[19] Its the eyes
We were back in the hotel, and just had the text from Mike and Tre that they had arrived. They were currently coming into the hotel and unpacking, and then we would all meet up at a bar that Mike and Tre saw when they went past that they explained, 'looks pretty sick' and 'we have to go there!'
I sat on the sofa that was in front of the tv in our hotel room, as Billie was laid on the bed over the covers on his phone.
After a moment of watching Television My phone began to ring. I looked at the contact to see it was only Casey. So I answered. "Hello?"
"Marsha!! How's everything been since?! It's Casey!" She said cheerfully down the line, she was asking about the Billie situation. I looked over at him, he was now sat up looking at me confused. I quickly went into the bathroom and locked the door behind me beginning to speak.
"Sorry, I had to move rooms I have so much to tell you!"
Billies P.O.V
I watched Marsha as she locked herself in the bathroom while on the phone, and being the curious person I was. I decided I was going to eavesdrop. Since it was obviously about me.
I walked over to the bathroom door and placed my ear on it, able to hear her speak.
"Okay so we went to the beach, and we were drinking beers and then decided it would be some sort of a good idea to jump into the sea- In our underwear!- so we did. And I'm in my bra and pants and he's in his boxers and he comes over to me and like pulls me in- under Water by the way- like he had his arms around my waist so I did what you said and put my arms over his shoulders. And I was thinking, he's gonna kiss me, and he goes right up to my ear and whispers 'you would have liked it if I kissed you wouldn't you'!" She shouts down the phone, explaining happily to someone what happened on the night we went to the beach.
But I was confused, who was she telling?
"I don't know," I heard her speak up again. "He said it was to tease me, but then we got in the car and because Alice likes Mike and everything the drummer of his band, y'know Tre, quit. So he was getting really upset in the car about it because he said he just wanted to make someone proud, and I was like so close to crying myself. So obviously I hugged him, we went to his friend's house the next day. I sorted it and I asked him why he didn't kiss me and he told me he was waiting for the perfect moment to kiss me." She goes on again. I really did want to know who she was talking to because this person was getting to know everything.
She went on to tell them about when I asked her to come with me on this trip and earlier on today at the café and everything. Then I heard her say goodbye, as I freaked out and jumped on the bed, trying my darnedest to act natural.
"Hey Billie." She smiled, coming out of the bathroom with her phone in her back pocket.
I couldn't help but smirk. "Hey,"
Marsha's P.O.V
Later on, once the boys were ready. We met them up in the lobby of the hotel, since we obviously stayed in the same one, and Tre drove us to this bar they so desperately wanted to check out.
We got parked outside of it, to see a lot of lights from the outside. I could hear loud music coming from inside, Amd I wasn't exactly good with places like bars or anything like that. I would have just preferred a nice night with the four of us in mine and Billies hotel room getting drunk or high or something like we always do together. Not go to a bar.
But it was too late, I simply just didn't have a say in it anymore as we walked inside. The music was louder than it was when we hadn't opened the doors, making my ears ring.
I looked around to see a few drunk people dancing, people getting up on karaoke- must have been karaoke night- coloured lights dancing around the room which I'm guessing was a trivia of the whole singing night, bartenders delivering drinks and picking up empty glasses left around the place and a few chilled out people sat at tables or at the bar.
We walked over to the bar as we all ordered drinks. And once we had them we went and found a table to sit at, a bit too close to the obnoxious drunk singers on karaoke for my liking.
"You okay?" Billie asked me, looking over at me. I sat quietly for the last few minutes as the rest of them chattered, twiddling my thumbs.
I nodded. "Yeah, just the music is sort of giving me a headache."
"Do you wanna move tables?"
"No, no that's okay. I'll get used to it." I smiled, like an idiot. I know I'm gonna regret later on in the night not taking on that offer to move tables.
I zoned out staring at the klutz on karaoke. Stumbling about singing some odd song, you could tell everyone in the bar apart from her friend hyping her up wanted her to get off of karaoke.
"See we told you guys this place is Cool," Tre said looking around.
"Yeah," Billie nodded sarcastically "You really do pick out the best places to get drunk Tre. Thanks for the reminder of why we call you Tre cool, Mr cool."
"I think this is a good place," Mike added.
"I think that women on karaoke needs to stop deep throating the microphone." I scoffed to myself. Not exactly meaning to say it out loud, but all the boys began to laugh.
"She's got skills," Mike said sarcastically, beginning to laugh. Tre punched his arm laughing.
"She looks like she's about to swallow it." Billie snorted.
Then the women on karaoke looked over at us.
"Dude, she thinks we're checking her out." Billie cringed turning away from her gaze.
I couldn't help but laugh as the rest of the boys did the same as Billie had, desperately looked away.
"She winked!" Tre near enough shouted, but she wouldn't hear it with the size of those speakers behind her.
"If she comes over after this shitty cover of country roads we're absolutely dead," Mike breathed out. Putting his head in his hands.
"God, you've all got yourself in a mess." I laughed, being the only one who wasn't worried about her coming our way after this song. Actually I would find it quite amusing if she did.
"This is your fault!" Billie quickly added. I still laughed.
And Mike was right. After she had finally decided to stop hogging karaoke she stumbled over to our table. With her flimsy high heels and her cheap dress, if you could call it that. It was near enough a top.
"I saw you boys staring." She smiled obnoxiously twisting her hair around her finger, thinking they were into her.
"Oh, no. We were looking at the karaoke, we were debating on one of us going up there." Billie quickly lied bluntly, shutting her down. Which only makes the three of us apart from him and the klutz laugh.
