Episode 1: Amy (Final Part)

Amy's Pov
I stepped out from the shower. "Honestly...". I began using my grey towel to dry myself off quickly. I walked over to my bed and picked up the clothes I had laid down, quickly putting them on after I was dry enough. I had a bad feeling in my stomach. Had I eaten something bad the previous night? No. Impossible. I ate the same thing we ate every night. The same supplies that we'd received every so often from Barbara. So what was it? Why was I feeling like this? I shook my head and stood up slowly. Maybe it was just a bad feeling. I walked out from my room and sighed as I stepped into the familiar hallway. The hallway of bedrooms this was. That led to the common area. And said common area led to the supply room, the kitchen, the training room, and the exit. But something was off. And after two months of normal, it was easy to notice. Charlie's room door was wide open. He never left it open like that. Not even a crack. I walked over and peeked inside. "Charlie?" I frowned as I saw that the lights were all off. I turned on one and saw that his bed was empty. "Odd."

I walked back over to the light switch and turned it off. I wonder where he is. I left his room and gently closed the door. "Charlie?" I called out and walked through the hallway. Still no answer. Where the heck was he?

"Oh my. You're looking for Charlie?"

I turned back to see Jacob standing behind me, smiling. "Yes. I am. Have you seen him?" I leaned down to his height.

Jacob nodded. "I did. I saw him earlier. He was talking about saving someone. But it was really early in the morning, so I just went back to sleep." He rubbed his eyes.

I held my head in frustration. He wouldn't have. "Thank you, Jacob."

"No problemo." He giggled and walked back towards the room he and Emma shared.

I then sighed and began walking around, looking for Charlie. The bad feeling increased.

Mary's Pov
"Worried?" I glanced up at Anderson. "Washington, you've known me for a while. I don't get worried easily."

Anderson nodded. "I suppose. But there are some dangerous people in the world. And I believe that Jessica girl isn't someone who can be trusted." He reached up and patted his grey hairs. "I may be getting old, but I'm still good at reading people."

I sipped on my glass of red wine. "I know you are. I trust you far more than her. But, I want to talk about that Granddaughter of yours. Barbara, you said her name was?"

"Yes."

"Do you believe she can take over once you're gone?" I asked bluntly.

"Over the past year, I've been testing her out. I even faked my own death to see how she would react, and so far, she's produced results that I have deemed worthy." He glanced around the bright red room. "This room looks lovely. Like most of this place."

"You're changing the subject, Washington. Are you worried?"

He let out a sigh. "A bit. I'm worried about my son. He was never the most emotionally stable. I ignored it in the past, but it seems that it worsened. Even after I took Barbara away."

"Where is he now?"

"No idea." He shrugged. "Another thing I'm worried about is Charlie. He still doesn't know. Or so I've been told by Zeke."

"Doesn't know about that thing you mentioned earlier?"

"Exactly."

"I'm sure you'll figure something out. But I'll have to end this little meeting of ours." I smiled sweetly and stood up.

"It was nice seeing you again, Mire."

"You as well, Washington."

Alex's Pov Six Hours Earlier
"Come on. We've gotta get through this part of Marywood before the sun comes up." I told Rashall.

"Oh fuck off. I'm not used to being up this early anyway." He yawned.

"Enthusiastic. So much so, it hurts."

"Fuck you."

"Maybe later." I smirked and led him around the stray stumbling zombie in the road.

"Weirdo. Acting so gay."

"What if I am gay?"

".........Shouldn't we be focusing on getting through this part of the city? I've heard the narrows isn't a place you'd want to be."

"How to change the subject 101." I shook my head.

Rashall gave me a dark glare and sighed. "There's no way we'll be able to get through this part before people start waking up. The people in these parts wake up really early and are constantly on alert."

"We'll be fine." I glanced around at the dark tall buildings around us. Hopefully.

"Let's just find a place to stay for the day."

"If you insist, princess."

Rashall kicked me hard in the shins.

"OW!"

He huffed and began walking in the direction of a partially destroyed building.

I rubbed my shin and silently followed, pouting. Not noticing the black lightning that flashed in the distance behind us.

Charlie's Pov 10 minutes ago
6. That was the time. Sneaking out this early was easy. In fact, Micheal and I did stuff like this all the time. The sneaking out part at least. But today we had an objective. We were going to take Number One up on his offer. And save Layla. Of course, I'd went to sleep extra early so as to be energized when I'd had to wake up at 5 in the morning.

Micheal walked along the road we were on quietly. He glanced around with his big, dark black eyes. With that mean look on his face, his weirdly shaped nose, and the way he lumbered around with his huge self, he seemed like a human sized dog. I'd never say that to his face though. Normally, he was nice enough. And he was the only one willing to sneak outside with me. So ruining that wouldn't be wise.

"Mr. Micheal?" I spoke.

"Hmm?" He turned back to glance at me.

"Do you regret coming out with me?"

"No. This clown is a fucked up dude. I'm happy to get Amy's daughter away from that freak." He gave me a thumbs up.

I nodded. "Thanks for coming though. I've heard bad things about the narrows."

"Yeah. Let's be extra careful."

