Fire and Re-Encounter
•~Third Person~•
Yuichirou ran away into the forest after being caught up in a fight with one of the wolves.
'Dammit! This pain won't go away.' He hissed, blood staining his fur from the cuts and bits he received.
He ran deeper into the forest before coming to a halt. He looked around, his muzzle in the air.
'Hmm... this way.' He murmured, turning to his right and running through bushes and trees.
Yuichirou stopped and turned from time to time to change direction. While running through the trees, he spotted something bright in the distance.
'What's that?' He wondered as he crept closer, staying low on the ground.
As Yuichirou got closer, the light seemed to move around. He moved faster, wanting to see what it was. He was a few inches away when strange voices were heard.
'Find... den...... will... luck.........'
'What?' He murmured, getting closer.
Yuichirou peered up at who spoke. It was a twolegged-furless! There were two of them. But, what den was he taking about? He was about to step forward when both of the furless turned around, spotting him.
'...fox?' One spoke.
'Crap.' He murmured.
He turned around, running away. A hand reach out and grabbed at his tail. His fur slipped out of the grasp as Yuichirou ran through the trees. He ran and ran, not looking back. He traveled through till he reached a familiar patch.
'I'm almost at the den.' He said, changing path and running faster.
The scent of his skulk filled the air as he ran ahead. He reached his den, heart pounding.
'Yuichirou! Where have you been?' His ma asked, coming up to him.
'Sorry, got a bit lost. But, I saw some twolegged-furless who were talking about a den.' Yuichirou said.
'What?! Better hope it isn't our den.' His fa said, walking into the den.
'Keep an eye out just in case. We have to be careful.' Ma replied, hopping into the den.
Greatma and greatfa followed. Yuichirou glanced back one last time before going inside.
'Get some rest. You need to heal.' Ma said, curling he tail around herself.
Yuichirou closed his eyes, allowing sleep to take over.
*During the Night*
•~Yuu's P.O.V~•
'Everyone! Outside now! Through the back exit! Hurry!' Ma called, fire surrounding us.
I stared at the flames engulfing our den.
'Yuichirou! Hurry!' Greatma yelped.
I turned to her, running towards the back exit. I leaped outside, landing on the soft grass of our patch. I turned back to see the twolegged-furless I saw before holding sticks, fire on the end. I growled at them. They turned to face me.
'Fox... before...... get...' one said.
The other crept towards me, hand outstretched. As he neared, I bit his hand, drawing blood. He screamed in pain as I let go. He threw the stick at me, grazing my right shoulder. I hissed, stepping back. I turned I face my den, only to regret doing so.
'Fa! Ma! Greatma! Greatfa! No!' I yelped.
They were trapped in the burning den. I couldn't get anywhere near them as the furless got in my way and the fire engulfed the whole den.
'NOOO!' I yelped.
'Yuichirou! Run!' Ma called.
My ears fell flat on my head. I whimpered as I turned, running into the forest.
'Their gone. Their all gone.' I whimpered.
I shut my eyes, trying to hold back my tears. It started raining. I didn't care where I was going. I heard an ear piercing noise, startling me. I slipped on some mud, falling down a rocky slope. Scraping my sides, I finally hit solid ground. My tears started to flow as I whispered in pain. The rain fell on my face harder than before. I tried to stand up, but my left forepaw was badly injured. The rain splashed on my face as sleep started to take over...
•~Mikaela's P.O.V~•
'Mikaelaaaaaaa... I'm borrrreeed.' Lacus whined, stretching his legs.
'Tch. And what do you want me to do about it.' I groaned.
'Shut up, Lacus.' René howled, getting up and heading outside.
I got up and walked outside. The rain poured down on my fur. I wondered around, paws covered in mud. I didn't mind though. I headed into the forest that surround the den. While walking around, an ear piercing noise came out of no where. I flattened my ears on my head, a low growl rose in my throat. The noise disappeared and was replaced by a whimper. I headed towards the sound. I slipped on some mud, but stayed up. I peered over at a slope and saw a muddy raven coloured figure laying on the ground, all bruised up. Without knowing what my paws were doing, I slid down to the figure.
'I-it's you.' I whispered, lowering my muzzle to get a better look.
It was the fox I fought before! I didn't know what to do. He looked so fragile just laying there. I closed my teeth around his neck fur and picked him up. I didn't know where my paws were taking me, but, I just let them go. I walked towards an empty cave and walked inside. I placed him down And curled up beside him.
'Hmm. I'm getting hungry. Might as well hunt.' I sighed as I stood back up.
I looked back at the muddy raven coloured before heading back outside.
*Time Skip after hunting*
'A rabbit and a few mice. Not the best, but, it'll do.' I mumbled between clenched teeth.
I walked back to the cave, the rabbit and mice dangling from my mouth. I walking inside the cave, only to see the raven awake and staring at me with piercing emerald eyes.
'It's you, again.'
Hope you enjoyed and have a great day/night!
Kitty-chan out! 💕
