Previously:
I tilted my head. "So it makes you fade," I said. "Perfect." I plunged my sword into his other arm and snatched the Olympian crystal from Regina's hands.

"You, sir," I said, "should probably have had a will. Now your brothers will need to find a replacement. Not even Tartarus is good enough for you." With that, I stabbed the crystal into his heart, making him explode into ash. Not even gold dust, which was disappointing.

I poked around the dust with my sword and found a piece of the crystal still intact. I picked it up and stuffed it in my backpack from Apollo.

"Hi," I said, turning to the two stunned ladies staring at me. "My name is Percy Jackson, hero of Olympus from an alternate dimension. Now, where am I?"

It's no big surprise to me that things turned out like this. I wasn't surprised but I was slightly disappointed. From all they've told me, I would have assumed that they would act with a little more caution. Regina and Zelina both saw some of my power in the office. This blonde Emma seemed to hold power but she trusted easily when it comes to Regina, it appears.

Granted, it also was a factor called Henry that did the final cinch. That boy trusted way too easily.

However, from all the power and my natural use with the sword, you would think that they would exercise a little more caution and put me in a holding cell until they knew they could trust me. That they would question me beyond what my name was and if I was a hero or a villain.

As I followed Henry through the town a few days later, I had no trouble keeping up with the fourteen or fifteen year old as he got excited to show me everything. We ended up on the dock, leaning over the railings at the water. Then came the fourteen year old Nico-questions.

"So did you live on Olympus? Have you met Zeus? How different is your Hades from our Hades? Have you ever been to the Underworld? How did you become the Savior of Olympus? Are you related to Hercules? Do you have any powers? Did you ever-"

"Whoa, dude!" I laughed as he stared at me with the biggest smile I have seen in a while. "One at a time! No, I never lived on Olympus but I have been there, a few times. Yes, I've met Zeus, he's my uncle. The Hades in my dimension is my uncle too, he's pretty cool. I've been to the Underworld at least twice. I am related to Hercules, he's my cousin and Hades of a jerk. I have powers over water and fire from my dad and adoptive mom."

"So who's your dad then?" Henry started again. "Why were you in the Underworld? Why is Hercules a jerk? Who's your adoptive mom?"

"My dad is Poseidon, god of the seas," I answered before he could go any further, still laughing. "I was in the Underworld for a quest the first time and to get Achilles' curse the second time. Hercules was a jerk because he broke a friend of mine's heart-he's a player. My adoptive mom is Hestia, goddess of the hearth."

"That is so cool!" Henry said. "So can you, like, surf really well then? How many quests did you do? Are you on a quest now?"

"You know," I said, looking off to the ocean at the first question. "My cousin asked that and I still have not tried surfing. I've been on more quests than I can remember and...I guess you can say I'm on a quest now. A quest for a cure."

"A cure for what?" Henry asked. Hades, he was bipolar. At first he was full of energy and excitedly asking questions. Now his eyebrows were furrowed in concern and his voice went up.

I smiled softly at him and whispered, "Nightmares."

It was well after dark when Emma, the kid's mom came up to us and leaned over the railing as well.

"Come on, kids, we've got to get home, it's time for bed," she said, holding onto Henry's shoulders.

I gritted my teeth at the 'kid' comment. "Robin actually has a place for me at his camp," I informed her. "Henry showed me earlier, I can find my way on my own."

"Are you sure?" Emma said, looking at me like I was crazy. "I'm sure Regina has another room set up. Or you can take-" she stopped for a second "-Hook's place is open as well."

I looked at her and saw her pain. Smiling, I shook my head. "I won't cause you anymore pain," I said. "I will be fine at Robin's camp."

"Okay," Emma said, looking more than a little relieved. "If you say so."

On my path towards Robin's camp, I started feeling a tingling on the back of my neck. Taking out Riptide, I fingered the cap as I looked around warily.

