Max's Pov
I sit on the chair in my living room. I was wondering why Jess hadn't gotten home yet. The slut who called herself my big sister was always cheating on her boyfriend. I had found texts with her boyfriend named Matt on her phone and yet she sent similar messages to about 15 other boys. She's probably hanging out with Zeke or Hannah. I then hear a bunch of knocking at the door and I get up and open to see Hannah, Zeke, and a unfamiliar brown boy. Speak of the devils. Hannah had a scared look on her face and with tears running down her face she stuttered, "Max I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this but......Jess has go-ne mi-ssing".

I put on a face and said, "Oh god just why....".

Hannah asked, "Where's your big brother Jeff"? I shrugged and told her I didn't know.

Suddenly I heard footsteps from behind me as my friend who I had over came from inside the house. I looked and asked, "Julie what are you doing down here"?

Julie was a nice looking girl with dark red hair, light skin, and bright blue eyes. She was wearing a light green sweater and had jeans on.

She rolled her eyes and said, "Obviously I got tired of trying to do something as lame as studying and the only reason I came was because Tommy likes being your friend even though you ALWAYS brush him off".

I shrug and mutter, "I don't want to study".

She gives me a look and shakes her head before angrily asking and slowly raising her voice, "Then why the FUCK did YOU ask HIM to come over here knowing that you didn't want to FUCKING STUDY"? She walks away before I can give an answer and stomps upstairs.

I look at Hannah and say, "Hope someone finds her but I'm gonna stay here, you guys are welcome to wait here until the police find her if you want". Hannah nods and she looks at the other two boys and they nod and they come inside. Immediately I notice Zeke's face go dark and I can tell he's jealous that he doesn't have enough money to afford a house like this.

Hannah goes to the living room and turns on the tv and puts on the news channel as the brown boy sits next to her. Zeke however stands by the door looking at his phone and he suddenly says, "Something important just came up, I gotta go". I nod and he opens and closes the front door.I head upstairs and see Thomas staring at me through my room door.

Thomas is a shy boy with loads of freckles on his face, bright blue eyes, the same hair as his cousin Julie and is always wearing glasses. The reason we call him Tommy even though he hates the nickname is because the name Thomas doesn't fit his nerdy nature and choices of clothing. Right now he's wearing a bright blue shirt and is wearing green shorts. I look at him and smile before walking into the room.

Alex's Pov, a few hours later
I woke up with a dizzy head while feeling nauseous. The constant bumps didn't help either. I tried to think of where I was and the conclusion I reached was that I was in a car that was going fast. I tried to move and saw that my hands were tied together with rope but not tightly and my feet weren't tied. I looked outside the as soon as my vision cleared and felt that we were inside a car but the sun had already set and the only lights around were the ones at the front of the car. The person driving with me in the back turned on the lights inside the car. The face I saw was.......Mr.Fucking Smith. What the actual Fuck.

"What the hell are you doing", I demand.

Mr.Smith looks back at me and says, "I'm taking you away from the madness so you don't make the greatest mistake in history".

I ask, "Even worse than Hitler killing millions"?

He smiles and says, "Indeed because Hitler only killed a certain group of people but the mistake you'll be forced to make if you stay could kill billions and wipe out the entire human race".

I look at him and ask, "What makes me so special"?

He says, "You have the will and power of god inside you". What the Fuck.

I open my mouth to speak but he suddenly stops me and says, "I don't know the full story but I know this, God and the devil's physical bodies were destroyed and so they manipulated their powers to reach earth and pick two random hosts to inhabit their bodies. They were both immortal and could only die by killing each other. My boss is the current host of the devil's power and you are the current host of God's power. If you stay here in this town then he hopes to kill you and steal your power".

I form words and ask, "But based on what you said, if they kill each other than doesn't the power go to a different host"?

He look at me and said, "That only happens if you kill each other at the same time but if one were to kill each other before the other did than one's power would go to the living one. In the past the others always have killed each other at the same time".

I quickly looked around but then focused on him and asked, "What makes this time so different"?

He shrugs, "My boss didn't tell me much but he's confident that he can kill you. He also didn't inform me on what he would do with your powers or what your powers were".

I then heard a voice deep inside my head say, "The words he speaks are the truth, you should escape if you don't want to live forever in a locked cell, deep underground. Remember that feeling you felt earlier while in school? Focus on that power. Once you have focused on it just think of the tires of the car hitting something sharp and imagine the car flying down the hill and into the woods to your left. The power you are about to use is the power to create or will things to your desire."

I feel nervous but I decide that listening to the voice is better than being confined and hiding for eternity. I focus on that feeling from earlier and a few seconds later the car's tires let out a pop. The car flies to the left and rolls down the hill and as we hit the trees the impact of it causes my head to fly forward and glass shatters everywhere as my vision goes black.

I woke up a few minutes later to find Mr.Smith gone. A shard of glass had gone through the ropes binding my hands together. I climb out the broken window next to me and wince at the pain. I see a few cuts on myself but I force myself to climb to the top of the hill. I reach the top after a minute or so. When I do I say to myself, "Where the fuck shou-".

Then a loud boom followed by a bright light and smoke along with the ground shaking comes from a place further down the road. It's obvious that it's an explosion that just happened. I began running towards it even though I know what I find won't be pretty.

