[29] I'll come over
"Marsha, it'll pass it's okay." He told me in attempt to calm me down through the phone... trying to comfort me as much as he could over the line while I sat up quite terrified in my bed.
It was the middle of the night, and there was a big storm outside. I had always been afraid of thunder, so when It first started Billie rang me up straight away to check on me. Knowing I would be scared.
"I know, but it's been going on for so long now. I can't sleep."
"Want me to come over?" He asked.
"Are you crazy?" I said opening my curtains and looking out the window. The rain heavily coming down. "Beej it's raining so bad outside and-"
"-I have an umbrella."
"Billie an umbrella isn't going to help with this weather it's-"
"-I'll run."
"Billie Joe,"
"Yes?"
"I don't want you getting cold out there."
"Too late I'm putting my coat on, make sure to have your window open ready I'm not waiting outside like I normally do."
"Billie joe I-!" The call ended. I couldn't help but sort of laugh to myself until a huge bolt of lightning struck outside and flashed through my room making me jump.
I waited in my bed, wrapped securely in my quilt as I hugged it for some sort of comfort. I waited for what felt like ages just hoping for Billie to hurry his ass up and get here.
Suddenly there was a loud knock on my window as I jumped up already scared, I looked over to the window to see Billie joes face there, his hair in his eyes wet and rain dripping down him. I quickly rushed out of bed and opened the window as the wind began blowing in my room and since it was raining at a certain angle a bit of rain got in too. I quickly pulled him in as he thumped on the floor with a groan then quickly shut the window.
"What was that bang!? Is everything okay love?" I heard my mom shout. Billie looked up at me with wide eyes worried.
"Everything fine, something just fell off my desk is all!" I shouted back. "Billie get up!" I whispered as he still looked at me on the floor. He shook his head as I extended my hand to help him up. He shook his head like a dog with wet fur causing the rainwater his hair had soaked up to flick everywhere.
"Billie!" I squealed shielding my face as he gave me an innocent grin back. I grabbed a towel That was folded in my room as I ruffled Billies hair with it.
"What are you doing?" He laughed trying to shove me away as I giggled dodging his hands and carrying on.
"Stay still I'm drying your hair!" He finally stopped moving about as I carried on with his hair, then threw the towel on a chair in the corner of my room.
Afterwards, we sat down on the edge of my bed silently. He smiled over to me, with his wet clothes still dripping.
"Want to borrow some clothes?" I asked him.
"What clothes are you gonna have to lend me?" Billie scoffed sarcastically.
"Well, I have your joggers that you leant me when I was short on that trip washed and in my draw and well, I've got tops you've worn before," I smirked.
"Okay fine," he smiled standing up, I went over to my draws and grabbed out the pair of black joggers he leant me once I had accidentally spilt a drink on mine, and I picked out a baggy top that was oversized for me and threw it over to him. "Looks like you're gonna have to get changed here since erm, you can't really go into the bathroom- since, well since you aren't actually supposed to... be here," I said looking over at him. He smirked back at me.
"Are you sure that's why?"
"Yes, Billie I-" suddenly the thunder interrupted my sentence as I felt myself jump. Billie began laughing at me as I walked over to him. "Shut up."
"You jumped out of your skin!" He laughed.
"Yeah because-!" Again there was another clap of thunder as I automatically without even meaning to felt myself grab tight on to Billies arm.
"Awww, you scared?" He teased, I shoved myself away from him embarrassed.
"Shut up and get changed," I said, my face getting red as I turned around.
"Why are you turning around?"
"Well- you're getting changed?"
"Yeah but it's not like we haven't seen each other in our underwear before when we jumped into the sea together!"
"Doesn't mean it has to be a normal, regular thing!" I laughed turning around. "Now hurry up, get changed so we can get into bed. It's late and I'm super tired."
After a while of us arguing against each other he finally changed while I was turned around into his joggers and my shirt, with a pile of his wet clothes next to the towel I used for his hair.
I got into my bed and looked up at him, he was stood up on his phone. "Come on Beej, get in."
"Where?"
I laughed as he looked at me strangely.
"What?" He asked me.
"You act like we didn't share a bed with one another for a whole week and you haven't stopped over in my house before."
He rolled his eyes as he got into bed next to me and I pulled the quilt over us. He placed his head gently on my shoulder as I was on my phone. He was looking up at me, I saw it in the corner of my eye but tried to ignore it. Then I sort of just gave in and looked back down at him. "What?" I whispered to him smiling.
"You're so pretty y'know."
"What?"
"N-nothing!" He said quickly moving his head.
"Awww come on Beej, I think you're pretty too!" I teased.
"Oh shut up."
"You know I love you." I smiled, I hadn't realised what I said until after it came out, but I didn't even want to take it back. The smile on his face made me feel warm. He placed his head back on my shoulder.
"I love you." He said softly. "I need a favour from you tomorrow."
"What? Can't you ask Tre or Mike to do it?"
"It would be a bit weird, I would prefer it if you would." He said taking his head off my shoulder once again and grinning at me.
"Okay go on then," I smiled. "I'm all ears."
"Well," he said sitting up. "You know my hair?"
"Yes, you're signature bleach blonde hair."
"Well," he smiled. "I was thinking about dying it some sort of crazy colour..."
"What!? But I like your blonde hair?"
"Yeah, y'know like... Red. I wanna dye it red."
"Red!?"
"Yeah." He smiled. "Will you help me?"
"Erm- I mean. Yeah. Sure- sure yeah. Red hair. Yeah- I guess that could look hot-"
"-hot!?" He smiled.