"Maybe we should do a duet," she winked. I could have punched her, I had been trying for weeks from Billie just to get a fucking kiss and if she thinks she's got anything on me, she's mistaken.
Billie said nothing but laughed, straight in her face. As she stood there confused. Which made me feel way better. Once he stopped he looked up at her still sort of laughing. "No thanks."
They began to argue as she walked off. That obviously deserved a high five.
We had all finished our drinks... so I was feeling kind of redundant to the conversation they were all having, about their band. So I offered to go pick us another round.
I walked to the bar repeating everyone's drinks in my head. As I asked a young bartender for them and paid with the money they had given me.
"Hey beautiful," I heard an unfamiliar voice say, I turned to the side of me to see a guy my age, leaning at the bar looking at me with a smirk. something in the way he looked at me and licked his lips like I was the last Antelope to a lion made me feel uneasy. He had short electric blue hair and green eyes. But not like Billies, they weren't like Billies. They didn't make me feel like Billie joes made me feel, they actually made me feel mildly ill.
"Hi." I smiled, tucking my hair behind my ear uncomfortably. I was still pretty confused with flirting. The only person I had ever flirted with is Billie and sometimes I can't tell when we are flirting with each other.
"I'm Leon." He introduces himself. So I guess it was just the unrude thing to introduce myself too.
"I'm Marsha."
"You got a large order, Marsha." He laughed. Referring to the number of drinks I ordered.
"Yeah," I smiled nervously. "It's for me and my friends."
"Ahh, you here with some friends?" He asked me, his gaze sort of becoming more interested. I nodded my head and pointing to the table where the three boys sat, but Billie looked over at me once I pointed. I watched Leon nod his head as we both looked away from the table.
"Which ones yours?" He asked me. What did he mean?
"What?"
"Which ones your boyfriend?" He asked again, rewording it.
"I am." I heard Billie say as I turned to feel his arm slither around my waist. I couldn't help but smile as I watched Leon because instantly nervous, intimidated by Billie. He was an intimidating person.
"Oh, sorry dude I didn't realise she was yours." He said nervously.
"She pretty ain't she?" Billie said to him, still with a blunt voice. He nodded slowly. "Well, she's mine." He hissed, as I watched Leon as he walked away quite fast after that. The way he referred to me as his, something I could and wanted to get used to.
"You okay? Need any help carrying the drinks back?" He asked me as the bartender put them all in front of the two of us.
"I can't believe you." I smiled taking two drinks in my hand as he moved his hand from my waist and grabbed the other two.
"Just doing my job of being a good boyfriend." He winked, as we walked to the table. I couldn't help but laugh as we set down four drinks on the table for the four of us.
"Marsha!" I heard someone shout from behind me.
We all turned around quickly to see who the voice belonged to.
"Oh my god!" I shouted running to and throwing my arms around her as she pulled me into a tight hug.
She pulled me back by my shoulders and looked at me closely. "You didn't tell me you were here!?"
"I didn't know you were here!"
I heard the boys cough, waiting for a reason why we had just sort of made a scene in the bar.
"Sorry guys, this is Casey! Casey this is Billie, Mike and Tre." I introduced them all.
"I've heard so much about you Billie." She smiled shaking his hand, Billie wasn't the normal shaking hands type but he shook hers.
"Well hello beautiful," I heard Tre say, as Casey looked down and blushed instantly.
And then there we were, for the rest of the night sat drinking between the five of us. Catching up on things and telling stories. And Tre was making some real moves on Casey and she was living for it. But Billie sat close to me for the rest of the night, he had moved his chair closer to mine and I felt him looking around a lot. Like he was paranoid or something.
"Billie, I'm going out for a cigarette you coming?" I elbowed him, asking him. He nodded as we told the group and I and Him went and sat outside on some park benches set at the back of the bar outside. Not even actually lighting up any cigarette.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked him.
"What do you mean?"
"You've been really close to me tonight, and looking around a hell of a lot."
"That guy at the bar," I couldn't help but laugh. "I'm serious Marsha, I don't trust that guy, he looks funny looking."
"Well, I could say the same about you," I laugh.
"Are you sure?" He asks me, cocking up one eyebrow and getting surprisingly closer to my face.
I felt immediately intimidated. But not in the way Leon made me feel, or the way Billie made Leon feel, in a sort of wow-this-is-really-hot sort of way. "I guess not no." I laughed.
Were we going to kiss this time?
"Was you jealous earlier?" I smile, teasing him. That's when he moved his face away and quickly denied being jealous. "Then how come you told him you're my boyfriend?"
"You looked uncomfortable!" He wealth defended. "I was helping you!"
"That's the only reason?" I asked, sort of hoping it wasn't.
He went to open his mouth. Then didn't, but then he spoke up. "Well, I wanna say yeah, so that it's less obvious how much I like you. But I'm afraid if I do I might end up hurting you a little." He chuckled. I liked how honest he was when he said things like that in moments like these.
"How can you tell?" I whispered furrowing my eyebrows. Confused on how spot on he was just by looking at me.
He could always do that. He told me I was transparent all the time, that he could see straight through me as if I was made of glass.
What was it that gave it away? What was it that gave me away? That told him how I was really feeling when my mouth could not. I needed to know, because it was confusing and frustrating me.
"It's the eyes." He whispered back gently to me, getting closer to my face again and tucking a lose piece of hair behind my ear slowly. "I've always loved your eyes-." He laughed. Talking about my brown eyes. "-Brown eyes have always been my favourite, but I've never come across a pair so deeply intense and tempting as yours. Your eyes, They always gave you away y'know." He smiled, gently. "Always made you transparent,"