Charlie's Pov, 20 minutes earlier
I had left from Lory's house when she came back. The sun had almost set but since our town had lots of trees it was hard to see. All of a sudden a car pulls next to me. The window rolls down to reveal Zeke and Tom waving me into the car. I get in the back and Zeke asks, "What are you doing out"?

I quickly think of a lie and say, "I was at a friend's house".

Zeke nods, "Tom thinks he's found out who the serial killer is".

I look at them before asking, "So why don't we go to the police"?

Tom says, "Since you weren't at school today you didn't see but we all got a message about some sort of builder who wants to construct a new world. He apparently is holding some girl hostage and Ms.Edith went missing and he says he's going to kill them if we don't find pieces of something. By the time we can convince the police that we aren't some stupid kids playing a prank they would both be dead".

Edith's Pov, 17 minutes later
I noticed that for some reason even though we were just inside the school we had suddenly appeared in a strange house. The strange man in the mask looked around for a few seconds and I ran further into the darkness of the house. I got to a far enough place when I ran past a bathroom and heard a gunshot. There was a sound of glass falling to the floor. I looked back and heard him coming closer so I ran into the bathroom and grab a shard of glass from the now broken mirror and turn out the light.

I wait and wait as I try to bring my breathing under control. All of a sudden the door flies open. The man enters with a gun in his hand as he reaches for the light switch. I immediately lunge at him and slash at the hand holding the gun. He screams in pain and I hold my now bleeding hand and then run away.

I run by a door further down the hall and hear screaming coming from the inside. I struggle internally about whether to stop and help the person down there. My long black hair flies in front of my black eyes. I open the door and rush down the stairs to the basement. I see a bunch of stuff in one corner and there are a bunch of wires sparking in another corner and next to the wires is a woman bound to a chair. Familiar red hair with an all too familiar set of eyes. This lady was someone who I was friends with. This was Hannah Monem's mother.

She had a slightly visible bruise on her cheek. I ran over to her and cut her hands and feet loose. I ask her, "Rita? What are you doing here"?

She looks at me before saying, "I got kidnapped, I couldn't move because a cup of water is on the edge of the dresser and if I struggled it would've tipped over and splashed on the already sparking wires. Plus I think I smell gas in here so fire is the last thing we want". I nod as I hear footsteps coming down the steps.

I quickly move into a dark corner of the basement. The man walks over to Rita while holding his bleeding arm and asks, "When did you-"? I jump out and kick him in his back and he stumbles foward and slams into the dresser. Rita darts like a bullet up the stairs. I run after her as I hear the cup full of water hit the floor. We enter the upstairs area and run to a door and she opens it and the outside greets us. I'm a few steps behind as a loud whoosh and an ear shattering noise occurs as we rush outside. The explosion sends me flying towards an approaching light. Then pain is all I feel.

Charlie's Pov
I watch as Zeke makes the car go way over the speed limit. He makes a sharp turn and says, "Almost there". Then as we're pulling up to a house a horrible boom erupts in the night from said house and fire darts everywhere. Zeke turns the wheel and the car can barely get us away from the burning house as we slam into something and Zeke brings the car to a painful stop.

He looks at me and asks, "You alright"? I nod and he looks over at Tom who sits there with a slightly dazed look on his face.

I quickly get out and hear a voice repeatedly saying, "Oh god, oh god, oh god why in the world".

Zeke gets out and looks and sees the woman as recognition enters his eyes before asking, "Mrs.Monem?What are you doing here"? She looks up with tears in her eyes so Zeke then asks, "Are you okay"?

She finally says, "I'm fine but.........", taking a long pause. She then points at something under the car. I gaze under the car with curiosity and see the bloody face of Ms.Edith as she stares at me with a blank look in her eyes. She's dead. I stumbled backwards before feeling sick as I throw up in the grass. I try to convince myself that this wasn't real. I wipe my mouth off and try to breathe. Then I hear footsteps coming closer.

I feel all other noises being drowned out as I see a figure approaching in the darkness. The figure gets closer and I realize that it's Alex. Zeke grabs my shoulders and asks, "The police wouldn't understand anything, so we need to lay low and go home okay"?

I nod but I'm not really focusing on Zeke, instead I'm focused on the person approaching us with his hand reaching out in the same way as before. It's the same person who appeared in my room yesterday. I look at Zeke and say, "I need to tell you this just in case something bad happens......I love you in a weird way". I then kiss him on the mouth. At first he seems shocked so and surprised but he soon decides to kiss back. We don't use tongue because otherwise he would have my horrible taste on his tongue. It doesn't work so he quickly moves away and spits my bad taste into the grass. He realizes other people were still there but fortunately all of them weren't watching or couldn't see.

In embarrassment I turn and run towards the man and grab his hand in hope that falling asleep will make this horrible feeling go away. I feel images fill my head as my mind watched.

Premonition
An image showed Alex grabbing my hand with tears in his eyes. Then I see Zeke sitting on his bed while clutching his head. Then I see a police officer walking towards me. The last image once again had sound in it unlike the others. It showed Maxine standing on top of a building as she says without a care in the world, "This is a beautiful view". I then fall to the ground as my consciousness fades and the world goes black.
