Charlie's Pov, 5 minutes later
I couldn't believe that they had lied to me. Even Zeke had gotten in on it. I thought that he would be nicer to me now that he remembered that we had been going out. All he was doing was adding confusion to my too layered up cake of problems. Then I find out Alex was kidnapped by a strange man and then my parents reveal that Zeke was only my half brother after my family agreed not to lie to each other. My life wasn't the best at the moment but I couldn't make someone else's as crappy as mine was. I had a job to do. Despite being hungry.

Jessica's Pov, 1 hour later
I awoke to pain. There was a blinding light directly above me. I quickly shut my eyes and waited for the pain to go away. Eventually I was able to open my eyes a crack and peek through. I quickly glanced around my room before coming to the conclusion that I was in a hospital. There was one somewhere in town but I rarely ever had to go there. I could hear the faint beating of a heart monitor next to me so that only confirmed my suspicion.

I wait until the pain leaves long enough for me to try moving, however that only causes the pain to resurface. I can hear a voice saying something to someone but they are talking in low voices and I can't tell what they're talking about. I looked over to where the voices are coming from and see a sight I never would've imagined. Ryan Lambert is awake from his coma and trying to get out of bed.

A bunch of doctors have panicked looks on their faces and are trying to push him back down. However Ryan quickly lays back down all of a sudden. I don't see the rest because tears are filling my eyes and planning to leak.

I quickly try to tell myself that this can't be true and I must be going crazy. Or maybe it's a dream because he's suddenly awake even though when I asked David what his condition was a few days ago he had told me Ryan was taking a turn for the worse. I had known Ryan and would even say we were friends. Multiple times I had tried to get with him but he never showed interest in me. I immediately felt great shame that I had been disappointed by Ryan not liking me while I was dating Matt.

Whatever meds they had me on clearly resurrected whatever conscious I had. I never felt sorry when I did cheat on Matt and I probably would forget that I was guilty as soon as I left the hospital. I heard the door to the room open and I glanced over and let out a gasp of joy. Zeke along with Max, Jeff, and my mother walked in. I felt tears enter my eyes as I tried to get up and hug them but my body didn't allow it. I focused entirely on Zeke and asked, "What are you doing here"?

He answered with a question, "What kind of horrible person would I be to not come to see my lovely sister"?

Emily's Pov
I had an idea of where Alex went but I leap across rooftops looking for him. I had been knocked out for hours and I lost valuable time. I wouldn't have been so worried if he had contacted me during some point while I was knocked out but there was nothing. I could feel as if something was wrong. This town wasn't too far from a nearby city and I could see it in the distance. Was he taken to the city or is he still in the town? Or maybe he was taken to the abandoned hospital building. After all they never tore the building down when they built the new one. Too bad it was on the edge of town.

As soon as I was ready to go I prepared to jump off the house I was on I felt something slam into me. "Who the fuck would dar-", I questioned. I then saw something that made me angry. He dared show his face to me after what he did? I didn't say a word and instead lunged toward him. He smirked coldly and tossed a container into the air. I briefly wondered what it was but it suddenly shot multiple needles into my arms, legs and stomach. I couldn't even speak and felt myself fall fowards. He caught me in his arms as I felt my consciousness begin to slip away from me before it all went black.

Tom's Pov, 18 minutes later
It was a cloudy day today and that really made my day worse. Most of the people who I hung out hadn't come to school yesterday and I was bummed out. I worried about Charlie and Alex since they were among the few to not come to school. It was 8:00 and I was desperate to get to school. I had overslept and I only had five minutes to get to school. I was currently running as fast as I could. I saw the building and was currently almost there when I ran out of energy. My breathing became more frequent and heavy as I slowed to a stop.

I walked the rest of the way but I got there on time. I saw Sam and Maria walking slowly to the door and they waved at me. I waved back and prepared to keep walking. I suddenly felt a drop come from the sky. I looked up to see rain coming down lightly. I would have continued walking had I not seen a familiar figure standing on the roof of the school. I squinted hard and was eventually able to come to a conclusion. "Kevin? What are you....."? Kevin held out a hand and a dark orb appeared in it. Sam and Maria had stopped and were watching me. Kevin jumped off the roof and threw the orb backwards into the school.

I let out a yell as he fell but suddenly something came out of his back that slowed his fall. He landed next to me with a smile on his face. Then suddenly cracks began appearing all over the school. The school seemed to shake and screams were heard as kids began trying to reach the exit door. Panic along with pushing and shoving slowed them down. A girl who I sometimes talked to was leading the crowd. She almost made it but the school collapsed completely.

Her right hand was the only thing that made it through. She was crushed by the rocks and her hand twitched and blood began spilling out from the rubble. Then I began shaking as I slowly backed up. I felt myself becoming sick as I tried to remain standing.

Sam had a calm look on his face as he backed up and Maria scrambled backwards. Kevin said, "Their pathetic lives were all snuffed out in an instant. I am the builder and if you try to stop me or resist my control when I come back tomorrow then I will do this to you three". Another orb was created by him and he tossed it into the rubble. A few seconds passed before the thing we used to call school exploded and sent all three of us flying backwards before Kevin vanished with an evil laugh.