"Perseus Jackson," a thundering voice sounded and it echoed through the trees around me.

"Zeus," I said as I realized who it was. "You're a drama queen here too?"

"Yes, he is," another voice said from behind me. "He's also upset you disrespected his son earlier."

"If your Hercules is different from mine, I don't see how he would be taking offense." I said, turning around only to see a man with a Greek styled toga and a deep tan with a scruffy black beard. "Because then he wouldn't truly be his son."

The man said nothing, only stared at me. Studying me with deep green eyes that don't quite match my own. I studied him as well, seeing many differences from my father and this guy, who I assumed was this dimension's Poseidon. He wore a toga-not a Hawaiian shirt and a pair of Bermuda shorts-tied together with a fishing net with sea shells stuck in it.

"You're Poseidon?" I asked in clarification, eying him one more time.

"And you are my son?" He asked with a small smile.

"No," I shook my head. I was definitely not related to this guy. "You're not the Poseidon from my dimension. You are nothing like my dad. Despite the shared domains."

"I agree," he said with a bigger smile. "We look nothing alike. What is your father like?"

I smiled. "Hawaiian T-shirts, Bermuda shorts and fishing poles," I answered, laughing.

Poseidon laughed as well. "Definitely not me," he confirmed. "What are you doing here? In this realm?"

I looked around, as if the answer would present itself. "You know," I said, "I don't know, I stepped through the door not thinking about anything in particular. Just for a place away from where I was."

"A place to heal?" Poseidon said kindly. "If even by a small amount."

I smiled softly, looking into space. "Yes," I whispered.

🍎            🍎            🍎            🍎

A scream woke me up and I jerked up in the one-man tent from the first dreamless sleep I've had in a long time. Ignoring my sluggish mind, I grabbed Riptide and scrambled out of the tent. I uncapped my blade and started running in the direction I heard the scream.

I ran into Robin on my way and noticed his wrapped head.

"You sure you should be fighting?" I said with a pointed look at his injuries.

"It came from this way," was his answer as he led the way to the edge of the forest.

Shrugging, I followed him, staying clear of his bow and arrow already drawn.

We emerged from the forest and into a street in time to see several short men staring at a raging beast not far from them.

Emma, Regina and Zelina were all there, shooting magic bursts out of their hands at the monster.

I laughed when I saw who they were fighting. Still in the same tighty-whites as the first time. It appears loin cloths are for special occasions, like a war.

Before I could stop him, Robin drew back and shot an arrow at the bull-headed monster terrorizing the seven dwarf sized men...wait...are those the seven dwarves?

This place is like a walking story book.

The arrow Robin (Robin Hood!) managed to shoot only served to aggravate him. The arrow-not being made of Celestial Bronze-only bounced off the Minotaur's forehead.

"Hey, Beef-head, over here!" I shouted before anyone else would be stupid enough to attack my old friend. They were having no affect on him at all. "Ready for round three?"

I raised my sword and charged.

My old friend remembered all the times we fought. He was learning and he got good. Really good.

But not good enough.

We charged at each other and slashed, his Omega axe barely missing my head and my sword just missing his gut, hitting his leg instead. Swinging back around, we studied each other with me next to the three sorcerer ladies and him by the forest. Fortunately, Robin made it over by the dwarves while we were fighting.

"What are you doing," Regina demanded. (AN: as I wrote this, I heard it in Regina's voice, anyone else?)

"I could say the same to you," I retorted. "Only Celestial Bronze or Imperial gold will work on this guy."

"What? What's that?" Emma asked in concern.

I grinned and showed her my sword. "Meet Riptide, made of Celestial Bronze," I said before charging again.

"So that was your third time fighting the Minotaur?" Henry asked excitedly as we entered a Granny's Diner later after the fight.

"Yep," I answered. "I just didn't think he would be here of all places. He disappeared into gold dust, something only monsters in my dimension do. He must have followed me."

