I think the cracks embedded themselves deep into my skin 

so deep that they disappeared 

which actually isn't a nice idea when you think about it

because now they've dug themselves deeper than ever before

and begin to entwine with my flesh 

they partake in every breath 

every cell is conquered by 'the cracks'

which means I will inevitably become a series of 'cracks'

time will tick

waiting for me to crack into a million pieces
