I tell a century old story. I have witnessed this horrific event and experienced the chaos. However while I have witnessed the event something else was going on. This is the story of me,two boys and a ship.

Gabriel's Pov, 104 years ago
Flying. I'm flying. How? Well let me tell you a bit about my life. My parents are dead. My family has deserted me and I can't find a job. I am 16 years old with dirty white hair and light white eyes. I am the current host of God's power. Let me fill you in on why I am currently flying through the air as a bird. The world of humans was only a small thing in the vastness of space. Space. Empty of most life except for this planet.

 Most alternate alien life that humans have recently tried looking for are creatures of other dimensions. That's a story for another time. The reason why I decided to separate everything was to stop chaos from destroying everything. I separated humans from the creatures of supernatural.

There were, however humans gifted with special powers granted by the earth. When the 'incident' happened and we came to earth the two most powerful beings ever caused the planet to absorb the excess energy we have. Of course,  since our power is limitless, the planet couldn't take it all and the power spread itself across and into the planet. We essentially became earth's lifeline to survive. However as humanity began wars and killings of innocents the devil's energy began to grow and soon it even surpassed my own.

Now I have to make sure we don't kill each other. The reason for that is because my current self doesn't hold much of a will to live. I did use a person's body to live but I didn't take over their personality. If the person turns out to be mentally unstable then before our souls tie together I would leave their bodies and erase the memory of whatever I had done and my very existence from them. The devil, however does take over and morph the person's personality most of the time.

Only people who were skilled in manipulating energy could use it in many ways such as forming physical energy, illusions, using energy to shapeshift, creating weapons made out of energy itself. And those are just some ways to use it. There are more advanced ways like mind manipulation, mind control, and manipulating the elements of the earth but it would take way too long to explain how all this stuff works. The way to morph into an animal or object or even people is to use your energy and envision what you wish to turn into and then you got it. So I was currently a bird flying towards a ship. I had heard about an invincible ship that would soon be leaving and I wanted to leave behind the horrible life I had. It was nighttime when I grew close.

I flew closer to the ship and was about to land on the top deck when I felt a strange feeling and saw a dark energy wave moving towards me coming from the ship. The wave almost cut me in half but I flew around it. I reached the deck and transformed back into a human. I saw that there weren't many people out because of the cold weather right now. I looked around to see who could've tried to cut me in half but no person looked suspicious. I started to sense for energy to see if I could feel for evil energy and I felt it coming from a lower deck. I decided to head to a lower deck and see if I could find the source of this dark power.

I found the source of the dark power a few decks below which would be considered a regular class deck of the ship. I walked to a door that was open where the dark power was coming from and saw that there were two boys sitting in a room talking heatedly about something. One boy turned towards me with a full head of blond hair and dark blue eyes the color of the ocean we were currently in. The other boy had a weird smirk and had black hair with dark black eyes that had a weird glint to them. The black haired boy looked at me and said, "Well, look at what we have here Damien, it's Gabriel, from our school".

Damien looked at me and asked, "Why are you here when you told me you couldn't afford to be on this trip"? I stare at him with confusion before he asks, "Don't you recognize me? We've been hanging around each other for years and you forgot me"?

I looked at him and tried to remember him but it was pretty vague and all I remembered with a person named Damien happened to be was some little boy who had protected me when I was younger. The other boy looked at me and I began to recognize him as another friend I had back home. His name was Richard. 

Richard was where all the dark energy was coming from and he glanced at me uneasily and said, "Nice to see you again, Gabe, I was just talking to Damien about how his father could be a danger to us because of his failures last year and how I don't feel safe".

Damien looked at me and said, "I have faith in my father and I doubt a lie should rule his life while others get away with far worse".

I looked at him and asked, "Your father is captain Smith"?

Damien gave me a look of disbelief and said, "My name is Damien Smith, how did you not know with how many I told you over the years? Honestly you ca-"

He doesn't get to finish as Richard snaps his fingers and Damien falls to the ground with a blank look in his eyes. I blinked slowly. I worriedly asked, "What did you do"?"

