Liliana ran as fast as she could, she always ran in the early hours of the morning when nobody was about; she ran to forget the shit show her life was, how fucked up her mom and dad were to not believe her when she told them what her brother had been doing to her, she wasn't really surprised though her parents weren't much better so when social services got involved and removed her from the house for her own safety and wellbeing.
       
Liliana hasn't ever felt safe, not really. She always is looking over her shoulder worrying that her brother and parents will find her. Her social worker Mari told her that her parents aren't allowed to know where she is, neither is her brother but that doesn't stop her from panicking daily.
       
Today was no different even during her run Liliana felt like she was being watched, like she couldn't relax but then again she never really ever felt relaxed but she could usually calm down at least a little bit while she was running. As Liliana was running she fell, she'd taken this route multiple times, across the field in the park that was close to the group home but she'd never noticed a hole in the ground.
       
Landing on the ground with a thud Liliana groaned as her foot immediately started throbbing, she couldn't let on that she'd been out because you aren't allowed out without permission yet here she was at 5:30am on a run just as the sun was rising.

"Fuck" the 13 year old mumbled as she got to her feet but was immediately met with more pain, she didn't know what to do, she knew she'd be in a whole lot of trouble if she told one of the care workers she'd snuck out to go for a run. But then it hit her, she could always say she wants to take her school work and do it at the park and she'd go to the clinic at station 19 which was close to the group home, she remembered seeing that today was a clinic day and that no question were asked so hopefully they'd be able to do something to help out.

Liliana hobbled back to the group home and made her way to her room hoping she would go unnoticed and nobody would realise she was in pain it was going to be a long day for Liliana but little did she know her luck was going to change and she'd be meeting two woman who were going to change her life.