"No, no wrong word I meant-"
"-I'm definitely dying it red now." He winked.
"Oh be quiet." I yawned looking over at the clock. "Billie it's nearly one o'clock. We need to sleep." I said rubbing my eyes and looking over to him.
"Yeah yeah, you're right." He said laying back down as I did. I rested my head on his chest as I heard his heartbeat, and his chest slowly falls and rise under my head. "Should I turn off the lamp?"
"Yeah,"
He nodded as he moved up a little and the light went off. And then moved back so my head was back on his chest. We were sat in the quiet as I noticed.
"Hey, the storms gone," I said realising there wasn't any heavy rain battering on the window.
"You're right" he chuckled. "I hadn't even noticed that y'know."
"Course you wouldn't. You're not the sharpest tool in the shed."
"I'm fine with that, I could live with being a hammer." He shrugged, as I felt his shoulders move.
"A hammer?"
"Yeah."
"Why a hammer?"
"Well, I mean. They're not really sharp at all. They're flat."
"And...?"
"And they do bang a whole lot,"
I couldn't help but laugh, I was waiting for him to say it. "Well let's think about this Billie joe when was the last time you did bang?"
"Erm..." his voice trailed off as he was thinking. "Like.... a week, maybe longer before I met you?"
"And how long have we known each other?" I smirked. Though we were in the dark and he couldn't see it.
"Ages."
"There you go."
"Yeah right okay, you got me to confess my sex life is dead. Are you satisfied?"
"Quite so yes."
"Alright miss Brooks, when was the last time you did the deed?"
"The deed!?" I snorted.
"Marsha be quiet!"
"Sorry I just-" I ended up chocking on my laughter again as I felt him nudge me, meaning shut-up-this-conversation is-still-going-and-you're-wasting-time. "Okay okay, sorry."
"Alright then. Sex, shagged, banged, fucked, intercourse when was the last time you-"
"Intercourse!?" I began to holler hysterically again, like a child.
"Why is that funny to you? Y'know you call me a child a whole lot but your laughing over the word intercourse."
"Okay! I've stopped."
"Right, so. When was the last time you got in?"
"So we're referring to it as got in now or-"
"-shut up! And answer the question."
And then I went quiet. The truth? I was a big fucking virgin. I was never one for just 'getting in' with someone who you wasn't serious with, or actually had feelings towards. It was stupid, you'd cause drama, your at risk of STDs, you're only doing it to satisfy your fucking hormones and not for anything else it was all just stupid. I never thought a lot about sex. It wasn't a thing that crossed my mind, obviously until this conversation with Billie and maybe a bit before.
"Well?" He asked.
"Erm- well- the thing is I-"
"-I knew it!" He laughed. "You're just a big virgin!"
"Okay yes!-" I said sitting up from laying on his chest pointing my finger at him, I could faintly make out his facial features from my curtains still being open and the moonlight and the street lamps shining through. "-But! There is nothing wrong with being pure and saving yourself for the right person!"
"Are you sure your Saving yourself, or have you never just had the chance?" He smirked.
"Ah! No! I have actually had many chances!" I said quickly. And I wasn't lying. There was that time at the party Alice threw in her big house while her mom and dad were on a trip together for their honeymoon. When Micheal Nicks had approached me and asked me if I was interested in 'taking this to the bedroom', which I politely declined until he insisted. Then I had broken his nose... or that's what he claimed. at least I'm pretty sure I just bruised it. He was just a drama queen. And there were other times, like when I had met a boy on my Holliday. He was asking me sexual questions all night then texted me later and asked if I wanted to stop by at his caravan. Which I said no because there was no way I was losing my innocence in a fucking caravan first of all. And second of all he was only interested in me for nothing else but knowing I was a virgin.
I liked Billie because he was interested before he even knew that.
"Okay like when?"
"Well there was Micheal nicks, there was this guy on holiday, Sam Carter-"
"And you said no?"
"Yeah. I tried being nice about it to Micheal. But he wasn't having it."
"Do you...?"
"I punched him."
"Wow!" He laughed, we laid back down. "Feisty, okay and the other guys?"
"Well, the guy on holiday only wanted to do it with me because of the fact that I was a virgin."
"And the last one?"
"Oh. he was Alice's cousin, well still is obviously. Which although he did have charming looks and I would have maybe considered it-" I lied teasing him as I felt him shove me. "-Okay okay, I wouldn't have considered it. But he was good looking I-" he shoved me again. "-Okay! Okay, I said no because it was my best friends cousin. And well, that would just be awkward."
"Ah." He said. "So... you're a girl. Whose had chances. And kept her V card because why?"
"Well because I'm waiting for the right one. Y'know? You only lose it once. And you don't want your first experience with a dude you can't even remember the name of, or while your drunk at some party. It's supposed to be... well nice obviously. It's not supposed to put you off the whole idea." I said, speaking seriously.
"You made me wish I didn't lose it to some random girl."
"See, and I'm still pure, and innocent."
"Yeah okay."
"Have you ever stole a girl virginity before?" I asked, randomly but I was curious.
"If I say I haven't can I take yours?"
"Maybe."
"Wait what!" He shouted out loud as he sat up quickly. I smiled happily as I turned over away from him.
"Well, goodnight Beej,"
"Wait but-!"
"-Goodnight!"
"Aww come on Marsha I-"
"-Goodnight Billie joe!" I felt him cross his arm has he huffed like a child. And laid back down sulking.
"Night." He said bluntly. Pretending to be annoyed.
"I love you."
"Aww fuck," I heard him say, I could tell he was smiling. He breathed out. "I love you too."