"Tartarus is a primordial," came a low voice. "He can reach places the gods cannot."

"Gold," Emma said in a cold voice. She and Regina had been following Henry and I into the diner, looking on in amusement.

"What do you want?" Regina asked now.

"Ah, ah, dearies," he said quietly. "Nothing from you, don't worry."

"I don't make deals," I called, because, really, who else could he have wanted?

"Are you sure?" He said, tilting his head incredulously. "All I want is that piece of crystal and you want that cure. We could trade." He held up a bottle filled with a blue liquid.

I froze. First of all, how did he know I got the remains of the crystal? Second of all- "That would work?" I asked, expressionlessly.

"Indeed," he shook it as if it would tempt me more. "No more cursed nightmares."

I started walking towards him. "Percy, don't," Emma warned.

"He's Rumpelstiltskin," Henry started. "Don't trust him."

Ignoring them, I walked right up to him. Faster than anyone could react to, I grabbed the potion and smashed it on the ground.

Everyone stared in shock at the smashed pieces of the bottle except me. I stared at 'Gold', as Emma called him. "I would rather have a thousand nightmares every night than let something as powerful as the Olympian Crystal fall into the hands of a man like you," I told him quietly.

"That can be arranged," he tried.

I stared at him for a second then smirked. "It already has," I told him as I turned away and went inside.

"Do you really have cursed nightmares every night?" Henry asked as he followed me in.

I didn't answer right away, still getting over the shock of having a cure in my hand only for it to disappear. "Not every night," I answered finally. "Once a year...the day before my birthday. The rest of the time is regular demigod nightmares."

"Regular demigod nightmares?" Regina asked now.

I turned a wry smile on to her. "Did you think the life of a demigod was fight this monster with cool powers, get some glory and have a happy life?" I asked in return. "No, none of the demigods have that sort of life. Mine seems to be the worst of all of them. Our dreams always mean something. Mine normally mean a war is coming or some powerful person in my family is out to get me."

"That's rough," Emma said, slightly startled.

"Tell me about it," I snorted. "One time I managed to get a relatively good dream about a happy life with my girlfriend as a married couple. I'm pretty sure there were a couple kids there too." I turned away bitterly. "Turns out the Fates love taunting me."

🍎            🍎            🍎            🍎

"Are you sure you can't stay a little longer?" A woman I've come to know as Snow White said, giving me a hug.

How cool is that? I met Snow White and Prince Charming! Not to mention Captain Hook came back. He's apparently a good guy in this world and Peter Pan was a villain. Much better change if I say so myself. And Regina was the Evil Queen! This place kept getting better and better.

I smiled down at the short nice lady. "I'm sure," I told her. "I'm a demigod. If I stay in one place too long, I'll attract monsters much like yesterday and this afternoon."

This afternoon, a hellhound appeared out of nowhere and almost got Henry. More of a close call than the Minotaur. Got me in the back with it's claws.

That and this Rumplestiltskin was making me nervous.

"Have a safe trip," Charming said with a smirk.

"Try not to fall on anyone," Robin added.

Despite my short time with them, we've gotten close enough to tease. The guy loved reminding me about my fall when I arrived.

"Good bye, Henry," I said, ruffling his hair. "Stay out of trouble alright?"

"Says you," he snorted.

Laughing, I waved my hand and walked through the door of the mayor's office.

I ended up walking into a large forest but almost immediately face planted. Not used to walking with four legs and a large pair of wings on my back.

"What the-" I said-well, tried to say. All that came out were growls. I lifted a...claw to my face and almost fell again from the instability of my three other limbs. "What in Hades am I?"

Again, it came out as a series of growls.

Looking around for some clue as to where I was, I could see trees all around me and mountains to my right. A forest. To my left was a fast moving river, the water looking altogether too tempting in the afternoon light. The sky was clear of clouds and no one else seemed to be around.

