Ringing of her doorbell at the unusual hour had surprised her.
As she opened the door, she was more shocked to see Rama there.
"I am sorry Haseena madam for disturbing you at this hour," though she was apologizing but her tone was insolent.
"Please come in," Haseena gestured inside and gave her way.
Rama had taken a quick glance round the lounge. Her eyes stuck on Haseena and Karishma sharing a frame and she added while sitting on the sofa, "picture is nice."
Haseena wasn't getting her strange behavior but she looked at the frame in question and responded with admiration, "More than that it's special. Karishma had gifted me when we became friends officially."
"Is Karishma your friend?" Hands crossed at her chest, legs crossed at knees, back rested at the backrest of the sofa, she asked coldly and intimidatingly.
Haseena at once raised her eyebrows, "excuse me!! We are best friends."
Rama stared at her directly with fire in her eyes for a little longer. Next moment, she suddenly averted her gaze and added with a formal smile and gratitude, "Haseena madam, I actually came here to thank you for opening my eyes and bringing me out of my misery."
Haseena was utterly confused on her sudden switch to humbleness, "you don't have to, it was my duty."
Rama smiled a little, "I don't take favors," again a cold reply from her had made Haseena's senses on high alert.
Next instant, she took out a gift from her bag and placed it on the table in front of her, "I had heard a lot about your emotions and intellect..." Without completing and waiting for her response, she walked out of her house.
"What did she mean? Strange woman..." mumbling under breath, she was tearing the gift wrapper.
As she opened the cardboard box, five folded, square papers were piled in it. She rolled her eyes slightly irritated, "she is hell bent on screwing me up; first by boasting about her friendship with Karisma and now by these nonsense chits."
She began reading them one by one, unknown that they were about to create a tornado within herself.
Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship you haven't learned anything - Mohammad Ali
"Friendship..." Karishma's smiling face flashed in her mind and a sweet smile lingered on her lips however by the end of quotation a few creases appeared on her forehead. Flipping the paper upside down, she opened the next in a hurry. Suddenly, she felt uneasy and her heart beat raised.
Friendship marks life even more deeply than Love. Love risks degenerating into obsession, friendship is never anything but sharing- Elie wiesel
"...Sharing," she felt her soul distressed at Elie Wiesel's words and her mind rang with Karishma's words after her memory returned, "Madam sir, you were seeing me dying in pain of your loss still you never told me the truth, Why?" The first tear of guilt streamed down from her eyes and her shivering fingers fidgeted with the next paper.
A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same - Elbert Hubert.
Her mind flashed with her own countless anger filled voices, "Karishma Singh, i am tired of teaching you to be calm, to not be aggressive but you never listened to me. I can not tolerate your discrepancies anymore,"
"Aggressiveness is her personality, all this while i was trying to change her personality... " she gasped at the realization.
'Wait , haven't I changed her already, she had stopped countering me, she had already become so calm... horrifically calm," she closed her eyes in guilt and a faint sob escaped her mouth.
One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood - Lucius Annaeus Seneca.
Her mind instantly flashed with Karishma's face from all those countless times when she had fully or partially complained that she never understands her. She choked on her breathing, her face drenched with tears and she immediately opened the last paper.
True friendship can handle true knowledge. It does not depend on darkness and ignorance- Henry David Thoreau.
"Faking my death, jumping in front of that dangerous murderer writer, shooting her, i never told her the truth, i never tried to confide in her with my plan, despite knowing that sudden revelation will be immensely painful for her...." Next moment, her face went pale and her throat dried. Her brain was fogging and was repeatedly flashing with just Karishma's painful face. She was feeling tons of burden on her soul.
Leaping on her jeep keys, she drove towards Rama's house at full speed. "Rama..." She caught her in the way only and called her out loud. Rama stopped to give her a glance but then started walking ahead ignoring her.
"Please Rama stop, please, I swear you on Karishma, please stop," not for her cracked voice but her swear had compelled Rama to stop.
Coming out of her Jeep, she stood in front of her. She opened her mouth to say something but words refused to come out of her mouth. Tears were streaming from her eyes endlessly.
"Ka...Karishma... How... How is she?" She whispered, unable to understand what to say.
Rama chuckled bluntly and added, "You killed Karishma. One who is in front of us is nothing more than a lifeless body."
Her brutal but honest remarks pierced Haseena's heart and she was frantically shaking her head sideways.
"Haseena Malik- the kind and just for all the good and evil out there was brutal and unjust for her own S.I. Karishma Singh and she claimed to be her best friend. So, what will be your punishment S.H.O. Haseena Malik? Wait a second, you are the master of solving cases through your unique ideas. What will you do to heal Karishma whom you hurted terribly? Karishma had not told me anything, she is a woman of principles. She refused to say anything, not even your name because she can't breach the code of friendship irrespective of the fact that you had broken so many. You are the hero for this city, I could have never thought of you as her culprit if I hadn't read her personal diary. Until this morning, I adored you very much but now I hate you for breaking my Karishma so brutally. You killed her true self. You hurted her so much that she went silent. Anger was her expression, instead of making her share her feelings... instead of channelizing her energy, you snatched her language only. The pain which you had caused her, is caged inside her heart and piercing it but she concealed it. She concealed all her pain behind her calmness because she did not want to hurt you. You might be a great Police Officer Haseena Malik but you failed as a friend. I want to punish you with my own hands for breaking my Karishma so brutally but I can't because Karishma still loves you. However, from now on, I will give her immense love and support that she will never yearn for you and your so-called friendship. You don't deserve her." Rama was shouting with tears and Haseena was crying with closed eyes and bowed head.
When Rama went away announcing her decision, Haseena fell down there only on the footpath. Soon her silent sobbings turned into loud cries and she shouted at the top of her voice. However, her heart was far from peace, she looked at her both hands and her mind flashed with the memory when she had shot her with them. Next instant, a sudden fury rushed into her nerves and she started slapping herself.
At Karishma's place, her whole room was turned upside down as all the files were spread on the floor along with all her belongings and the cupboard was empty. She was sitting at the edge of bed hiding her face in her palms extremely disturbed. It was then Pushpa ji entered her room, "Karishma!! What kind of storm hit your room?"
"Amma...Amma, has someone come to my room? My cupboard... Has anyone approached it...Amma my diary, my personal diary... I am unable to find it...I don't know where it is...it had..it had so many secrets... If someone had read it...." Karishma was literally at the verge of crying.
"I know nothing about your diary beta but you need to calm down. You must have forgotten after putting it somewhere. It's okay, we'll find it," Pushpa ji rubbed her back to console her.
"I have to find it...I have to find it at all costs... I feel like being naked in public." Karishma shouted angrily while tears made their way to her cheeks. Pushpa ji was trying hard to comfort her but failing miserably.
