'Guren!' I yelped, grasping at his neck fur as he clung onto a tree root.

I pulled him up, losing my footing in the process. I slid down, making Guren fall further down.

'HELP!'

Let's take a step back in time, shall we*

'Gurennnnnnnnn... there's nothing hereeeee! Let's just go back...' I groaned as we walked through the forest.

'Just shut up and walk.' Guren replied.

As we walked, I picked up a strange scent. I guess Guren also picked up on it as he stopped and tilted his head back, muzzle in the air.

'We're close...' he murmured, continuing to walk again.

'Close to what?' I asked, catching up to him.

'Shh. Get down.' Guren said, dropping to his belly.

I did the same, crawling over to his side. We peered through a bush to see dogs and foxes talking to each other. I held back a growl as they talked.

"Why the hell are foxes and dogs talking to one another?!" I thought, silently growling.

'Keep calm and listen.' Guren murmured, ears up and pointing towards the group.

I took a deep breath to calm down as I pricked my ears, listening in to their conversation.

'Alright. But, what can we do?'

'We'll have to join together.'

'But how? Foxes, dogs and wolves are all enemies. We're only friends cause we've known each other since we can remember.'

'There has to be some way. We have to tell them all sooner rather then later.'

'Yeah, but, even if we can get everyone together, how do we know they'll listen? How do we know no one will tear the others fur off?'

'We don't.'

'Exactly. So, we can't gather everyone together. We can talk to the foxes while you talk to the dogs.'

'Then, who'll talk to the wolves?'

'We'll have to get someone from their side to talk to them.'

'But who?'

'Don't know. But, we can't be sure that once we meet one, they won't kill us. We're all enemies.'

'I know that. L-let's just stick with getting the foxes and dogs together.'

'K. We'll we can meet up later. Bye.'

'Bye!'

The foxes and dogs left, going their seperate ways. But, as the foxes left, the dogs stopped, looking back.

'Someone's here.'

They looked around till their eyes fell on the bush that covered us.

'Crap. Get ready to fight.' Guren muttered.

The dogs stepped forward, jaws parted. They ran, ran right towards us. They jumped, landing on my tail as we jumped back.

'We need to leave. Now!' I yelped, running away, pulling my tail back.

Guren followed, the dogs chasing after us. We turned, jumped and weaved through the forest, trying to find an escape route. Eventually, we lost the dogs, but found ourselves on the edge of a cliff side.

'How far did we run?' I asked, looking around the area.

'No idea. We need to get back.' Guren replied, turning to walk away.

A sudden noise, like a growl of a car, sounded off in the distance, startling is both. Guren slipped, and started to fall down the cliff side, only just scrapping hold of a tree root to stop himself.

'Gah! Crap. Shinya!' He howled, a losing his footing on the rock below.

'Guren!' I yelped, grasping at his neck fur as he clung onto a tree root.

I pulled him up, losing my footing in the process. I slid down, making Guren fall further down.

'HELP!' We yelped, struggling to stay up.

'Shinya! Guren!'

I looked up to see four foxes and a wolf running towards us.

'Yuu!' I yelped, as the raven fox grasped at my neck fur and hauled me up.

'Grab my tail!' Kimizuki said, as Guren dig his teeth into his tail.

With the help of the others, they pulled us up. We collapsed on the ground, panting.

'Thanks...' I murmured, trying to stand up, but fell back down.

'No problem. Why were you hear anyway?' Yuu asked.

'It seems that others have heard tell of the twolegged-furless.' Guren replied, sitting up straight.

'Oh?' Shinoa muttered.

'Also, they will try to gather up all the wolves, foxes and dogs.' I added, managing to sit up.

'Uh-huh. Well then, let's get back and we can discus it then.' Kimizuki said, walking away.

We all followed, and ended up catching some prey on the way back. We played a few games on the way until we finally reached the den. We climbed up the stairs, but stood still as we found two wolves in the den, sleeping.

'The hell are wolves doing here?' I growled, readying myself to fight.

They woke up by our noise. As they stretched, they sat up, staring at us.

'Good. You didn't move.' Yuu said, walking past them to the prey pile.

'How long do you two plan to stay here?' Mika asked, sitting down in front of them.

'Well... we were also...' the light grey said, whispering the last part to Mika.

'Seriously? And how did that happen?'

As they talked, we walked past them, still keeping an eye on them. We put the rest of the prey in the pile and took a piece each. As we ate, Yuu took two more pieces and gave them to the two wolves.

'Why'd you do that, Yuu-kun?' Yoichi asked as he came back.

'They need food. Plus, they did obey what I told them to. They didn't move anywhere,' Yuu explained. 'But, that doesn't mean I trust them yet.'

'K. We should get some sleep.' Shinoa yawned, crossing a bridge and finding a place to sleep.

We all walked over and found our own spots to sleep.

'Goodnight guys...' I yawned as sleep took over.

'Night...'