Deciding to give in to the temptation, I slipped into the water, not making a sound. It seems this body was made for swimming; it moved with the water like it was part of it. I was gliding through the currents with such ease, it was like I had been doing it all my life.

After some time, the river opened up into the clean. It was a welcome change, it was more open, had more space. Where as the river didn't go deep enough at times to cover me all the way, I could feel my wings poking above the surface of the water.

I followed the shore from a distance, looking for some kind of civilization. I needed to find out what I looked like, some kind of reflective surface was needed. As well as some food. The fish were here in abundance, however, I was not going to eat them raw. Just because I guessed myself a dragon, I was not going to become so barbaric.

I was so focused on my thoughts and growling stomach, I didn't notice the other dragon until it was too late. I slammed head first into its body and caused to to let out a roar.

"OWW!" It roared, swimming away from me. "Watch where you are going!"

It was out of earshot by the time I realized I could understand the dragon.

Doing my best shrug in dragon form, I kept swimming, flicking my long tail so as to stay on a constant course. As far as I could tell, my tail had fins on opposite sides of each other and I had some weird webbing under my front arms. My color was a clear color, seeming to blend in with the water as I moved so that I was almost invisible. That was as much as I could see without the help of a mirror.

I came across civilization soon after my run in with the other dragon and keeping in mind the fact that dragons are a form of monster, I got out of the water in the forest and watched from afar.

However, before I could get a good look at the village, my wound from the hellhound earlier started acting up. It obviously did not get the opportunity to heal all the way. I growled in pain and twisted my longer neck to look behind me. I could barely see my back and the gauges in my back that looked a lot deeper now that I was a dragon.

I had gotten them bandaged by Mary Margaret and Emma but they must have torn off when my body...changed. It hurt to move my wings back around and arched my back, hoping to ease the pain. Unfortunately, the pain worsened and I roared, scaring some tiny dragons and birds from the trees.

"Hello?" Came another roar, though less in pain. "Do you need help?" The growls came from a little ways away, from the edge of the forest.

"Obviously they need help, Barf, they sound like they're in pain," came another growl.

"Can you two stop fighting for one minute?" That one sounded exasperated and absolutely done with the first two voices.

Through all this, I had frozen, keeping still and silent out of instinct more than any real need to hide. So when another lower voice from behind me said, "Can I help you?" I nearly jumped ten feet in the air, my wings opening slightly at my surprise.

That only caused me to hiss in pain and fall to the ground, my legs too weak to hold me up with all the onslaughts of pain suddenly racking my back and body.

"Guys, come on, he needs medical attention!" The voice that scared me out of my skin roared.

Immediately, thundering feet brought five other dragons to my area. The dragon that scared me came into my line of vision where I was on the ground. He was a black dragon with brilliant green eyes. While I could tell he was smaller than the others, I could also tell he was the leader by the way he ordered the other dragons around.

"Barf, Belch, go get your riders and a net, we're going to need help in getting him to Berk," he was saying. "Meatlug, see if you can get your rider to get his first aid kit."

Then the black dragon turned to me, putting his face close to mine. "Hang in there, friend, I'm going to get Hiccup. He'll know what to do," he said, trying to be reassuring. I don't know how hiccups are helpful though. I was passing out just as he said, "Stormfly, Hookfang, keep watch. We don't want what ever did this to him to finish the job."

I woke up every now and then to weird scenes, they made me want to slip back into unconsciousness. People with horns on their heads looking down at me in concern, dragons of all shapes and sizes flying around, the strange and ever present stench of fish.

When I finally woke up for good, it was to a blonde girl right in front of my face. A familiar scene. It reminded me so forcefully of when I first met Anna-...her, that I woke up all the way. My eyes shot open, a panicked growl erupted from my throat and I scrambled away form her to the corner of the room I was in.

Once I was suitably far enough away form her, I looked around. I appeared to be in a neat stable with a door wide open. I would have made a dash for it but the blonde girl was in the way.