I nodded and sighed. Lately that other Charlie had been talking to me. I felt my mind drift off as I recalled one of our other conversations.

One Week Ago
"You've dragged me into my own mind. How odd." I spoke. The room we were in was a dark, dirty one that was extremely bland. I peered into the big mirror in the middle of the room and saw the other Charlie. He was chained to a chair and frowning at me.

"Give me my body back, please." He said.

I chuckled and shook my head. "You've had it for a good eight years. I think you not having it for two months isn't good enough payback."

"It's mine!"

"Is it? I was the one in charge originally. You're a false persona created by Alex. You don't even deserve to exist."

"Excuse me?"

"You've completely blocked off your childhood. And I can't view anything besides the moment you took control. But some of your recent memories disgust me. Like the one with David. Three months ago, you were sexually excited by his beatings. And got aroused by it. And yet a short while later, you warped your own memories and convinced yourself that he made you want to commit suicide. Do you see how much of a contradiction that is? Your entire personality is built on lies and contradictions. YOU ARE A CONTRADICTION!" I was angry now.

The Charlie in the mirror struggled in the chains. "You're wrong. GIVE ME MY BODY BACK RIGHT NOW!"

I simply smirked. "You look like a spoiled brat." I turned away from him and walked away.

Present(Six Hours Before) Time

I was pulled back when Micheal tapped my shoulder.

"We're here, Charlie."

I nodded. This was the building that Number One's letter had specified. "Let's go then." I pushed open the door.

Micheal clutched the shotgun he was holding in his hands before following after me.

"He didn't specify his location in the building." I noted.

"Nope. Likely a part of his games."

A female scream come resonating from inside the building.

"There's our location. The scream was convenient though. The moment we walked into the building. I sense a trap."

Micheal nodded and we ran off in the direction of the scream.

Oddly enough, the screaming continued as we got closer. I'd expected them to shut her up or gag her, but it seemed like that wasn't happening.

Micheal stopped in front of the door that the screaming was coming from. "Be ready for anything."

I nodded and kicked open the door.

The screaming immediately stopped. I blinked slowly. The room was very dark and the only thing visible were three clowns standing in the middle of the room. None of them Number One.

The clown closest to us had a blue mask with the word mind written in red on his cheek. The one in the middle had a silver mask with the word time written in orange on his cheek in the same spot. And the one on the left had a purple mask and he had the word eyes written on his mask.

"Hello." The blue clown waved.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my pistol. "Hello." I aimed the gun at his head. All the practice I'd had on both zombies and humans alike had paid off. I pulled the trigger and the gun fired.

The clown's head flew back and he crumbled to the floor.

The silver masked clown gasped. "WHAT THE FUCK?" His voice was high and angry.

I quickly ran forward and punched him in his mask.

The clown with the purple mask pulled out a knife and slashed down on my left hand.

I bit my lip to keep myself from screaming as I dropped the gun. Blood dripped out from the cut on my hand. I felt my anger gathering as my wings burst from my back, tearing through my shirt. Eating people was definitely morally incorrect. But if I wanted to survive and become stronger, I had to. And over the past two months, I did. I swung my tentacle through the clown's head and let out as sigh as blood flew out from his now headless neck. Laugh at that.

I prepared to do the same to the silver mask clown when I remembered Micheal. I turned back and saw a look of shock on his face. "Still friends, Micheal?"

Micheal blinked. "He's running." He aimed the shotgun.

I turned to the silver masked clown as he ran away and slammed my tentacle down on his body, smashing him into the floor, which cracked.

"Wow."

I looked up at the new voice and saw Number One. He had just entered the room through the other door and was holding a gun to Layla's head.

"Give her back." I pulled my tentacles back up and pierced the silver masked clown through the chest.

"I'm certainly not doing that now." He slowly left the room.

"HEY!" Micheal called out.

But then, the building began shaking. Cracks appeared in the ceiling and loose tiles flew down.

"What's going on?" I peered up as the ceiling was pulled upwards.

A giant grey skinned humanoid stared down at us, holding the ceiling. It was at least five times the size of this small building. And it had startling blue eyes and blond hair. "Charlie." It spoke in a deep voice.

I simply blinked in shock as a piece of the ceiling flew down towards my head. I felt intense pain as it hit me and I felt myself falling forward. But I couldn't even react before falling unconscious.

Micheal's Pov
"Charlie!" I ran forward and gently shook him. "Come on, wake up." I saw that there was blood dripping down from his hair.

"Fuck." I muttered.

The humanoid raised it's left left hand and aimed it at me. It began glowing with a bright white light. Then his eyes began glowing as well. "ATTACK!" He yelled and zombies with glowing white eyes burst into the room, running straight towards me.

I gasped and fired the shotgun at the closest one, watching it's head turn into a mass of blood and brains. I reached inside my coat to grab another shell. Zombies couldn't run, right? Before I could even question what was happening, the zombies were on me. Biting down on any place they could. My arms. My legs. My chest and neck. I let out a wet bloody gurgle of a scream. And the last thing I saw was Charlie's unconscious body being grabbed by that giant humanoid. Amy....forgive me. And then I was torn apart.