I ran over to Damien and check for a pulse and find one. I relax but tense up again as the air around Richard darkens and he makes a slicing motion and the same dark force from earlier came flying towards me and I ducked under it as it cut through a wall and then disappeared. He looks at me and asks, "Why am I already tired from doing a little move like this? I usually can destroy mountains without breaking a sweat".

I looked at him and fearfully stuttered, "Everything about us becomes mortal while facing each other, including the levels of energy we can take and release. That means you indeed are the current host of the devil's power, which means that I-i ha-ve to def-ea-t you".

Stuttering on the last words as the previous people of God's power began speaking and giving me words of confidence as I realize what I have to do to a friend. I stare at him and ask, "We don't have to do this right, since we happen to be friends"?

He signs and says, "I don't want to fight you but the power inside me is impossible to resist so I guess we have to". I nodded and picked up Damien and began running away.

I got farther away and then I felt a weird feeling as I created an illusion of a wall behind us. I got back up to the top deck and tried to find a place to hide but there was nowhere to hide. I placed Damien down. I looked over behind me and saw that Richard was approaching us.

 I began gathering my power and began to will for something to appear that would shake the ship hard enough to distract him. I decided on an iceberg because screw everything right now. The iceberg appeared and slammed into the ship and shook the ship and caused Richard to fall to the ground as I felt my head spin with dizziness and I grabbed Damien and willed our existence to a lower deck as I collapsed from exhaustion.

Damien's Pov, 2 hours and thirty minutes later
I had woken up a while ago and found Gabriel asleep next to me. I had left him there and gone off in search of my father. I found him eventually on a lower deck with water at our knees. I walked up to him and asked, "What happened here"?

Father looks at me and says, "We hit an iceberg. Don't know how, seems like it just popped up outta nowhere".

I grabbed his shoulders and shook him as I asked, "So WHY are you still here"?

He gazed at with sad eyes and said, "With another bad incident so close to my last one, my job is finished. And since this is the only thing I've wanted to do in my life then I'll do the only honorable thing left and stay here".

I was in denial for a second but then I remembered how stubborn my father was so I grabbed him in a fierce hug and said, "Goo-dbye dad I lo-v-ve you". Tears streaming down my face and a quivering voice stops me from saying more. He smiled and ruffled my hair. The water was at my neck. He pushed me away.

 He said, "Love you too. Now go." I leave the room and head upstairs. I get to a higher level and finally reach the top deck where people are being put onto boats. I had a childish face and wasn't very tall so I walked over and almost reached the people when I suddenly heard a voice calling out.

I saw Gabriel come running towards me. He grabbed me and kissed me on the lips,as he did I felt something enter my body. He then pulled away and said, "I have given you a small piece of my power, I have a plan, so in about 100 years you'll get a weird feeling telling you to go to a certain town, make sure you show up since you are now a usable asset stronger than any other human".

I looked at him with a weird look since I've never kissed anyone before, especially a boy and I asked"Why are you giving this to me"?

He smiles sadly and says, "Two reasons actually. One is the fact that you protected me while we were younger and I want to repay you." He paused for a moment. Then began speaking again, "The second reason is that I summoned the iceberg and was the reason why your father died. Don't worry, you'll age far slower than normal humans. So be there". I wondered what he was talking about but he pushes me towards a boat that's almost full. 

I see Richard scanning the crowd but Gabriel knocks him out from behind as our boat is being lowered. I watched as the ship begins to turn towards the sky before sinking down to the depths of the ocean along with my father, and my two  friends.

104 years later
If only I knew back then. I sat there. Waiting for the sign of the boy. He was in the building and I had been told to look out for him. I looked around and finally caught sight of a certain Alex Bennett running out of the building. I felt my boss use his power as the people around the block vanished. I got up and grabbed him from behind as I used my given power and knocked him out. Too bad I was not as good as he thought or I would've stayed being a janitor. I slowly dragged him to my car, unknowing that history would soon repeat itself.