I was breathing heavily, my eyes trained on the blonde like a tiger. I was so focused on her that I almost didn't notice a scrawny looking guy coming at me with his hand outstretched. Once I did, I noticed three guys and another girl looking eagerly at me. One saying repetitively, "Do the hand thing, please do the hand thing..."

That was when I realized how close the first guy was getting. I backed up some more, even though there wasn't much space for me to back into. Fortunately that gave the guy a hint as to how much I liked his proximity. He stopped moving and just kept his hand out stretched, his head turned away with his eyes closed.

"He did the hand thing!" The boy that was muttering said, leaning into another kid's ear.

"Shut up!" The kid whispered back.

My eyes went from them to the boy in front of me then to the doorway, where six dragon heads looked in. The black dragon was there, looking kind of proud as he watched the boy wait patiently with his hand outstretched. He saw me looking at him and gestured to the boy with an encouraging nod.

I had no idea what I was suppose to do so I got on my hind legs and decided to take it as a hand shake. I extended one claw and clasped his hand in mind and shook it up and down.

Now everyone looked confused. The boy in front of me most of all. The big guy that wanted some 'hand thing' looked disappointed but took out some bards and started muttered gently again.

"Uh, Fishlegs?" The scrawny boy called back, his eyes not leaving me.

"...Four legs and two wings...fins on long tail and down the back...under the arms too..." the guy called Fishlegs was saying. "He's a mix of the water class and the earth class. New species."

Species? I am a human being, not some animal-wait. I looked down at myself. Dang it, still dragon, not a human. I hope this doesn't last for my next trip. It is annoying not being able to talk to people.

"Why do you have those gashes on your back?" One of  the dragons asked. "And what's with all those scars?"

"Hookfang! You don't just ask people why they have scars," a colorful, blue, orange and yellow dragon hit a particularly spiky dragon on the head.

I sat in silent amusement as the black dragon rolled his eyes and came closer to me. "Do you have a rider?" He asked.

I snorted. "No," I growled back, still not liking this new form of communication. "My name is Percy, what's yours?"

"Toothless," he answered. "Hiccup-" he gestured to the scrawny boy "-named me. Who named you if you don't have a rider?"

"My mother," I returned. "What is this place?"

"Berk," Toothless answered. "Where are you from?"

I didn't want to answer that so instead, I asked, "Who are all these people?"

"Hiccup," the alpha of his people," Toothless started. "He calls it 'chief'. Astrid-" the blonde I woke up to "Hiccup's mate. Fishlegs-" the big guy with the guards "-Snotlout-" the kid who told Fishlegs to shut up "-Roughnut and Toughnut-" twins I guessed "-are Barf and Belch's riders. Meatlug is Fishleg's ride. Hookfang is Snotlout's ride and Stormfly is Astrid's ride."

Deciding to get something out of the way, I started forward, startling the bickering group of humans into silence. I walked unsteadily up to Astrid, analyzing her as I did so.

"Hiccup?" She said worriedly. "What's he doing?"

"I don't know?" He said. "Toothless?"

I heard an answering growl before another directed at me. "Percy, what are you doing?"

I did nothing for a second or two before growling, "This Astrid, she is trustworthy?"

"What? Of course she is, what makes you say that?" Stormfly said defensively.

Waiting for Toothless' answer, I said nothing.

Toothless seemed to understand slightly where I was coming from. "Same one that looked like her gave you those scars, didn't they?"

That made the dragons freeze.

"Not all of them," I confirmed, "but most. And not all of them visible."

Immediately, the stable was crowded with dragons trying to comfort me as I very nearly broke down. Toothless must have communicated something with his rider because Hiccup gasped.

"A human that looks like Astrid hurt him?" He said to clarify, causing the other humans to gasp. Astrid, whom I was still staring down, got tears eyed and her hands leapt to her mouth in shock.
